I acknowledge this is over 2 weeks old now, and I hate to revive a dead thread, but if @drsood (or anyone for that matter) is still having this issue, I found the answer HERE
But I'll also copy and paste the directions:
I FORGOT THE PASSCODE I SET TO MY SMARTWATCH AND AM LOCKED OUT. HOW DO I FIX THIS?
To regain access to your smartwatch, you will need to prompt a Factory Reset.
Follow these steps:
-Enter an invalid passcode 3 times in a row. Wait 15 seconds.
-Enter an invalid passcode again, another 3 times in a row. Wait 15 seconds.
-Enter an invalid passcode for the last time, another 3 times in a row. Wait 15 seconds.
-The watch will produce a pop-up card prompting a Factory Reset. Tap on the check mark, or Done, button.
-Once Factory Reset is complete, you will need to re-pair your smartwatch to your phone.
-Remove the device name from Bluetooth cache before pairing in app.

SIM PIN code question

Ok, I typed in the incorrect SIM PIN code 2 times (since I did not remember it) and I only have "1 attempt left".
Now, I managed to find my SIM PIN code and I got in.
But next time I reboot my phone, will it reset itself back to the default "3 attempts left"?
Or, will it be always "1 attempt left" even when rebooting or after powering ON the phone again?
Phone is a Samsung Galaxy S4 GTi9505.
Thx in advance!

Yes the pin now is reset to 3 attemts again do not worry.
Even if you do 3 times wrong code u can use the PUK code to reset the PIN code.
But in general, whenever I should reboot my phone, will it automatically reset to "3 Attempts Left" again?
Just to confirm.
Thx

No. Pin is reseting to 3 after u put the correct PIN and login to the phone. Not by just restarting your phone.

Ohhhh yeah yeah yeah....Sorry!!!!!!! My fault....
Thats what I meant, so lets say I had entered the incorrect PIN 2 times and then on the last attempt I enter the correct code then after rebooting the phone, it should reset back to "3 Attempts left"
Am I correct this time?
Sorry for the mis-understanding.
Yes.

Yes this is correct.
be careful.
when you have entered the wrong pin for 3 times, the phone want to get the puk(superpin).
and when you have entered for 10times the wrong puk, your simcard will be destroyed.
This happened to my daughter.

askes for password or pin whenever restart phone

hey guys whenever i restart the phone it asks for pin or the password i setup and than only it will start the phone, why
is this normal, how to fix this
That's normal.... You'll always have to provide password or pin for the first time after phone reboots. Unless you select none for your lockscreen unlock method
My phone in the beginning asked every time I restarted but now it doesn't ask for anything. Is something wrong?

There's two levels of lock. One is the lock before android starts and second one after boot is finished.
If your phone isn't asking for an unlock password/pin it's possible you may have disabled it. You can enable the lock before device starts by going through the same process as normal but checking Yes when it asks the question. See my attached image for how the screen looks. If you select No you can apply a regular after boot lock.

[Q] Forgot Security Pattern and Need Help!

Hi everyone,
I don't know if this is a Tab A question, a Samsung question, an Android question, or a Marshmallow question.
I have an older tablet (SM-P350 with stylus) that I haven't been using a lot and I have forgotten the unlock pattern I was using. I am able to log in using the backup PIN, which I do remember, but I have to make several failed attempts to draw the pattern before I am prompted to enter the PIN. I'd like to start using the tablet more, but I don't want to have to do this every time.
I went to the security settings to change my login, but under "Screen lock type," it prompts me for my pattern, and after a failed attempt, it tells me I have to wait 45 minutes to try again! I am not given the option of entering the PIN. So I can't change the pattern OR change the screen lock type without knowing the old pattern! Does anyone know how I can use the backup PIN to do this?
As a last resort, I decided to do a factory reset. When I tried to do so from the menu, it prompted me for the security pattern!
I've tried twice to use the power and volume down buttons to reset, but I don't seem to be able to get to the recovery menu.
Now I can't log in to shut down and try again, because it's telling me I have to wait an hour!
And finally, one additional complicating factory is this: the tablet has been rooted -- not by me, but by the previous owner.
What can I do?

Data recovery after brick?

My phone bricked itself out of nowhere. I bought it 2 years ago and since all I did weird is install NovaLauncher right when I got it and replace a broken screen with a new one after one year. Since then, it worked just fine until 4 weeks ago.
While watching TV I heard a buzz on the desk. It was my phone giving me the "Your device is corrupt and cannot be trusted" screen out of nowhere. After it powered off, I tried booting it back up. It gave me the same message, so I pressed power to continu. The phone then booted up normally. I tought: "that was weird". The phone worked like nothing happened until last monday. I was having issues with it and decided to reboot it since I didn't do it in a couple days. Then the message appeared but this time, it won't boot. It shows me the Essential logo, after a minute turns into the loading logo (the dots forming a circle) then reboots, giving me the same error message. It also says that it cannot boot and I should factory reset if this goes on.
Today I ordered a new phone but I want some of my data back from the Essential if possible before trying a factory reset. I have audio that I recorded using the Voice Recorder app and I really need those. Photos/video and music are already cloudbased so this doesn't matter, but the recordings are important.
Is there a way I can recover this data using recovery mode or something?
Thank you for your time.
Try booting while holding both the "power" and "volume down (or volume up)" buttons. Perhaps you can get to the bootloader and fastboot...

You could try reflashing firmware, just skip the erase user data step
