Hello friends:
I have an LG G6 that works perfectly, but I have a problem with calls.
When I make a call, I'm heard very low. I tested with two phones together, with a sound meter, one takes out 20dB more than the LG G&.
I already changed the microphone with its full flex, but the problem persists, I guess it will be something of the motherboard or software. I try to cancel noise options too.
I have seen on this phorum that modifying a file of an LG G5 could increase the minimum level of the microphone, thereby gaining sound intensity:

In the LG G6, what file would it be? Is it possible to do so?
Thanks for your help.

Hey guys, I'm having a problem with KitKat (4.4.2). As it turns out, my mic on my earphones stop working or is in extremely low volume. This hasn't happened before on Android 4.3, anyone have a solution? I have a friend who just received her Moto G running KitKat and has the same problem too. Nexus 5 also suffers from this problem, with a video to prove it. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qSDI4u2Yq7g) Time: 32:10 There is a solution in which you have to hold down the button on your earphones while plugging it in, but as I asked, is there a different solution to this? Like a software patch? Thanks.
LG G Flex KitKat killed call quality
Major problem, my LG Flex is useless as a phone now after KitKat.... I can hear callers clearly but they can't hear me at all.... I Sound like echo/reverb box to them. The problem is so bad that I can't use the LG Flex now and had to switch back to Moto X. Hope someone finds a fix soon. Thanks
I used to use acr to record calls on the lg g4. It worked fine in all ways.
On the g6 h870ds hardware rev 1 it doesn't work.
The other party always sounds soft and distant. It's also very noisy. I've tried turning voice clarity and noise suppression on and off, it's the same both ways.
*I find calls very noisy. No matter what there is static
*If I use a headset – whether wired or bluetooth, the other side is very soft, almost inaudible
*If I use speakerphone, my side is very soft, almost inaudible
*If I use nothing, it seems OK. But I need a headset because I need to take notes etc on long calls.
*I tried audio source = auto, mic, it seems the same
Is this a problem with the g6 or the software? Is there software that works with g6?
I am using ACR as well and it seems fine... I tried other apps before but they didn't turn out good... I would suggest you try another app and see?
Hello everyone.
I'm having some problems with my LG G2. My in-call microphone doesn't seem to work at all when I'm calling someone, unless I blow straight in it. I tried testing it with some app I found on Google Play (Test Your Android) and it turns out that the microphone level is okay, but it's very noisy, so it looks like some noise filters filter out the signal as well. I tried replacing the entire ribbon on which the mic is placed (had some different problems regarding it), but it did not help. I tried changing the radio (I even found one dedicated ecpecially to my region and service provider), but it didn't help either. I tried it on stock 30d and on LineageOS 14.1. Any ideas, anyone?
Looks like it was the faulty microphone on the new ribbon cable. I tried on another and it was OK. Gonna ask for replacement where I bought it.

Hello everyone, I just got a used LG G6 today. Everything seemed to work fine except a little lag and heating issues until I tried out calling. I noticed that whenever I make a call, the front receiver microphone doesn't work most of the time. Sometimes it does but I either hear static, really low volume, or it just stops working. I have to put the phone on speaker to be able to hear correctly. Does anyone know how to troubleshoot this? I already tried turning off voice suppression and noise clarity. Thanks in advance.
Try this. Adjust the volume in-call to make it louder. See if it makes a difference.
Hi all,
I'm writing here in the hope of getting some better understanding of how microphones works, and maybe some hints on how to fix the problem I'm currently banging my head on.
I'm porting the Xiami Redmi Note 7 Pro to Ubuntu Touch, and I'm facing an issue with the audio recorder from the microphone: the top microphone works perfectly, whereas the lower one (the one used for phone calls) records a lot of background noise, in addition to the voice. I've spend several days trying to debug the issue, trying different stuff both with the kernel and with the mixer_paths.xml configuration, but every time when I thought I fixed the problem, after some reboots the issue was back.
I believe that the noise that the microphone is picking up is coming from the internal device circuitry: the noise changes depending on whether the screen is on or off, and it also changes when, for example, I'm scrolling a page. I think I do not hear this sounds when the device is running LineageOS, but I didn't try it extensively, so I might be wrong.
So, my questions are these:
if these sounds are indeed coming from the circuitry, how is the microphone supposed to deal with them? Is this what the noise cancellation is meant for?
Is there a generic way to enable/configure it?
And why is the upper microphone not capturing these sounds?
Can you recommend me some documentation to learn more about this issue (especially how it's dealt with in Linux or Android)?
Any help will be appreciated For complete reference, I believe that the audio SoC on the Snapdragon 675 is made up with the TI TAS2563 and with the Qualcomm Aqstic wcd937x.
