I was considering a Huawei P8lite ALE-L04 but don't want to commit until I know there is a safe way to Root and add Recovery. Reading the forumns, I see instructions for ALE-21, but nothing for ALE-L04. Are there any confirmed methods to root the ALE-04.
Hello. There is a recovery for ALE-L04 you can find it herehttp://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/recovery-twrp-huawei-p8-lite-ale-l04-t3187989 I dont know why it hasnt been moved to this Forum, hope an OP will do it soon. About root I think the same process for ALE-21 works here.
Working root with KitKat version of ALE-L04:

Will it work for 5.1? Without root this pos is useless.
I tried kingroot 4.6.2. Need to connect to cloud to get root. Root not available 120 people requested root research. "Research requests is not enough". Goodbye huawei, hello something else, more root friendly.
install supersu on 5.1, thats the way you can get root acces

The problem is that the TWRP recovery listed for LP in the development section for the ALE-L04,must be for 5.0. I have installed on 5.1 and the recovery stays locked and non responsive to screen touches, so nothing can be flashed.
flashify...u can find it on google play
try it

hello, today I updated my huawei p8 lite ALE-L21 (dual sim) to B564 ( I was on B550)
so.... after the update I lost my root permission (as expected) but..I can't seem to root it again.
to root B550, I did it like this... 1) rooted via kingroot
2) unrooted via kingroot
3) flashed superSU.zip via TWRP
then I got root permission.
but this method doesen't work on B564, kingroot can't root it :/
if you have any idea how to root it (with what superSU zips) then please tell me

thaaaank you
worked
Is it possible?
You can not...
You can't flash SuperSU without having access to a custom recovery such as TWRP/CWR which requires a unlocked bootloader.
There has to be another way to install SuperSu, using recovery is just one of them... How about finding a kernel exploit?
Ok so I wanted to root my Huawei p9 lite a long ago, I followed a thread here and unlocked bootloader. But then I changed my mind and decided not to root yet.
Now that I want to root my phone have I have no access to my computer but the bootloader is unlocked. Is is possible to root it without using a PC? I don't have TWRP installed but bootloader is unlocked. I've tried kingroot and other apps, all seem to fail.
hi is it safe to root huawei p10 lite was lx1
with kingo root
witch is downloadable. apk file from their site
thanks in advice and have nice day
Yes. it's safe. I've used it for a several years on my old phone. But I'm not sure if you can obtain root on P10 Lite via KingoRoot.
The best root for P10 Lite is Magisk because it installs SU file in "/sbin/su" instead of "xbin/su".
If you're using Magisk you will have root even after OTA update!!!
If you're using KingoRoot, SuperSu or other SU you can NOT install OTA update, you need to install FullOTA and you will lose Root every time when you update the system. So, Magisk is the best ;p
thanks
magisk
that is good but can you point me to the exact and safe official thread for install the magisk
