You should go on the forum for you device for better support... This is for the Moto E4, you have a LG Aristo 2.
I have a Moto e4 rooted with magisk manager I went into the mixer paths to try to increase the volume I did something wrong now you can't hear anything on it except for Bluetooth is there a way I can reinstall the mission paths all together if so can you tell me how thank you

Attached is the stock Moto E4 mixer_paths.xml. If you want to edit it, open it in Notepad++. Follow this, post # 3 in particular.
So I can replace the whole mixture path archive partition whatever it's called

All Galaxy 3 Firmwares don't have the ability to record both streams of a call. This is not a bug, it was designed like this because in most countries it is illegal to record someone without their permission. Yes, there are apps that will let you record a call, but without software support, it will record the other end from the microphone, which will result in low quality, but there is a workaround.
This might be illegal in your country! I'm not responsible if you get sued for recording someone without their permission.
12.1 Download the attached "CallRecord.zip" and unpack it.
12.2 After unpacking you should have 3 .so files. You need to get these files into your /system/lib folder with either adb or by copying them to the phone and then using "Root Explorer" to copy them to the proper folder.
12.3 Reboot.
12.4 After the phone has rebooted, you can use most apps that are on the market to record calls properly (that means not from the microphone). I use AllCallRecorder because it is simple and does the job. There are also Phone.apk's that have call recording built in, you could also install one of those and record your calls with it.
Sorry don't use this . Not working.

Hmm.. Thought i was the only one. I'm stuck at Samsung logo for abt an hr now.
gonna try flashing ROM to recover. Nothing works as of now. Tried Factory Reset and Rebooting etc., Please be clear on the specificity of changing our Phone's settings It might not end well for all. And I don't know if it helps, I moved the files through Root Explorer and my phone is I5801.

Hey guys so last time I used it a few months ago this was how I got Samsung Gear VR working on my LG V20 rom. For those DEVs that would like to add this feature I thought we could all work together to get this on every device that is running 1440p screen just for quality reasons.
This is for devs only not a flash able zip.
Extract the contents and just copy and paste the info in the build prop.

Possible to slim it down (Apps)? To include 174Mb in the System is a bit much for that few Users who'd own a Gear VR. Maybe I'll be better if You provide it as flashable Zip. If You need help with that i could be Your Man!
BR and cool stuff btw!
De-odexing could be also a good Step besides pulling it from the System Image instead of dumping it from a running System. But just a suggestion....
Im about to compress those apps to see how much i can save but i need to finish installing a new os. If you want to make a zipable you can ill post it up and can givw u access to the google drive.
I know this is probably a stupid question, but I'll ask anyway:
Where do you copy the contents of the app-private folder
Are there any other instructions? I remember I had to get this to work on a rooted samsung and I thought there was suppose to be some service running for the gear vr software to kick off when the device is connected.

I will make a lovely flashable AROMA based ZIP this Weekend. I can also improve the Size a bit by using my optimized Compression methods. Think the Size isn't that important as standalone ZIP, but some Users have slow connections and bad Data Plans...
I don't own the Gear VR but things like that have to be supported! It's a step in the right direction (Android shouldn't be used to include OEM exclusive Features dear Samsung! Share them!)
BR
So I understand you copy it to app-private in data, but that doesnt give you the software. Does anyone. Have a zip with the required apks needed to actually launch the vr setup wizard?

200MB is not that much gain when most roms will have 500MB+ removed and the system portion would be un changed so free space would be sitting there to be taken up.

Oh so this has to be done before you even flash your phone, you can't add Gear VR functionality after your phone has already been flashed. Sorry I misunderstood.
It would be cool if this was a separate package that could be added to an existing phone with root access.
My way was just how to add ot to a none flashed rom if you throw these files in your system clear cache is should work also if you set the permissions correct

Would you still copy it to app-private in that situation? I tried that and it wiped the folders from the app-private, but did not install any of the applications.
Nougat 7.0 lg v20 sprint. Maybe I am better off installing your rom which will just have it working???
this is great news been trying to get this working on my S7 active ! tried boot.prop changes but no different
as its just software stopping it working, as hardware is pretty much identical ..
did try from here https://forum.xda-developers.com/mobile-vr/gear-vr/port-gear-vr-software-to-android-device-t3540402
but couldnt get it to copy properly, so wouldnt work ..
once rooted, is it just a case of coping over, can this be done via say ES.Explorer ? ..
does this then enable the auto detection when pluging in ? and the touch pad and buttons too ? ..
This looks super interesting. I've got a V20 running AOSP & I'm going to play around with it after work

If you just copy and paste the folders inside the priv app folder think there's like 7 it will be just fine if you copy the priv app folder it might not merge and just replace. I had to factory reset for the apps to get all the correct permissions not sure why.

Hi guys
So I recently updated to B25, and suddenly, I'm faced with the camera breaking if I edit my build.prop. All I'm doing is adding ro.config.media_vol_steps=30
I'm using buildprop editor from the playstore.
Even if I go in and remove the entry, or change the entry to =14 (which I believe is stock, but I'm not sure) it doesn't fix my camera. So far, the only way is to reflash B25.
Can anyone tell me why this might be happening and how I can get around it? I am definitely not jazzed about having such coarse media volume steps!
thanks

Added both media & call volumes steps to my B25 build.prop without issue. I simply made the change using the text editor in Root Explorer, tho, not thru an app.

Thanks. That worked for me. I don't know wtf is the problem with that build.prop editor I was using, but it worked flawlessly through the last 2 updates, but suddenly after B25 just seems to cause this problem right away.
Hey folks,
Coming from a pixel, I really missed the nice sound it played when you touch anything on the screen (sounds similar to google keyboard touch sounds). So here's what I did:
1. Had a friend with a rooted pixel send me his UI sounds (https://drive.google.com/file/d/10bI8faSnKBSwT0LRS2stk7g1Q9rrIRSf/view?usp=drivesdk)
2. Located the file that controls touch sounds (/system/product/media/audio/ui/Effect_Tick.ogg)
3. Using a root browser (mixplorer is my favorite), I tried copying and pasting over the current Effect_Tick.ogg, no luck. Tried deleting the current Effect_Tick.ogg, no luck. Tried changing permissions on the live file, no luck. I checked file size and the pixel one is smaller than the oneplus file, so I'd think partition size wouldn't be a problem.
I'm running android 11 with magisk. I'm wondering if android no longer lets you change live system files? Maybe this is something I need to change while phone is in fastboot? Think this breaks safetynet?
Thanks for the input folks!

Not familiar with your custom ROM but many people don't properly install custom ROMs
Did you FORMAT (not Wipe - it's completely different thing) Data partition (!) when you switched the ROM? If you didn't, you must do it
Assuming you had audio with the official MIUI (otherwise, you may have hardware issue)

WHAT'S NOT WORKING:
- Built-in speakers
- Video recording
- Screen recording
- Voice recording
- Headphones/Earphones
- Bluetooth earphones/speakers
- No audio calls, no ringtones
- Unable to disable/enable mute button during call
- During call, speakers are enabled but cant be disabled (still no sound)
WHAT'S WORKING:
- Adjusting volume sliders
I'm not sure if this has something to do with hardware since I dont recall it falling, etc.. It suddenly stopped working at all.
There are codes that you dial and you can test all your hardware separately. It depends on rom, so you have to try
man we have the same issues. my device has no audio source since i switched on custom rom. i tried to back again on stock rom but it doesent work again. the technician recommend to replace the audio ic which is hardware issues. anyone can help us on this problem? my device is mi 9t
Try to wipe all, including recovery. Don't install newest rom, try older like android 10 and then if it doesn't work, you can try editing propsconfig

If you have Magisk, use Magisk Hide Props Config module to add/edit/remove any prop
Otherwise, from TWRP, Advanced, File Manager (for e.g. build.prop file) go to /system and copy the file build.prop to /sdcard.
Reboot to Android, edit your copy of build.prop saved to Internal memory.
Reboot again to TWRP, mount System as writable, copy build.prop to e.g. build.bak and copy your edited build.prop from /sdcard to /system
If anyting goes wrong, reboot to TWRP, remove your build prop and rename your build.bak back to build.prop
You can also copy build prop from TWRP to PC, edit it there and copy back
Google for details if you are unfamiliar with, this is just general idea
If using TWRP, make sure you make a backup file (like build.bak) to be able to resolve possible brick or something
If using Magisk and that MHCP module, changes will be systemless (google if not familiar with the term) and you can simply disable the module (and automatically all your changes on props) if anything goes wrong
Generally, it's not for beginners to play with props

Thanks for explaining everything brother. Now I will do a research about editing audio or sound on build prop. Hopefully this is not a hardware issues.
Same issue encountered with me also. I am in a great distress right now. Tried more than 30+ roms (including recover, fastboot, custom, and stock), but nothing helps.
IF you find anything please update here.. THat'll be a great help indeed!!
