Any way to stop this? I'm using USB tethering to play a game, and then randomly the wifi will turn itself on and I'll get disconnected.
Maybe You have WiFi sharing on in Hot-Spot settings.

I've been able to connect to the phone via wifi hotspot and USB tethering, but I'm not able to get an online connection.. always says "No Internet connection" in Windows.
I have an eligible data plan with tethering enabled, and it seems to connect to the phone just fine (Windows 7).
Has anyone run into issues? I don't currently have PC Companion installed, but I'm unsure if it's necessary to tether (especially with wifi spot).
Edit: Solved. After some searching, the only thing to fix this issue is to enable tethering on the phone, then disconnect from the network (airplane mode), then reconnect. Now tethering works.
I can do it on my one m7
Go to Settings > More under Wireless and Networks >Tethering & Portable Hotspot. From there, you can enable the WiFi hotspot if your computer supports WiFi, or plug it in with the USB cable and turn on USB tethering if it's a desktop. It should just work. You can get the wifi settings under Set up Wifi Hotspot. You have to have a tethering plan to use this. There are a few options on the market that can get around that restriction.
If you connect to a wifi network with a web portal such as Attwifi at mcdonalds it will auto disconnect you and there is no setting to turn it off..
does this happen to anyone else?
Wifi/menu/advanced/auto network switch... turn it off
That feature will knock you off any wifi that is showing slow speeds and kick you back out to 4G
Is there a way to keep out tablet connected to phone via bluetooth for internet, but when there are available wifi networks it connects fine, while simultaneously keeping BL Bluetooth connection incase the WiFi disconnected without having the hassle to reconnect manually everytime?
Bluetooth tethering is way more efficient battery consumption wise, but when using public transport their WiFi network is much faster, however Bluetooth tethering stops when you connect to it,so is there a way to keep both connections on, or perhaps an automation to reconnect Bluetooth tether?
Thanks in advance
