OEM disable make the locked by frp lock. You need to flash your device with the stock rom to get it back.

I'm running CyanogenMod 6.0.1 and was having no problems with it, when SuperSU needed to update, and couldn't. It advised flashing the update in recovery (I use TWRP) which it did. It then rebooted but was stuck on the CM boot screen for ages. I eventually powered off and tried again, it still didn't work, so I tried to boot into recovery. Recovery mode wouldn't work and an ordinary reboot then just constantly flashed up with the OnePlus power on screen. I can still get into fastboot, but as the OEM unlock is disabled for security reasons I can't reflash the recovery or anything. Has anyone got any ideas? As CM is still keeping the OEM unlock disabled, would it be just recovery and the boot sequence that are corrupted? :crying:
Restore to stock using one of the guides in the general section.
Also, search through the q&a section for the several threads with the same problem.
You need first to unlock bootloader with adb shell on windows and flash the latest twrp recovery . you use a Linux distribution ?

Hi,
I try to root the chinese version of Galaxy J3 2016 (J3109).
I've done all the step (enable debugging, download mode, putting the boot.img on the root).
After choosing the md5 root file in odin and clicking on Start, the phone start downloading file but after I have a chinese message.
=> After reboot, the phone is not rooted.
Do the chinese version need a special root method?
Thank you in advance.

No , I received the phone unlocked (= I can use any simCard). I juste googled now the CROM service apk but I couldn't understand its utility.
Also, something I found weird is when I allow usb debbugging in developer option: I can't find Oem Unlock..

I have now another error in the download mode:
"binary size is too large boot"
I've taken the j3 320fn root file but it doesn't seems to work for me. Is there a j3109 root files?
Otherwise, is there a valid Recovery for J3109 version?

You need to plug your phone into the computer in download mode after that and using Odin on a PC flash twrp.IMG.tar file for your specific device but make sure to turn off auto reboot in Odin.
Then once the file flashes successfully you need to pull out the battery, put it back in and reboot to recovery before doing anything else. If you reboot the os first then it will delete twrp and revert back to stock recovery so make sure to boot to recovery first

Installing a custom recovery is unlocking your bootloader. It means the same thing.
Here is the latest twrp in .tar format for your device (j5008) https://github.com/Galaxy-MSM8916/releases/releases/tag/TWRP-3.2.3-lineage-15.1_j8_20180921_j5ltechn

Are you sure that install a custom recovery will also unlock the bootloader? I don't think so! For me they are two different operation! Anyway my device is j510fn 2016 not j5008. Glad to start a conversation!

I've tried to unlock bootloader on my j510fn via fastboot but when ever I plug in device to the pc and running adb command, it stuk in downloading mode like when you make odin the platform to install recovery.tar and official firmware to newst. There is no adb commands either this is a Samsung device you vacant unlock your bootloader by adb commands.
To unlock the boot loader download Odin to your PC.

Put the phone into download mode and connect to PC
Click the AP tab in Odin and find your twrp.zip.tar file.
Disable auto reboot in Odin.
Flash the file.
Pull out the battery
Reboot to recovery before rebooting the os and BANG unlocked bootloader with twrp installed

Hello guys.
SORRY FOR MY ENGLISH.(i'm italian)
A mobile phone shopkeeper modified my IMEI & S/N. Now my phone don't boot because i setted the "OME UNLOCK" option to OFF. Now my phone have got FRP LOCK : ON, so i flashed original rom, but at the boot the recovery turns to me this message"dm-verity-verification-failed". When i flash a TWRP the download mode turns to me this message "CUSTOM BINARY (BOOT) BLOCKED BY FRP LOCK". At this point i flashed a COMBINATION F60 ROM (FACTORY BINARY ROM) to restore my IMEI. This rom boots but the IMEI remain unchanged. Unlike the download mode, this Factory Binary rom allows me to use ADB. How should I proceed to make my phone working? Thank you all, you are my only hope.

It seems they changed imei may be because it was blacklisted. Imei wont get corrected without a box repair. And that dm verity issue will occur when you root using modification on system partition and it wont go away even after a reflash. You should have used systemless root. But you can bypass dm verity by flashing no verity opt encrypt from this link
https://build.nethunter.com/android-tools/no-verity-opt-encrypt/
Flash it using twrp, and your phone should work on stock rooted rom with twrp recovery.

Yes if its frp lock, try flashing no verity zip latest version using AP tab of odin. If it fails too, then you need to install custom rom through odin, then install twrp recovery.

Odin don't recognizes the zip, so i have to flash it only writing his route. But the flashing don't start anyway.
You can't flash or boot custom binaries with FRP lock on.
You need to disable FRP lock by enabling OEM unlocking under developer options (You tap on build number 7 times in settings, about phone, software information).
More information about flashing dm-verity here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=70488012

You are pretty damn stuck, did you tried samsung smartswitch? You have dm verity error which wont let you boot stock rom and then you have oem unlock off which prevents from installing custom roms, so you are pretty badly stuck. Any advanced member with adb shell knowledge can help you now. But try smartswitch atleast.

Bro if it didn't work for you then i guess it wont, you should try using box, these adb commands don't work for every device, but here are the steps, give commands without commas ;
1. Make sure usb debugging is enabled in developer options.
2. Type 'ADB devices' to see if it displays your device.
3. Type 'ADB reboot bootloader'
4. Type 'ADB fastboot devices' and it should display your device in fastboot
5. Now type 'fastboot OEM unlock'
6. Again type 'fastboot OEM device-info' to check the status of oem unlock.
7. Last type 'fastboot reboot' to reboot phone to OS.
If these commands don't work for you, then i am sorry only a box can solve your issue. Good Luck.

i use a j5 Prime sm-G570Y on andriod Oreo
i can't find the proper root files to flash using Odin as most of them are either not for andriod Oreo or for the g570F, not Y
i've tried using Odin to root my phone before, but all that happend was that my phone got bricked so i'm not really willing to try and root again unless i know that the root file is specifically for my exact phone model and Android version
if someone has any info on root files for my phone it would be of gr8 help

You got stuck on waiting for devices because you didnt enable OEM unlocking and USB debugging from developer options in settings.
You need to go to settings - about device - click on the build number 7 times and you unlock developer options.

I enabled Usb debugging and OEM unlock before i tried it
so what i did was open up cmd,
type cd <place where SDK files are>
type adb devices
type adb reboot bootloader
at this point the phone enters download mode
then i type fastboot flash recovery twrp.img (i renamed the twrp file for my phone to twrp)
then the waiting for device thing appears
i tried rebooting and using fastboot oem unlock instead, but it still said waiting for device
Check if CFAutoRoot is available for your device... If not available you can create from there
