i dont understand very well your problem .. your screen is not working right some times? thats the problem?

Yes - only when phone is lying (horizontaly)
I've found other thing... When I plug charger to phone - there is no problem

I face it with tempered glass on... Remove your tempered glass and you will be fine

Yes I would suggest the same solution.. but it doesn't make any sense, the tempered glass might doesn't fit well, but why when you plug the charger the screen response perfectly, I don't get it.

i took off the glass - it's fine, but when i set up new tempered glass on screen - the problem came back...
Phone is charging - touch sensitivity is fine
Phone is not charging - touch sensitivity is poor (in upper part of screen)
As you noticed - when there is power / phone is charging - everything is fine... so it's probably not normal
====EDIT====
"BETTER" INFO - touch works perfectly - when usb-c cable is pluged in
i don't need to plugin cable to charger for better touch screen....
====EDIT2====
same thing when i plug headphones to minijack port - no issue with touch screen.

Is this Normal Screen Behaviour?

Hi,
Recently ive repaired a HTC Universal, put it back together as best as i could.
Now when i do touch the screen with a stylus, the screen has funny colours behind it. It kind of like when you touch/ prod your Computer LCD. It only happens when theres pressure on the screen so its not really a huge problem. The touch screen is definately there cause when i tap the screen it responds (e.g i tap start and the menu pops down).
If its normal then i can take it, but if its not im complaining to the ebay seller.
This doesent happen when i put any form of pressure on my HTC magician LCD, so im curious.
Let me know what happens with your universal
Cheers,
Whitemoo.
This is not normal behaviour of any touchscreen device!!
hmmm... well i just looked at the broken lcd screen, and even though the LCD itself is shattered, the touch screen is in perfect nick.
I put pressure on the touch screen and couldnt see any of the symptoms i saw on my current LCD
You guys recon i should swap the touch screen over? either way im complaining to the sellers, DODGY.
whitemoo.
from my knowledge, im pretty sure its normal. it happens sometimes on my 9000 so yeahh....

Touch screen issues after removing screen protector

So I removed the included screen protector since it had a deep scratch on it. I read on the forums that you don't need the protector and that it actually works better without it.
Well my experience has been the complete opposite. Ever since I removed the protector I'm ready to smash this bloody phone. It's next to impossible to use due to the humidity in my area or something. The SMALLEST amount of moisture on my finger tips or even in the air will cause the screen to go haywire and register touches all by itself. Apps will open by themselves...i can barely type anything as it keeps typing multiple characters on it's own or other silly stuff. If I wipe down the display it will work fine for the first little bit until it gets that tiny bit of moisture from my fingers on the screen again and it starts going haywire again. It's a hassle just to try and unlock the phone from the lock screen at times.
So is my phone defective or is just the suffering I must incur by living in a humid area. I can't use the phone like this so I guess I'll have to look at buying a new screen protector. But if this is not normal and is a fault in my hardware then i would like to return it and get a different phone. I didn't really have issues with the screen protector on.
Ive kept my screen protector on my phone, works fine until i have moisture or (rain drops) on the screen, then my phone doesnt respond and also misfunctions the position of where i touch on the screen not sure if this is normaly as its the rain drops on the screen..
Tested witht he iphone 4 in the rain and works brilliant, why doesnt the X10 do the same !! :/

As you may know, those screens are capacitive displays, that means they're activated by sending (very) small amounts of electricity and are kinda "looking for a conductive material" in order to register an input.
The conductive material can be your finger, or something like... a raindrop or your screen, so that's why it thinks you're pressing that part of the screen...
Now it's even more obvious without the screen protector since it's directly on the screen.
As for why the iphone doesn't have issues with that, it does, but the screen being multitouch it's not as bad...
thanks for the info.good to know.
I didn't like the thick screen protector as my thumb/finger seemed to drag and not slide smoothly. I took it off and replaced it with a slightly thinner protector. I'm much happier with the feel now.

@smok3yjk - probably best if you do as Angelahp - get another screen protector on there.

[Q] Why do i get black screen when calling or being called??

Why do i get black screen when calling or being called??
because of the sensors on the top left of your phone. They detect when your phone is close to something (i.e your ear) and turn off your screen, which is a good thing otherwise you (your ear) would be pressing lots of keys without wanting it.
the problem is I get a black screen and i cant get out of it even if the call ends unless if someone calls me back and I am using android 2.2 on my HD2 .
with wm6.5 there is no problem can you please help with that ??
thanks
have you got a case on the phone thats blocking the top left sensors on the phone???
Have you got a screen protector fitted,
Especially if its the genuine HTC HD2 screen protector (SP P300) with the 2 little holes around the sensors @ the top of phone
After suffering from the same fate just recently & thought initially it was a problem with the new Android ROM i was using,
I was surprised in my case that the screen protector was the culprit, removed screen protector, Absolutely fine now.
I have a screen protector but when I use win 5.6 there no problem with that, the problem start with android 2.2 I used many roms but nothing , I really love to use android its very frustrating
Make a test call by lifting screen protector in the area of the sensors OR by removing screen protector
I think it work for me,I will try it for few hours and post the results.
thank you very
Glad to hear I may of helped you,
Removing my screen protector solved my problem which was identical to yours, My phone has now been fine for several days.
Out of curiosity was you using the genuine HTC HD2 screen protector (SP P300)
I am now without a screen protector for now, But I like to protect the screen from scratches etc
I have recently purchased a Vikuiti DQC160 screen protector which does not have the 2 holes around the sensors
Once I receive it & fit it I will let you know if my phone suffers from the "BSOD" (black screen of death)
Maybe the Vikuiti DQC160 will be a better alternative screen protector for us HTC HD2 Android users.
thank you again for your help...
I did cut a littel piece of my screen protector where is the sensor located.and I think it work fine, sometimes it goes black but not like before I mean its better now.I searched about the protector that you bought but its expensive here in America,I will just stick with mine... by the way where did u found ur build??? it works fine for you ??
thank you

[Q] htc hd2 screen

well my htc hd2 is using android and using it a year by now and notice that the upper left of the screen is not working?is it the lcd or digitizer or just need to align it?i dropped this many times(up to 5 times i think)but no damage on the housing and it looks new,and it is annoying in some games cause it wont work and i notice a very little red dot on that part.....pls help
If you lost sensitivity and the screen does not respond to touch, then it's a digitizer, if picture is distorted or, as you describe, a red dot appeared where it shouldn't be - LCD, sounds like both in your case. I am not quite sure how it doesn't work in games or whether the problem is present in normal screens. Alignment is a procedure to tune and correct mistakes in touch recognition or to make touch more precise on resistive screens.
I suggest replacement of your LCD + DIGITIZER. Dropping it many times may have caused it too, even if housing looks perfect.

Screen protector + charging = broke?

I bought a tempered glass screen protector (one of the really thick ones). The touch screen responsiveness works fine on my G2 with the screen protector, however, when the phone is charging (on any charger), the touch screen doesn't work right....Some areas I have to press down hard and other are super sensitive. and some don't work at all...Once I unplug the charger, everything works fine......and I have tested this without the screen protector and phone works fine with or without charger. I have no idea how a screen protector can break my phone only while charging. It makes no sense...
to simplify one last time, my phone works fine, with screen protector, it works fine.....and with screen protector AND charging.....brakes
Quite normal, kernel dependent, on my devices last dorimanx minimize the problem, but remains.
