My daughter has been playing cut the rope without internet connection. But this week she started the game and says "internet connection needed".
this the paid app from amazon marketplace and not rooted, any solutions?
I've gotten this message with some apps myself even though I've had them open previously without a wifi connection. Opening them with the wifi connected fixes it for the time being and I'm able to play without internet again.

Might be similar to xbox live games requiring Internet connection to play them on the 360 Probably their way of preventing piracy. Just a thought.

Might be an in app update or additional content needed thats online. Usually if you update or run it with WiFi itll be good till the next update.
I'm having problems connecting to the corperate wifi with my Nexus 10, I've used an android tablet berfore on it, TF101 connected without any problems, I've seen issues reported with the Nexus 7 and Wifi, has anyone else had and issues connecting to WPA/EAP with Certifcate authentication.
The device is crrectly registered as it can connect to another SSID which uses the same mac database
Working fine for me, however I have been disconnected twice in the last 2 days,

Bump.
Any fix to this issue? We use WPA/EAS and I get "not in range". Some people got it to work and some didnt. there's an open bug being tracked on Google (Issue 34212) but no workable solution on the N10.
Having problems with optimium wifi. I have to sign in everytime, while on my phone/laptop its not needed.
I downloaded the wifi register app from optimium, but it can't sign in with that. Any solution?

My connection stays strong (max bars) when for example playing a youtube video, but after while the video endlessly buffers (or freezes) until, either I jump in and out of multitasking screen or restart the WiFi connection. It's as if it can't reinitialize the stream for some reason. I have the same problem downloading apps and other media, i.e. good signal, stable connection, but just seems to time out continuously. It's driving me mental, without reliable WiFi the device is next to useless. I'm hoping it's a software issue that will be addressed soon, but if not I suppose it's RMA time.

I had the same issue with YouTube last night. It took me a while to get the connection back at one point. I rebooted the device and the router and I eventually got my connection back. I would tend to think it is a combination of Android and the router that will eventually be worked out with an Android software update.
Hi guys,
So I just got the nexus player for Christmas. After struggling through wifi connectivity issues, I finally managed to get the NP up and running. However not perfectly. Far from it.
I've trialled using the player on two different wifi connections:
1. My home wifi network running on a tp link dual band 1900AC modem router
2. My wireless access point set up on my phone
I've had the best results on my phone's AP, where pretty much everything works, until the connection drops after 1/2 an hour or so. My home wifi network is much less successful.
When connected to my home wifi network, I have the following issues:
1. The Google play store never shows any apps. It's just a blank page.
2. The play music app shows results, and music appears to initiate, but music doesn't actually play. The progress bar doesn't move.
3. The YouTube app won't yield results for any searches. YouTube clips from the home screen play just fine though.
Is anyone able to shed some light on this for me? I'm baffled. I can't fathom any plausible explanation for these issues. The problem is clearly related to my modem router, as I don't have these issues with my phone's AP. But why would some functions work fine (YouTube videos playing from home screen) and others not work at all (YouTube app yielding no results). All this while it all works fine on my phone's AP??
Please, your assistance would be valued greatly.
Oh and merry Christmas all!
I wish I had a solution for you, but I don't. I too have had issues with the Nexus Player dropping its connection, and with the blank tiles related to a lost connection. I love the NP when it works, but it's really buggy.
Actually, here's something to try. Do you normally have your phone's AP always running? I have two wireless networks in my home, and I found that when my NP "remembered" the settings for both of them, I'd get regular disconnects. I have the NP set to only remember/use one network, and I've been getting less dropouts.

Thanks so much for the reply! Turned out it was an issue with my ISP! Frustrating to learn it wasn't an issue at my end at all, but at least it's fixed now. ☺

No problem! Glad everything is working for you.
I am new to MOJO. I just rooted using the method suggested on the mad catz site. I am playing gameloft games like Modern Combat 5.
My issue is that my WIFI connection is awful and drops in and out. I have the mojo hard wired with ethernet, but modern combat 5 keeps saying i need to be on wifi to play multiplayer. I change to mojo to wifi, and turn off ethernet but the connection is too unstable to continue. Is there a way i can make the mojo think its on wifi but just use my hardwire connection?
It seems alot of the gameloft games require a wifi connection at some point. I understand it wants a more stable connection than 3g/4g but i wish there was a work around for hardwired devices.
I have tried the xposed installer with fake wifi connection but that did not solve my problem.
Any other suggestions?

Really, I got it working, i'm on firmware v 202
We recently signed up for TWC cable at home and have purchased our own Netgear C6300 modem/router. Since then, I have had a very noticeable delay in certain apps. For Google Play store, there is always an exact 15 second delay from the time I press install to when the app actually starts downloading. For YouTube, the thumbnails take about 10-15 seconds to load. For Netflix, the app takes about 10-15 seconds just to connect to my account and display thumbnails. These are the only apps affected, which seems strange. This only happens when connected to the wifi network at home from my Note 3. We have the 200Mbs internet plan and I can confirm we are getting 235Mbs when hardwired to the router and I'm getting 230Mbs on my Note 3 through wifi at the same time I am seeing this delay. So I don't see the internet speed being the problem. If I disconnect from the wifi and run on Verizon 4G LTE, there is no delay at all. When using a different wifi network with my Note 3 in different locations (work, friends house, etc) there is no delay. When using my ASUS tablet and my home wifi network, there is no delay within any of these apps. This only happens with the new Netgear C6300 modem/router and my Note 3. The other strange thing is that once this delay has passed, I have no issue with download speeds or any buffering during playback. It all just seems to be that initial connection. I even went as far as doing a hard reset on my Note 3 no see if that solved the issue, but nope. I am currently running Android 5.0 and the Netgear 6300 is running firmware V2.01.19. Has anyone else experienced this? Have any ideas as far as solutions? Help is much appreciated.
