I'm pretty new to rooting and I want to get it right. I'm looking to root my Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7-Inch
model number - SM-T230NYKAXAR. Maybe someone can post a link to a post where I can follow the directions. Thanks so much.

Hii Guys
I know, the US model is a google experience device, and i am guy who like to be updated, but unfortunately, i am not a super user on Root, image etc.... so how can a guy like me, get the newsest version, witout doing bricks on the xoom...?
Is there any simple easy guide, to make a canadian model to a US Google Experience Device...?
i havent playing with ADB or what they calls, but really wanna have 3.1 on the xoom... or do i just need to wait for a update from moto...?
is there any video, easy guide in the net.... i couldn't find video's
my model is:
MZ604
Android 3.0.1
Kernel: 2.6.36.3 [email protected]
Build number: H6.2-21.1300906654

Step #1 still has prerequisites and CWM while a great utility has been the #1 reason for people coming here posting bricked xooms.
What about flashing the device with US images from motodev? If it's the MZ604 can't you take the US image instead of the Canadian image and then follow the instructions on the motodeve website?
OP try looking here: http://developer.motorola.com/products/software/
You're still going to need prerequisite experience and tools such as the JDK and Android Developer Toolkit.
Sooo, i just need to fallow instruction on 1 and 2, then hope it will help..
i didn't get the one with the us image in post.. what u mean

Here are direct links to stock images that don't require Motodev login:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1049485
Look in this thread,
You will need the windows drivers for your device. You also need to get the JDK and android dev toolkit installed so you can run adb.
Come back when you're at that point and we can go further

OP, I went through this yesterday, follow post 7 in this thread.

DO NOT relock the bootloader. Eventhough it says to on the Moto site, don't do it or you will brick your Xoom.
Also language packs are included in the guide.

Please please please make sure you have a good understanding of what you are doing first.
I would recommend installing the JDK and Android Dev Tools and then make sure you can successfully run DDMS and see your Xoom in the debug monitor. Then you know for sure you are all set to start running adb and fastboot commands.
This is what I did: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=14237506&postcount=7

Hi Guys,
Sorry for being a noob, but I want to flash Prime 1.7 onto my TF. I was wondering if it will be compatible with my dock after I flash it? Also, how can I root the TF? I rooted my galaxy S2 using odin, but how do I do it for the TF. Please let me know.

any simpler methods that involves only a few steps?

Fist of all, what is your serial number? Don't do anything else until you tell me your s/n #.
post in the right section and read before you post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1044424
Also prime 1.7 is obsolete use 1.9 or revolver 3.2

Seriously, there are about a dozen threads on this, some stickied. Take five minutes and look around, or use the search. I've found that people here are very helpful, but no one wants to spoon feed you.

It also means good news. I will post you a step by step rooting guide.
1. Verify serial # starts with B80
2. If it does then enjoy stock rom and no root because there is no root for you

I like your style. Little harsh but super effective although not as bad as having "MEGA SOURCE LINK" and when you click it it takes you to google
OP, I'd check this out.

And yeah, no root until some devs get on it for half of the B70s and all B80s. (which is every new tablet being made)

Carrier: Rogers
Model: SGH-I337M
Android: 4.4.2
Baseband: I337MVLUFNI2
Kernel: 3.4.0-2767305
Build #: KOT49H.I337MVLUFNI2
Is there a different way I am supposed to go about rooting this phone? I've found a lot of information but none for this variant; it makes me worried to do things the conventional way since there doesn't seem to be much talk about NI2 specifically.
Can this be rooted the way it is, and if not, is there a different method I could use to root it without any negative effects?
I've done a lot of looking around, but I haven't found any clear answers which way would be the best way of going about this; being new at this I'm more than a bit worried I may brick my phone.
I can't post a link, but go to youtube and search this "How to Root Galaxy S5, S4, Note 3 on [NF+] Android 4.4.2 (TowelRoot)"
Follow exactly along with the video, foolproof and easy. Hope this helps.

No worries, glad it worked out for you. Cheers!!
So I'm no rooting expert but I'm certain that with directions in a read me text like this along with the so called answer to my prayers file that has Odin, root bat, and one image file and folder, won't address my fail on the Odin screen..... MY BOOTLOADER IS LOCKED LIKE I SAID...... I SEE NO FIX FOR IT NOR HAS ANYONE BEEN ABLE SEND ME SOMETHING THAT DOES ANYTHING.
Bruh as I said in your other post just follow these directions it's for all snapdragon devices and US carriers

It sent me here
idk why it sent you there seeing how i can see the thread right in front of me in that case just go to the Verizon section of the s7 edge and find the "ROOT Method For Nougat" it works on all carriers, and on your thread yes i know it says "Verizon" but the root is designed to work for all variant`s just follow the directions.
takes me to the right thread. Not sure why it's not working for you...
That link isn't working for me either.
