Did you purchase from a carrier store?
I also have the same problem on my Moto G6, i just can't enable OEM Unlocking. I don't have bought from a carrier store, no bloatware are installed.
My device is Moto G6 XT1925-3
I booted on fastboot mode and it says that my Software Status is Modified (?) i'm on Stock Rom, didn't change anything.

Ohk dude my problem is I can't unlock my bootloader I got an error code with the code validation failure with status 7
You have any solution for that ?
First, give post the output of: fastboot getvar all
Make sure to use code tags. Several things to try here: https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/MOTORO...Validation-Failure-with-Status-7/td-p/3616544
If you try using google it is much faster then waiting and waiting for someone to reply.

Why can't you send getvar all? If your phone boots to bootloader you can get it.
As for the SDK, fastboot is part of the SDK so it could be fastboot related and therefore SDK related.
If you're not going to actually try to follow instructions and try things or provide the necessary info, I guess you don't need my help after all.

Hello,
if i try to get the unlock data of my device, cmd says;
(fastboot oem get_unlock_data)
oem lock in developer settings is activated. Further adb or fastboot commands run perfectly.
failed to get unlock data, please try again.
(FAILED) remote failure
Is there anybody, who can help me?
Activate developer options and unlock. Then retry.
Not successful!

Running out of things to try. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Motorola drivers and sdk. I have tried several different USB cables. Windows 10 and Linux. Debugging is enabled and OEM unlocking. I'm up for any suggestions.

Install motorola drivers.
Check both debugging and oem unlock in developer options.
Switch off phone.
Open the bootloader by pressing volume down and power button simultaneously.
Keep the phone on side. Don't connect it now.
Open the fastboot cmd or mfastboot cmd (whatever u have).
Then connect ur device.
Your device would show USB is connected in yellow among all the information at bottom.
Then proceed ahead.

Thanks for trying but that didn't work either. What does Device is ENGINEERING mean? It is what is in yellow on the fastboot screen. It also says AP Fastboot Flash Mode (Not Secure). Is this normal for this screen?

To start with, i've bought this from ebay and don't know backstory
Model XT1644
stuck in fastboot mode, can't go to recovery , when i choose recovery it's just hangs up.
It doesn't even charge, while plugged goes to fastboot , once i remove usb it turns off .
first it was only blinking white led on charger, now it goes to fastboot immediately .... while connected to pc it says battery ok charging in green , but once i connect it to charger it's written in red "battery low (charging)"
tried flashing with rsdlite and i'm stuck with Fail on gpt partition, neither fastboot fashing helps
tried few roms , with no luck
bootloader is locked and i can't unlock it either ,because oem unlock isn't active from system and can't do it either because can't boot to os
Any suggestions?
@jkjambo what was build number / android version before brick ? And which build are you flashing ?
To eliminate GPT error, try to skip flashing of GPT and BOOTLOADER.

It shows Baseband is unknown,
And bootloader is of date 13-04-2016 (one of marshmallow ROM)
If you are installing Marshmallow ROM by RDSlite and bootloader got downgraded to it, it is not good to flash.
BTW which version of ROM are you flashing ?
If it is built of marshmallow Then better to download Nougat ROM.

In addition to ____Mdd's post, a fastboot Nougat stock ROM that's the latest one we have (June 2017) is here https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4-plus/how-to/stock-rom-npjs25-93-14-4-march-1-t3608138 You could try flashing that.
Hmm, that device doesn't look healthy though, if you boot into bootloader, connect your device to your computer and type 'fastboot getvar all' without quotes in adb, can you post the output here please? On first glance, looks like the modem partition is not flashed properly or corrupted, alongside the downgraded bootloader.

I know it doesn't look healthy, not charging, no baseband, shuts off when it's not connected, says battery OK when it's on usb , but battery low , when it's on charger... definetely something wrong with it

You either have ditched the phone or fixed it already because I'm coming here so late, but this state you describe is a hard-brick. You need the blankflash file. Ask @echo92 to guide you through!

Download latest rom for your device then:
Fastboot flash partition gpt.bin
Fastboot flash bootloader bootloader.img
Fastboot reboot
It will unlock ur bootloader and so on.. happy killing or use it again
[SOLUTION!]
I was able to boot into fastboot mode, so I flashed the Motorola official firmware (DON'T FLASH BOOTLOADER.IMG AND GPT if your device has the newer version of firmware installed.)
Thanks to @gyarados025 @kkrupaa!
==================================================================================
After I dirty flashed the unofficial LineageOS 20180420 by @jwchen119 from the previous 20180317, I received some errors (photos below) while installing and reboot...
And now my phone can't boot up anymore.
(NOTE: I am still able to boot into TWRP recovery!)

Looks like the issue with Boot.img bcoz kernel is stored in boot.img.
Since you are able to use fastboot commands , try flashing the stock firmware.
Dont flash Bootloader.img & GPT if your device is on the latest version of firmware than the available.bcoz downgrading bootloader had bricked devices with Official OTA on some moto devices
Try using the RSDlite i.e the Software Repair assistant
Hope this helps
Blur_Version.25.221.9.kinzie_reteu.reteu.en.EU.zip
I dumped my moto X force into wash water and after drying it would not boot.
Does anyone have the original motorola Blur_Version.25.221.9.kinzie_reteu.reteu.en.EU.zip
Since my phone does not boot to GUI I cannot change the developer options and that version seems to be the only one I could install on the exising bootloader.
Recovery shows:

Thank you for the answer, however I only and defeinitely need the OTA, Blur_Version.25.221.9.kinzie_reteu.reteu.en.EU
Unfortunately I never did switch on the USB Debugging in the Developer->Options before my device was killed. So I am stuck with the installed bootloader...

flashing locked
Hi,
I am attempting to get lineage on my moto g6 plus.
I adhered to the rules of installing adb and fastboot, and it seems to be okay with my device ("fastboot devices" gives me my Serial number and "device".)
However, any other command (like fastboot oem device-info) gives me a FAILED (remote: 'unknown command').
fastboot version is 30.0.3-6597393
my fastboot mode screen on my device says "flashing_locked"
After I enter
Code:
fastboot flashing unlock_critical
it says
"OKAY".
but nothing changes on the phone display.
Do you have any idea or recommendation on where to look up that issue?

Microphone problems
My XT1926-6 4GB+64GB Latin America (Argentina) seems to have a hardware problem with the mic (doesn't work for calls, voice messages, google assistant, etc.).
For recording video from the camera app the audio work fine, hence the camera mic works, but not the "normal/calling" one.
It doesn't work either in videocalls (zoom, whatsapp, meet, etc.) nor in normal calls even in loudspeaker mode.
I searched all over the internet and found that is a relatively common ¿hardware? issue in the Lenovo forums (i cant post the link because i am a new user in XDA)
Is there any way to manually force via software (app) or modifying some cfg file of android so the phone uses the camera mic as the default internal mic for calls and other apps?
Thanks in advance!
I flashed the latest lineage os 17.1. It is detecting the sim card but I am unable to place calls. When I try to make a call, it asks me to turn off the airplane mode but the airplane mode is not turned on. The network signal is also not displayed. It is not a sim problem since it worked before flashing. Please help me.

Just to confirm, what I should do now is download and extract this zip, navigate to the zip folder, and run the said commands. Am I right?

I tried this. Says "No service" near the signal indicator and "Turn off airplane mode" when I attempt to make a call. What do I do now?

There must be something else missing in the rom. Could be APN setting?
If there is a thread for the rom, try asking in that thread if anyone had a similar issue.
Meanwhile, you may want to reflash stock so it works.
