When playing games likes pubg or any any other games or even scrolling through my gallery , when I use more than one touch the screen starts to behave abnormally. I know this problem is on most of the devices running on stock Android Oreo. Can someone tell me how to fix it without root?
Yes I'm facing the issue with almost all games that I play.
It works perfectly fine if you check it like that.. try playing some games like pubg when using 2 fingers for long it will behave abnormally, it will start moving in zig-zag pattern for a few seconds

Just played PUGB have no problem in controling player or playing game as such after june update I think its been fixed.
Have test with multi touch app on playstore all 10 fingers touch is working fine . Well some time its diff to control with 2 finger causing little zig-zag but still working pretty good after last update .
Also I am on stock with bootloader officially locked so can't say that for everyone it should work .

That is multi touch issue.
It should'nt happen.
Some times it is little, sometimes it is worse.

Bro, i'm playing pubg for hours{avg. 3h/day}, No issue till now. actually there is no issue like battery-draining/overheating/lag etc...
I'm on stock_rom+TWRP+MAGISK with 14.2016.1804.305 FW.
I have the same problem bro. I don't know how to fix that. Did yours got fixed?

Bro, actually there is no issue from the beginning. i'm great fan of PUBG, so its first game i've tried when i got this device [brought it from first pre-sale], after a while i installed twrp, magisk & reinstalled the the game. recently the game itself updated to its new version (0.6.0) but i never faced any issue.
Whats ur fw, i'm on 305, this week i'll update it to 309 & replay back about this.
Yes, there is multi-touch issue with this phone. A few games that I played that is like FPS are affected. The screen will sometimes jerk.

Maybe it's present on some phone. Because i can still experience this problem. I'm on 309 too
It's still present, I've also faced it. Asus should roll out june/July(as they said bimonthly security patches update) security patch update ASAP.

Hello everyone I have the HTC One M8 running CM13 and I have this problem where VR apps start rapidly clicking with this white dot in the middle of the screen as soon as they're started up. The phone then becomes unresponsive as it is registering clicks from it, making the phone freeze up. The only way I can get out of this is by locking the phone and rebooting the phone from the lock screen. I thought it was the magnetometer in the phone doing this so I installed an app to read it and searched up the normal ratings for what the sensor should be at and everything looks fine. I have tried reinstalling Android with a different version and still the issue persists. After a while the phone starts heating up from this and on some of the VR apps I have tried that use the same cardboard system the phone will rapidly vibrate as well. I have spent hours trying to figure out what may be causing this and still, no luck. The phone is not in a case, no magnets are any where near it. NFC is turned off, all apps are updated. If anyone knows a solution to this issue that would be great, thanks!

I have the exact same issue, the only time when the white dot wasn't showing was when my gyroscope was malfunctioning or just simply "off". I have no clue how to switch it off though.

had the exact same issue. same in pokemon go which ist a vr app. on several cm13 roms on my old m8.
only way i could fix it was to install a GPE rom. might be a cm13 bug for the m8 which never got fixed. so i guess anything not cm (aosp, gpe, stock) will work.
i dont own the m8 anymore but my old one and the one of a friend had ur issue on cm13. on gpe rom everything worked.

This problem was fixed a long time ago. The problem was the uncalibrated gyroscope, which they took out a few days after this thread was made. Just update your phone and it should work

I have an Lgg3, same process I removed the magnet thinking that was the issue, I updated all apps, removed app and re-downloaded them, have an unlocked phone running total wireless so I used a Verizon sim and updated the phone to the newest version, recalibrated the phone, nothing I mean nothing I can find will work for this issue that I can find. Only does it with 360 apps not on 180.

On several occasion I've had the media scanner stop working on my LG G6, and when i sync new pics or music to my phone it won't show up in the gallery or music players till i reboot the phone. it's quite annoying. Is this a software bug? I've never noticed this problem with previous android phones. Is there a way to re-initiate the media scanner without rebooting the phone?

Thanks for the post. I am glad to know I'm not the only one with the problem. There's too many bugs for sure. I hope an update comes soon. But I'm on Verizon so it may be a few months.

i install yestarday the lineage 2 revolution but when i attack mobs the game freeze. Any idea what's the problem? is the game or i have to do something in my phone?
I'm starting to think there is something with the phone or the OS (Assuming you're running OxygenOS too) because mine locks up momentarily when I play Sentinel 4 and there is a lot of enemies attacking. I can't even change the volume or press home when it's frozen but it will launch my requested actions once it comes back up.
I'm curious to know if someone else has the same issue too. I'm already cooperating with OnePlus' L2 support about USB audio not being there at all and also Bluetooth instability. I can tell them about the lock ups but I may want to try with your game to see if it does that on mine too. Do you have to get far in the game to experience those issue?
I found the problem. From game settings/device, i lower the sound effect volume from 75 to 0 and no more freezes but when i give just 1 freezes again but no like before. No idea if the problem coming from Snapdragon Audio+ install or the musicfx app.

On my end, lowering the in-game volume and uninstalling the Equalizer FX app that I got from the Play Store did not resolve mine. Although, I tried my game with the same progression on my Note 3 and my Note did not freeze like that even if it has more stuff running in background and installed overall. I'll keep searching.

I confirm it fixed the huge stutters I was having in Sentinel 4 so yeah, it was an OS issue. Glad it's fixed now. My phone feels fast again. \o/

My phone take 3 hours to charge fully from 10%. Seems to be same as previous version. Try restarting the phone before putting it for charging, it may help.

A) For me, changing wallpapers works like a charm. I haven't tried live wallpapers.

A) This is the norm for a lot of apps. One prominent example is Open Camera.

A) No problem here.

A) I have this issue. When playing games like Batman (tell tale), PUBG, etc. the touch does not respond correctly.

A) If you're talking about the switch off menu, I can't confirm this. I have never had the reboot to recovery option.

A) Seems okay to me. 2.5-3 hours from 5-100% battery.
Another bug that I have encountered is that some apps do not work on WiFi connection. The ones I can confirm are Twitter, PhonePe and Amazon Music. They work just fine on mobile data.

I have this issue too and I think this is considered a serious problem that Asus need to fix ASAP. A phone with multi-touch issue is really unusable especially when playing games which this phone is catered for. Is there an official Asus site that we file our complain?

The multitouch issue have been fixed in .316 build
I succesfully upgraded to marshmallow, but there is one bug. The bug is when the screen stay wake for 3 seconds and you try to zoom in or zoom out, your screen will be shaking (I was playing Clash of Clans while doing this). I'm pretty sure in Lollipop it doesn't happen. Anyone know how to fix it?
