I have the s7 edge t mobile on stock firmware latest updates. I had it unlocked remotely on ebay to accept my straight talk att sim card. It works but randomly it will not make or receive calls. The signal bars are still there when this happens though sometimes they disappear with a x and it comes right back but still can't make calls right away. I did have to cut my sim card but I don't think that is the issue sense it is making calls and the issue is random. But the issue is also frequent.

does anyone have the issue with t-mobile of which that you do not receive calls? my cousin tells me that sometimes he calls and it just rings and rings, but i get nothing on my end. its a rare occurance, but i would hate to miss an important call
this happened on stock t-mobile rom, as well as any cyanogen rom that ive tried.
im also getting the double send text issue, where texts are setn twice, and sometimes when it says text not sent, it was sent anyway.
bump?
It's just T-Mobile's network. It sometimes happens to my phone and not just with the MyTouch, but with the Dash, V600 and moto krzr.
Nothing new
I had this happening all the time. My SIM was really old and once I swapped it out for a brand new one that problem (and some others, such as visual voicemail) cleared up.
However, even with the new SIM I'm still having random disconnection issues unless I turn off 3g completely.
i swapped my sim. same problem. i also thought it would fix the texting double send issue, but it didnt.
I have an AT&T Atrix that I got unlocked. The only problem I have with it is that everytime that I hang up a phone call, it loses signal for about 25 seconds then the signal bars come back on. Does anyone else have this problem? At first I thought it was the phone, but I tried my friends AT&T sim card and it worked fine. When I use it with T-Mobile, the internet connection is on EDGE, which is fine with me, since the web browsing is actually fast on it. But everytime after I hang up on a phone call, I lose the signal. I really like the phone, but stuck on what to do. I had hard resetted it already, and same thing, it still loses signal after hanging up.
I'm in Estonia. Phone is N4 16GB stock 4.2.2, no mods/no root.
Have an issue with gsm radio.
When phone is active, then i have signal, I am able to call out and receive calls, BTW, calls don't drop. When left untouched for approx 10minutes it is cut from carrier. It does show the coverage bars, but when called in, then states as out of coverage. When trying to place call it hangs in dialing display. When trying to end the stuck call, it hangs on ending call display. Have tried different SIMs from different carriers, the problem remains. Only cure so far is to reboot, then i get next 10 minutes of service. Have restored to factory settings couple of times, tried without applying Google account. No luck. F***!
What to do? Has anyone faced similar issue?
Rolled baseband M9615A-CEFWMAZM-2.0.1700.48 back to M9615A-CEFWMAZM-2.0.1700.27, got longer usage time, radio still freezes
I get weird data loss too with 48, never calls though. I too prefer 27 as a result and that just works for me.
With 27 however your autofocus wont work anymore (camera) but since I don't use it that much guess that's not a biggie (touch to focus still works however).
I've been using AICP for a while (Marshmallow), but haven't done an update in a while. By a while, I mean that I don't think I've flashed anything in weeks. Suddenly, I cannot make or receive calls today. Yesterday I made a number of calls just fine. I checked all the standard possible causes, dialer apps, default apps for phone, etc. After no success, I decided to flash back to stock.
Now I'm on stock 6.0. Same problem, cannot make calls. All I get is a screen which says "dialing" until it makes a tone sound and hangs up, never rings anyone. My phone never rings or responds when other people call. I do have full bars and service, and my APN is set up properly with AT&T in the USA. SMS and Data work fine, and so does WiFi. No other problems at all with the phone. I've had it for about a year and a half with no real hardware issues other than a loose charging port. No drops, no cracked screen or anything.
I'm wondering if anybody has a clue about what the problem with my phone is. I'm willing to generate and provide logs if there's a way to do that which could show the issue.
EDIT1: Derp, just tried the SIM in my girlfriend's phone. Seems to by my sim card. I'll go to AT&T tomorrow and report back here if the issue is fixed.
I recently bought a used, unlocked T-Mobile Galaxy S7 and almost immediately rooted it using this guide.
Having used it for a few days however, I've noticed that it's been having issues getting a signal and dropping calls (which doesn't seem to be an issue with T-Mobile which is my carrier and naturally the SIM I'm using, as my spouse has an unrooted T-Mobile Galaxy J7 with none of these issues) and its become quite irritating.
When I rooted the phone it seemingly changed into a Verizon phone or something, as the T-Mobile logo was replaced with a Verizon one, the phone was suddenly filled with Verizon-branded bloatware and I would get notifications from a 'setup wizard' telling me that I'm not using a Verizon SIM card.
I can still call, and receive calls but it's incredibly inconsistent and the Verizon stuff is making me think the root may be the issue as I've tried messing with the network mode (switching from 'Global' to 'LTE/GSM/UTMS', etc.) but it's still really wonky.
I'm not sure what exactly is going on, or if anybody else has had this problem so any help is greatly appreciated.
