Looks like new battery is required. I suggest buy original one. I bought oem display from this guy http://www.ebay.de/itm/Original-LG-...284?pt=DE_Handy_PDA_Akkus&hash=item35d533c834 I believe battery will be also oem.
If anyone is in the mood for buying, today seems to be a good choice. My unit is 72 euros less today (only arrived yesterday)
