Need Help installing twrp

I have been following this guide

My problem comes right at the last step. I have the vs980 verizon phone.

I have taken a picture of my command prompt to help. Can someone please help me out I'm stuck.

if you are on the latest,after ota, then im pretty sure you cant install twrp. the aboot is matched up to the stock firmware im guessing cause ive tried numerous times to install recovery after ota and no success but returning to stock then doing it is no problem at all.

just use CWM I patched this img the other day and im running it on 12b
extract and flash with loki

I ran into the same problem and after ~2 hours of trying to find a solution this fixed it for me.

I apologize...I am pretty much a noob here and I don't know what this means. Can someone please educate me?

Build Number problem + Rooting

Hey
Iv'e got a problem rooting my phone, already tried towelroot saying my phone isnt yet supported yet and ioroot neither worked..
Iv'e checked my build number and its weird, it doesn't match with any 3 ending characters of any version (D850 - 10D, D855- 10A\B\C and so).
I'll add a picture hope you guys can help me out, Thanks.

SEA is a location I think. Where are you located and where did you get the phone?

We both have the same version. I believe that is the asian version of g3 (im also thinking it is the Singaporean version because of the SEA suffix, but i might be wrong)
Purpledrake root method worked for me, so you might want to give a shot. Check this http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/development/root-root-lg-g3-easily-purpledrake-lite-t2821000

When i try using purpledrake on windows this comes up..

did you follow the steps correctly? Like changing your usb in adb/ptp mode? Did you also try manual method?

Managed to solve the problem and rooted my phone successfully, thanks!

It's for a5ul 4G LTE in only Thailand. It's might not works with others model.

I got OTA in Europe too.

Just installed it, nothing changed much actually visualy except notification bar. The most annoying think is when u use a card view for recent apps, there is no clear all apps option, or i didnt see it maybe

any one for Indian version (a5dwg) got update ?

Sense 7 would be nice

You can delete files , on the memory card from file manager

เห็นเขาบอกว่าอัพจาก1.54.707.2มา1.60.707.3ได้ แต่อัพไปlpไม่ได้ ขึ้นตกใจในrecovery ผมจะลองได้ก็ต่อเมื่อมีเนตเร็วให้ใช้

I think it's a same model as Thai single sim

For model "a5ul" Thailand user, you must use "Sunshine 3" to back to "S-Off" "UNLOCKED" "FULL UNROOT" "Stock Recovery".
I'm not developer for this device. I think it's can't root and install any custom recovery now (same as bug in specific recovery for AOSP Base, CM12 ROM)
You shouldn't flash boot.img cus to BRICK device.

Same issue I can't update to Lolipop

[Q] Edit or something to keep phone on LTE/GSM?

Is there an edit in build.prop or some other way to keep the phone from switching back to global after a reboot? I seem to notice that radio switching is horribly slow when on global, but if I use the dial code to go into phone settings and change to LTE/GSM (auto prl), I don't get the lag in switching. Thanks for any help.

Could you be more specific, please? So after a reboot your settings stick? That is the question here.

Yes they stick. Perhaps your carrier wants them set a certain way.

Are you rebooting often? Perhaps tasker can set it for you on boot.

I don't reboot often, but when I do, I forget to change it in the hidden menu you are mentioning. *#*#4636#*#*

Oreo (not beta) for AT&T Note 8

Any Brave soul to try... Update to OREO did not updating bootloader so is safe and you can downgrade back to Nougat
