These lags refer to different camera API used by Google's camera.

Hi all, my Lenovo K920 Vibe Z2 with CM13 was working very fine but 2 days ago stopped work rear camera. I open stock camera but start with front camera only. There isn't the rotation camera to start the rear one. I try others app but same problem or doesn't start. In internal storage i have complete zip rom file (the same) so i can overwrite rom with non loss data but the same problem. There is apk stock file to re-install ? I have important sms data so i don't want to format it ... I already have cleared cache from twrp recovery. Rear flash doesn't work too ! In cyanogen rom widget disappear and if i installa new ak torch it works only with (display torch and not with rear hardware). Hardware is not broken beacause i had another dismount telephone and i attached a new camera hardware and it has the same problems. I don't find news kingsdom row rom's after cm-13.0-20160910-nightly.zip . If i'll try to upgrade to cm14 ? but i need a semi stable rom... this was working perfect !
I flashed various custom ROMs on my mi 9t at one pont I corrupted persist partition that lead to non working of WiFi but successfully flashed back the persist partition through twrp.
But now even after going back to stock ROM 10.3.11 global stable the video mode after enabling image stabilization option from settings(in view finder as well as final recorded video) lags too much
The videos are jittery and skips frames
Third party camera apps like gcam and opencamera doesn't lag a bit.
It's just with stock camera app
Is there any files like persist related to camera that must have been altered and mi flash doesn't flash.
Help would be highly appreciated .
Thank you
Hello i had the same issue like you. Now i am on miroom android 10 miui11 and no more lag on video recording while image stabilization is on. And battery life much better.
hey, I'm asking you two things for help .. :crying:
So, this started when I wanted to change the custom ROM, before I used ROM Miroom, then I switched to ROM Mi Globe, I have followed all the procedures ..
After I changed to the latest version of Miglobe ROM, suddenly the sensor on my 9T Mi completely died, the gyroscope, the Proximility sensor all didn't work.
And the second problem is that the stabilizer on my 9t mi camera is not as smooth as the default stock ROM, I see the difference, on the custom ROM, the stabilizer on my camera when I record, there is almost no stabilizer effect on the camera..
now I use the stock ROM mi 9t global version 11.0.4, and it does not affect the two problems above .. I feel tired because I have not found the answer
is there any solution ? thank you
Your persist partition got corrupted. Did you do a backup before installing the custom ROM?
no, I never backup persist. every time i replace a different rom i don't experience this problem.
well atleast you know that next time you will.
You can try this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=omjoGI3VpPM&t=169s
Basically do a backup of persistbck partition and flash it to persist partition. Altho it my not work. If you expirience some bad behaviour than flash the original (broken) persist back and you will be where you started. If this dont fix your issue than you will have to flash persist.img from fastboot rom. You will lose L1 DRM permanently after doing so.
Hello. This is the only place where I think I can find ann answer to this bug.
The issue: all OnePlus 8 Pro cameras work normally with every single app, except the stock camera app. I can take photos and make videocalls, use instagram, whatsapp, etc. All cameras are working fine. Even face unlock, But the stock camera app opens in a black screen, then 3 seconds later, closes (and you can find it on the recent apps drawer.
What I did so far to debug this:
- Wiped the cache
- Wiped the cache and data for the camera app and the camera service
- Did a clean install (factory reset) on OOS 11
- Did a clean install (factory reset) rolling back to OOS 10
- Upgraded to a beta version on OOS 11.
- Did a clean install of OOS 11 using MSM Tools
- Updated the camera app to a beta version
- Updated the camera service to a beta version
All this with stock software.
Absolutely nothing that I do makes the stock camera app to work. I can assume that this is not a hardware issue, since all the cameras work on any app except the stock camera app. But if it's a software issue, why even wiping with msm tools didn't fix it? I really can't find an answer to this.
Has anyone ever faced this bug? I'm almost selling my oneplus 8 pro as defective since we don't have official oneplus support in brazil.
Thanks in advance for any tips!
If you've used msm to go back to stock then it must be a low level driver that's not working..
Haven't got a clue how that could be fixed though, i would reach out to OnePlus.
If you don't fancy that, the only other thing you could maybe try is one of the custom ROMs that now has the OOS camera baked into their ROM.
It's a long shot but perhaps that may work and may invoke a change that's inherited by the OOS system..
Sorry it's an odd one.
