Sorry for my english.

Your model is really new and it is not a FYT or microntek based SOM. And as far as I know there is no Custom ROM for it (yet) and neither a rooting method (yet).
If you purchased it from Joying you should have papers and a box which mention something like "SKU:JY-UO135N4PX5", "JY-UOS03P4", "JY-UM128N4PX5" or "JY-UOS03N4PX5". Those are the 4 4GB 7" models Joying currently sells.

yeah. Well like mentioned in post #2: no Custom ROM for it (yet) and neither a rooting method (yet).

It was very hard to release a custom rom even for a model with wide support like 2GB, I can't imagine other models...
By the way... what happen with the custom rom you were developing in forum.carjoying.com based on AOSP?

That wasn't me. That was lbdroid together with gtxaspec, who is the "partition guru".
Seeing the current 6.0.1 ROM for the PX5 2GB units, they are also FYT based and are, on first sight, identically built as the firmwares for the Sofia 3GR units. They are both FYT based, contain the same config files, internal zip and Allapp.pkg files. Etcetera. It should be possible to build a custom rom along the same lines as those for the Sofia 3GR. And I assume it will just continue the same when the Android 8.0 ROMs will be released.
The Joying 4GB QD units are completely different but those are Rockchip based firmwares. There is a wealth of tools for those kind of ROM firmwares (I already completely unpacked the 8.0 ROM, but these are also signed), but someone with a PX5 4GB should be the first to explore this.

Pumpkin 12-C0252-US-A

Hi guys,
I just installed a Pumpkin 12-C0252-US-A, and need some help figuring out upgrading the firmware. The about screen gives me the following info:
Build # Alex5701_V1.19
TFT: 5701-2015928-154740-V01
MCU: 5701-20150930-083502-V01
Which leads me to believe this is an AL-5701 / AL-C0241, which has a page on the Wiki, along with a link to the MCU and firmware files. I'd like to put Malaysk's firmware on, so my question is, will the MCU file for the AL-5701 / AL-C0241 from the wiki, and Malaysk's RK3188 1024X600 firmware from 18 October, 2015 work together properly? Malaysk's firmware post has a link to a MCU post, but all the MCUs there have letters for versions, rather than numbers (like 5701), so I'm worried that the two files won't be compatible.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
The Malaysk's firmware do not suitable for the item you bought, if any problem with the radio system, you may contact the seller to get the firmware for your unit. I asssume the seller should be Pumpkin, right?

Hi There
I've heard about that, their radio app have issue with the system date. If you swtich to year 2015, then it will work without problem. But right now, they already released new radio app, you may can download from the following link and install to replace the old app by ESbrowser. Check attached photo!

Help identifying and updating Marubox M706T3 (Android 7.1.1)

I bought a Marubox M706T3 from Ali. The specs say it comes with an Allwinner A23 quad core CPU. I want to upgrade Android to 7.1.2, but there doesn't seem to be a ROM for the A23 However, the information I get from CPU-Z is not conclusive:

^^ Here it identies as A23...
^^ but the model is T3...
^^ and so is the build.
Last but not least, the model number of the head unit is M706T3.
@****-jones mentioned a Russian forum (4pda.ru) in another thread, and after some digging around I found a post mentioning the A23 and T3 ( 4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=806442&st=7900#entry72921019 ), but the conclusion gets lost in translation.
What are your thoughts: should a T3-rom work?
Anyone?
It says:
Allwinner A23 - dual core processor, the Chinese guys probably made a mistake in the description.
T3 = CorteX A7
The marubox description is correct in the beginning, but then something apparently went wrong.
This is also in the OP:
Attention! Those who had Android 6 out of the box are strongly NOT recommended to move to android 7, after flashing MCU of android 7 there will be no way back, you will keep with MCU of 7 forever, if you go back to 6, you will not be able to flash MCU for the version from 6. On android 7, old mother boards can behave unpredictably, in most cases the internal microphone stops working and bluetooth volume will reset when rebooting.

As I understand, older model head units get upgraded CPU's sometimes. Some advertisements say "units purchased after date X come with CPU Y". Maybe this is the case here too, since I found this on the inside of the head unit...
Maybe they upgraded the CPU/RAM-module to run Android 7? Would it be able to run the ROM mentioned at 4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=837879 ?

So I couldn't find a 7.1.2 ROM on 4PDA, but many people contacted the sellers they got their devices from and they sent them ROMS, so you should try that.

Can someone more experienced please look at these screenshots to corroborate the ID of this RKPX6 head unit?

Okay, so there are some blanks I need to be filled in on. I've already rooted the unit and have done a good bit of forum reading, but I'm still unclear of a few things. I believe what I have is a `Klyde 1280` (it wasn't sold under this name though) and is the newer hardware version.
So I've been trying to find a thread or threads that really breaks down what MTCB, MTCD, MTCE, etc mean exactly. I *think* what I have is considered `MTCD`, but I'm not entirely sure and I don't feel comfortable moving ahead without understanding this a bit better. I've done a lot with mobile phones, but this is my first head unit.
When people are talking about `updating MCU`, what exactly do they mean? The firmware for the car-radio aspect of the head unit?
My goal is to update everything that can be updated, maintain root (as I already have it), install TWRP, and maybe try out some custom ROMs. The problem is I'm not exactly sure what ROMs I should even be looking at. Hopefully some that have better/different "CarPlay" UIs, but maybe even some that don't have that and are just "pure Android". I really need to be sure of the identification of the unit because as of right now half of what I read I'm not even sure if it's applicable.
I really appreciate any response. Ive had this head unit for a while now and haven't installed it yet for this reason.
OH! Also, is installing another button something that many people do? Maybe there is another way to boot into Recovery that I'm unaware of? I'd like to be able to boot to Bootloader and Recovery. I found a thread where a guy talks about this and I'm fairly confident that I can install it based on that, but I wanted to ask if maybe there were other resources concerning this as well.
Thank you!!

Hi, the unit isnt an MTCx - your MCU version does not start with MTC, e.g. MTCD, MTCE, MTCP, MTCH.
MCU is the Hardware microcontroller that controls the head unit.

Please help mi identify hardware - Uckazy 8259l HU (Alps 825x_pro) for bmw e70

Hi,
I am so confused, and would really appreciate help. I read numerous threads and comments, but not able to understand the unit i have.
I bought on aliexpress Uckazy 8259l model for bmw e70, which seems to be Alps 825x_pro according to CPUZ.
Unit so far is working ok, expect for really bad internet speed (mobile hotspot even tho i have fast internet on my phone), audio buzzing on AUX and random reboots when multiple apps are running (not frequent).
I used CPUZ (that always crashes after 10 seconds) and Inware to get these specs:
Brand: Alps
Product: full_825x_Pro
Model: 825x_pro
Resolution: 1920*720 (aliexpress specs states 1280*480)
Size: 12.82" (aliexpress specs states 10.25")
Hardware: AC8257V/WAB ( i was hoping it is 8259 as model name suggests)
Ram: 6gb, ROM: 128gb
Android 11, API 30
Needles to say, aliexpress seller support equals zero. No communication except sending user manual.

I am hoping someone can help me figure out the following:
is this Mediatek, Snapdragon, PX, somethinge else?
Is Alps known Chinese manufacturer that others just rebrand? Is this unit same as JunSun V1? - hoping to understand this, so i can focus on existing threads on XDA
Is the firmware the latest - not sure how to check and which can i use in case upgrade is needed (e.g. can i use JunSun firmware)
CPUZ says it is API 30, did developers do something to fake it or i can be sure i have android 11 unit?
Should i trust screen resolution that CPUZ and Inware are displaying or could this be incorrect info?
I aim to change launcher, and add custom boot animation/logo, but want to understand specs first
Thank you in advance for your help!
.
Does anyone can help us ? Thanks for advice

Android 10 and up AC8257 mcu stm32 vertical screen firmware need

Hi all
ive been reading and looking for a while a firmware based on this unit but ive been unsuccessful. Ive found various firmwares out there, but all are for landscape units.
If someone has or know where i can find a firmware for this unit, please let me know. i tried pda, and various threads(xy, px6, etc) in this forum and found nothing worked cause even though those firmware are base on ac8257, the MCU is different. Some has the correct cpu and mcu but are for horizontal or landscape unit.
i tried to modify the screen orientation via adb and ro.sf.hwrotation, but it doesn't work on latest android . There is another methode editing and xml file, but it looks too complicated for me .
The unit is 4-64gb 768x1024 resolution.
HARDWARE info b200 core 8
Thanks in advance
