TWRP: Unable to mount storage - OnePlus 5 Questions & Answers

Hi all,
I'm on the latest NoLimits ROM (10.7 OB10), and I use the blu_spark v8.73 TWRP.
Whenever I try to wipe/install something, TWRP says it was succesfull, but then I get an error beneath all lines of text, saying: "Unable to mount storage".
I can still install custom ROMs and wipe my data etc., but should I be worried about this? If so, how can I fix this?
Thanks in advance!
Robert

I've never run into this particular problem but you might want to update TWRP, BLU is up to 8.76 now, see if that helps. If you can still flash ROMS it's obviously mounting storage somehow.

[Q] unable to mount /system or /cache ||| no OS installed ||| sideload wont work

hey guys, im back with stupid questions...
I wanted to upgrade my Nexus 7 32gb UMTS to 4.3 and used the Nexus 7 Toolkit (by Mark Skippen).
I was on a custom Rom and wanted to get back to Stock, so i could just use the update process by Google.
Downloading and Installing the ROM (including wipe of user data) by the Toolkit seemed to work and didnt show any error messages.
As is tried to boot my device into Android I got stuck in the bootloader.
When I tried to start it, a small white message "Booting failed" appeared in the top left corner. Nothing else happend.
I did everything again, no changes.
Next step was to google for a few mins, then I tried to install a custom recovery via Toolkit (which worked) and install a zip-file Rom via sideload.
Connection was there, the files got pushed onto the device but then "An Error Occured" popped up and everything stopped.
Installing a zip via usb-otg seemed promising, but this got me errors like "unable to mount /system" and "unable to mount /cache"...
when I tried to reboot from TWRP or ClockwordMod Recovery (tried the earlier described things with both recovieres) I got a message saying
"there is no OS installed, are you sure you want to reboot?"
Please help me, I really dont know how to fix this and I will need my Nexus 7 in 2 days (thats why I tried to reinstall and polish everything )
thanks for your help, I really appreciate it
Edit: tl;dr
Stuck in fastboot, no OS is installed. sideload / installing ROM via ADB / installing ROM via usb-otg doenst work, most certainly because /system and /cache cant be mounted
so AFAIK the real problem is that I cant mount those partitions, otherwise I could install a ROM and get out of fastboot/recovery easily. (just mounting them in custom recoveries didnt work btw)

Well . what you can try for now is download the latest factory images and flash them manually via fastboot .. See how that turns out. You can install any ROM via fastboot .. No issues what so ever.
In the factory images there will be a bootloader IMG.. Flash that first and then flash the remaining images ( I suggest manually or via the .bat or .sh files ) and then see if you can boot up android. Mostly should be possible.
And did you try rebooting inspire of the message " no is installed " appearing on the screen ? Maybe it will boot a ROM ? I remember facing this message after just flashing a rom sometimes. So don't worry.
As long as you have access too fast boot everything can be fixed at least w.r.t software.

[Q] Nexus 4 no longer booting?

So, I was about to give my phone to someone else so I flashed the Xtrasmooth ROM, and after boot I went to recovery to wipe the Internal Storage. Well, after doing that, the ROM took a crap and the Nav Bar and Status bar just disappeared. So, I decided to reflash the ROM, but no dice, same issue. So, I decided to flash the stock Lollipop image from Google, which flashed all fine but didn't boot. It got to the boot animation screen and sat there for an hour. So, I went back and flashed TWRP and tried to flash a new ROM but nothing is working. I can't access any partitions because of SELinux. Everything says "unable to mount /data" or "unable to mount /cache" and I feel like it's because of SELinux. It also says "Full SELinux support is present." What can I do? I really want to get this phone up and running again.
Try flashing a fresh recovery from fastboot, going to the repair partition section and reformatting everything to ext4 then try reinstalling your ROM/Kernel/GApps combo!

Installing Xposed - Stuck at installing TWRP

Hello. I am trying to install TWRP on my S7 Edge, because I want the Xposed Framework. I have the Exynos version.
I am trying to follow this short guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=66277202&postcount=28
I am rooted, I have all the zip files, and I have TWRP Manager installed. However, when I go to try and install it, it says:
"Something is wrong
Flashing recovery was unsuccessful. Either you already have this recovery installed or another error has occurred. Would you like to attempt rebooting to recovery now?"
If I select OK, I get into the TWRP Recovery, but I am unable to mount /data so I can take a backup.
Is this because of Android 6, that the device is encrypted and it won't mount /data?
I have read places that I need to flash a new kernel and format my user data, but if I have to take it that far, I don't really want to do it.
Please let me know your thoughts on this.
Thanks!

TWRP error while flashing capps

Hello,
I flashed CM 13 NIGHTLY from 15.07.2016 and wanted to flash capps for CM13. I always seem to get an error in TWRP saying:
Updater process ended with ERROR=7
Error flashing zip '/sdcard/capps-13.0-20160707-signed.zip'
I tried flashing other TWRP versions but it didn't help.
Can anyone help me, please?
The TWRP log is here: http://pastebin.com/LDacBqkb
Thank you.
EDIT: Just for your information, I even tried full wipe and everything... still not working at all... Please help me.
Try mounting /system as read-write in twrp before flashing capps.

HELP!!! GT-I9300I(Samsung SIII Neo). Can't boot after trying to flash it to stock ROM

Hey, people.
I've looked for another threats on this, but seems like others really don't work, or I did something wrong.
So, I had Cyanogenmod for 6 months in this device but I wanted to reset it to stock rom. So I flashed it using Odin and, it was failing all the time for some authentication error. I flash stock recovery to if it would do any difference but no. I installed back TWRP and it was saying "E: Unable to mount '/data'" and '/ storage' too.
Now I cant even boot cyanogenmod because it never quits of "starting apps" after the boot loading.
Soooo... What should I do to resolve this?
Please any details? Did you try to reflash TWRP? Where did you find stock firmware?
You know i flash my device through odin a plenty of time and had no problem at all.
