I just flashed a new modem and a wifi fix someone offered with their rom for my galaxy i9505 using odin.
I then flashed the rom with no problems but when i try to call someone my phone just freezes and it crashes also when i try to listen to music the same thing the phone will just crash and no apps are making any sound its like i have muted it.
Ive tried downloading the official firmware and installing that using odin but it still hasn't fixed my problem does anyone know what it could be ?

You must have not odin flashed the correct firmware.
What I would do is to Odin flash the official stock I9505XXUAMDM firmware
which you can find here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2252982
The above link has easy to follow step by step instructions and the download link for the SamMobile
official Odin flash stock firmware as well as the windows Odin software if you need it.
After flashing the stock odin flash firmware the phone will need to be re-rooted.
Doing all of the above should fix the issues you are having with your phone.
Before you odin flash I would recommend that you do a "Factory data reset" by
going into settings>accounts>backup and reset> then click on "Factory data reset".
I would also suggest to create a nandroid backup unless you already have one.
Good luck!

Hey thanks for the quick reply but i have already tried that i flash the official firmware for my carrier but it didn't help with the problem
Hi,
I encountered error during flashing of XXUGNG4 official firmware using odin 3.09. It did not completed successfully. I have tried to change usb port but still got the same error. I managed to flash the custom recovery and restore my previous rom backup but got a warning 'kernel is not seandroid enforcing' and when my phone boot my camera and sound (volume, etc) is not working.
Question: Can I flashed XXUGNG4 official firmware even if my custom rom is XXUGNG8? I really need to go back to stock official firmware in order to fix the problems I encountering on camera and sound
Really need your help...
Thanks

Hi,
You cannot flash an older version of your firmware without encountering problems.
You need to flash XXUGNG8 or later.
Look here:

Don't forget to wipe data and cache before and after flashing the firmware

Hi,
I tried to downgrade my Note 3 with CSC VIA to Kitkat VIA. Downloaded and flashed firmware from Sammobile. Didn't work. failed in ODIN though it finished.
I tried it again and now i can flash Kitkat with ODIN "passed" but I'm stuck in bootloop. Full wipe and cache clean in recovery won't work. Tried it a last time with Kitkat DBT version (debranded) and added a PIT file by Darklord for 1DBT. ODIN says passed but the bootloop still is there. Download mode is still available so i see some real chance to get it done.
Is it possilbe to debrand to DBT that easily or shall I stay on VIA? I never tried the PIT file for DBT with VIA firmware. Anyone has a clue what I might try to get it working again? Ah btw. Recovery and Download seems to be perfectly fine and Knox isn't triggered.
Your input is highly appreciated, thanks in advance!

Try this:
1. Full wipe first (system, data, cache and dalvik)
2. Flash the VIA Kit Kat firmware via ODIN unticking "Autoreboot".
3. Take out the battery and pull in it again when the flashing process finish.
4. Boot in Recovery and make full wipe again.
5. Reboot your device and it should boot normally.
6. Tell me if it worked for ya
Hi,
thanks for you input. I tried it - still the bootloop. So I made a try with the current version (installed before). This works - most likely because I'm unable to clean Dalvik with the standard recovery.
Anyhow in the end I'm not happy with the outcome because of the bluetooth issues of the new version. Anybody has a suggestion how to downgrade sucessfully - I'd happily install a CM12.1 as well but a nightly without installation advice seems to be a bit too much for me.
try flashing MODEM with NON-HLOS, I think you have corrupted the EFS.

Go to recovery, backup your EFS and MODEM. Move the whole twrp or other recovery folder to pc or external sd card. Then go to recovery and wiped every thing out including internal memory, powered off your mobile go into download mode but before that download a latest firmware from sammobile.com and flash it through odin. If problem persists please root your mobile, flash the recovery . And restore your EFS and MODEM folder. It will help.
Hi,
Need help in fixing my Note 3...Please
I have Galaxy Note 3 N9005 with android 4.4.2. having ROM model N9005ZHUENH4_N9005ZZHENH4_TGY
I downloaded Android V 5.0 ROM from Sammobile with country TGY same as that of already working ROM.
I started the mobile in download mode and burned the ROM but it failed at cache.img with invalid Ext4 error
I downloaded many other ROMs for N9005 from sammobile and only few loaded successfully. However all the ROMs flashed successfully result in inactive wifi.
So I am now running mobile with no wifi.
Please help...

By burning I meant flashing new ROM
Original firmware is N9005ZHUENH4_N9005ZZHENH4_TGY and mobile is not rooted.
Now re-flashing the stock ROM downloaded from sammobile fails at cache.img with invalid Ext4 error
However the following ROMS loads successfully but Wifi greyed and not enabling/working
N9005XXUGBOD6_N9005AMOGBOD2_AMO
N9005XXUGBOF1_N9005BTUGBOD2_N9005XXUGBOD3_HOME.tar.md5
N9005XXUGBOG4_N9005OJVGBOG2_N9005XXUGBOD3_HOME.tar.md5
N9005XXUGBOJ6_N9005XEOGBOJ1_XEO
N9005XXUGNG1_N9005AMOGNH1_N9005XXUGNG1_HOME.tar.md5
N9005XXUGNG1_N9005XEOEND2_alexndr.tar.md5
N9005XXUGBOD6_N9005AMOGBOD2_N9005XXUGBOD1_HOME.tar.md5
N9005XXUGBOJ6_N9005XEOGBOJ1_N9005XXUGBOJ1_HOME.tar.md5

HELP
Hi XYAN78, I had the same isse as you, I also upgraded from kitkat 4.4.2 to the latest TGY rom through Odin, I finally fixed it. Here are the things you can try :
1. Try wipe cache, data from recovery then shut down and take out the battery, then startup the phone again. You may try a few times.
2. If 1. not work, try do :
-wipe data/cache in recovery.
-flash rom througn Odin( don't tick the auto restart check Box), when odin flash finish, reboot into recovery and wipe data&cache. Shut down and take out the battery.
-boot into download mode directly, and flash the rom again.
(You may ned try more time this cycle in order to to fix it. Good luck)

Hi leohk,
i tried your steps but not working...
actually i cannot reload my actual ROM TGY 4.4.2. Few working ROMs as given in my last post are loading successfully.
Can you tell what TGY ROM you have successfully flashed and from where you downloaded that . as i have tried almost all tgy roms from sammobile... I have noticed a zip file error in the TGY ROMs downloaded from sammobile

Originally I was on Kitkat: N9005ZHUENJ1 and then flash the Lollipop N9005ZSUGOI1, I use Winrar and when try the zip file test also failed but after installed the latest version of Winrar, it passed the test. btw, when Odin do the flash it will test the MD5 check also, so if it can pass the MD5 test step in Odin flash process then the file should be fine.
below is the Lollipop Rom I flashed, and I followed the instruction there also.
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/57235/N9005ZSUGOI1_N9005OZSGOI1_TGY/
I remember I tried the process around 4-5 time before I can get the wifi issue fixed. I have a 16G HK version Note 3.
Hi leohk,
I tried the method but it is not working. The TGY ROMS gives ext4 error at cache.img. other ROMS as in my above post loads but without Wifi. So, still without Wifi...
my mobile is 32GB HK version maybe that is the reason.
I also noticed mobile heating up after flash/factory reset is it normal??
Thanks for sharing your experience.
Hi All,
After wandering over the internet to solve my problem i finally resolved it.
I changed my approach to problem instead of focusing on wifi to work with ROMS loading successfully; i focused on ext4 error while flashing with original TGY stock ROM.
After googling and going through many forums I found the solution that worked
The solution was to flash the stock TGY ROM with pit file "CSB_signed_HLTE_EUR_OPEN_32G_0805" and voila...
This pit file is available on the internet.
Initially I loaded original TGY stock ROM 4.4.2 which worked and Wifi not greyed this time.
Afterward I loaded TGY ROM 5.0. The second time without pit file and it was fine.
After re-partition with CSB_Signed_HLTE_EUR_OPEN_32G_0805, what are size of the partition of System, Cache and Hidden of your Note3?
My 32G N9005 is with same wifi problem after flashing latest TGY LL stock ROM. I found System partition size is of 2.2GB but the size of System partition derived from PIT file should be 2.9GB.
