You have installed a custom rom and you want to go back to stock rom. Okay
Find your stock rom here (re-check your version of s5)
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-G900F/
Install twrp for s5 via app (if rooted) or via odin.
google it for links.

You stuck at bootloader bootloop? Well, you need to update your bootloader. That will fix it.
There might be an update for marshmallow for Italian s5. Wait for some time.

The official marshmallow isn't out yet for your s5 version.
Lets hope that you get an update soon.

You don't need to flash it via odin. You can do it through OTA (on the air.) You will get a notification when you have the update available.

If you want official marshmallow touch wiz, then you need to flash stock rom and then update it to marshmallow through OTA. That is what I meant.

So I found this on the XDA home page. It says SM-935A is required (I have SM-935U) BUT I thought that model number mostly applies to which carrier you're using...So if I flash the lates AT&T version via Odin can I then update to this Oreo build? Here's the article:

Thanks. I might hold off till there's a more stable build. If I didn't need to wipe everything I might give it a try.
But in case I change my mind, you extract the update.zip and apply update from sdcard, right?

Sent from my SM-N950U using XDA Premium HD app
So I currently have it installed. The only issue I'm having so far is that the light on my heart beat sensor is lighting up whenever anything gets extremely close to it.

Hey, hope all is well.. all these firmware updates have a carrier. Was wondering whether that flashing them would affect the phone. Please let me know where it's ok to flash one of these. Thanks.

what is the VERY latest stock rom???
is there a changelog for firmware PDA N910FXXU1DRI2?
what are the differences with previous version "N910FXXU1DQL2"?
Who can tell me where I can download the latest factory ROM? I can only install with TWRP.
I have an Sprint Samsung S8. I want to update to Android Pie 9. Its currently on Android 8.0.0 - R16NW.G950USQU5CSA4. And I want to flash with Odin to any compatible Android Pie FW. I am personally not looking to unlock or anything. The confusing part is that when I research the FW version (G950USQU5CSA4) it comes as a Verizon FW. So I am not sure if is safe to flash any of the Pie FW available on sammobile for Sprint.
It is safe to flash for example to one like G950USQU5DSD3 that appears in Sammobile and is for Sprint?

Awesome, thank you!
For any newbie like me who ever had a look at this thread. This definitely work as said by @kpwnApps, I downloaded SM-G950U, build G950USQU5DSD3 (3.92GB) from Sammobile and flashed with Odin. Flashed AP, BL, CP, CSC (not CSC_HOME) on its respective place on Odin. 5m 32s later it was updated with no trouble.

Last question, I am personally not interested. Just curious. As long as is the same android version, would it be possible to downgrade too by flashing with Odin and earlier version? or would something like that cause a brick?
