Hey guys,
So I finally got around to getting this mess sorted out with trying to get Order and Chaos working on my Galaxy Note and it runs great once you actually get 'around' the device checking nonsense.
I do actually own an Android Market and a Gameloft Store license for the game as well as have a subscription but unfortunately neither of these files will actually work due to the in-place device checking.
Unfortunately I cannot tell you where to download these files but the following are the two files you need:
- Order-and-Chaos-v1.0.8-approb.com.apk
- GloftMMHM-snapdragon-approb.com.rar
Once you have both of those files you need to copy the Order-and-Chaos-v1.0.8-approb.com.apk file to your phone via whatever method you usually use, then extract the GloftMMHM-snapdragon-approb.com.rar file to your computer, connect your phone to the computer via USB and copy the files you extracted to the following directory:
/Android/data/com.gameloft.android.ANMP.GloftMMHM
Unfortunately this copy of Order and Chaos will start in non-English mode, you can change this simply by tapping the bottom right button which will open the "Settings" menu. From there, select the bottom option and tap the American flag.
Congratulations! You now have a working copy of Order and Chaos on your Galaxy Note.
I have created a forum thread on the gameloft forums pointing out that this is a major inconvenience and such complex work-arounds should not be necessary to use a game which works perfectly on a device of my choosing for a game I have a license for.
http://forum.gameloft.com/index.php/topic,43433.0.html
Hopefully this helps some of you folks trying to get this working!
Note: The same strategy as outlined above should still work and is reported to work but I have stopped bothering with this game. If a developer can't be bothered to implement a simple fix like this, in an MMORPG no less, they don't deserve my hard earned money. Also, if you can't manage to find the files using Google, keep looking! They're literally insanely easy to find if you just look for the filenames - use your noggin' - don't expect xda-developers to do *everything* for you
Good job!
Developers need to stop this nonsense.
O M G!
It works like a charm... : O Thank you very much for this, have been searching soo much for just THIS
Sweet Jesus im playin, bye
No problem! Yeah I was searching for this like crazy so decided to just bite the bullet and try various things until something worked!
Thanks! Been constantly searching since I got my Note on how to get this game to work. It's unfortunate that "piracy" is the only way to play it for now but hopefully gameloft opens their eyes and makes the proper changes. Like you, I also own two copies on my Android device and also own a copy for my now sold iPhone 4. I have paid for subscription and have not been able to play it since my note doesn't support it. Again thank you for your efforts and I'll see you online hehehe
Hi,
I have copied the rar contents to the correct path (I am sure because when I uninstall app, this folder is deleted)
but still I get the "your device is not compatible" error when I launch the game.
What is it that I am doing wrong ?

If you connect your Phone (With USB Debugging activated) On the Internal SD (where you have the android Folder, the exernal_Sd Folder etc.)
And there you should have a gameloft folder and you should delete the whole folder: )
there's just one gameloft folder on my Note:
\Android\data\com.gameloft.android.ANMP.GloftMMHM
what else can I do ?
I'd appreciate any help..

So you Delete This Folder and then you go back to the SD Root and search for a Gameloft Folder (Right where Android is)
\Gameloft\
If you have it... delete it.. if you dont have. Delete the other Folder, Restart Phone, Plugin Usb and copy the Data THEN
If its not working delete it again, Restart Phone, Copy Data back to phone and download the apk from the side where you downloaded the Files and Start the apk yourself then...
Hope it works out for you
Greets
Thanks!!
Thanks a million for the info Chris! Works like a charm
The way I got it working was....when I had my GS2 I backed it up with Titanium Backup and then restore it on Note...works flawless...since it won't appear on Market with Note.
Hi,
Thanks for getting us this amazing game!
I got both the required files and placed in the right path.
Been trying all the delete/restart/load and still can't get it to work on my Note...
Anything else need to be check?
-cheers
no matter what I do, my Note connects to internet and checks for files. Then the game says my device is not compatible.
any suggestions ?

any idea guys ?
i can buy pay time from market with that method?? , tx
I assume you guys are extracting the RAR file and placing the files in the path specified, right? If so, try downloading the files to see what the directory name created is, then replace the files in that folder with the files you downloaded in the RAR file and relaunch the game.
As for buying game time - no sadly that doesn't work but I'm afraid this was the best I could find and since I already had a month or so left it hasn't been a problem for me (yet.)
I have modified zxz0O0's script for rooting to just kill the SONY RIC, not upload towelroot and stuff.
This is so you can mount /system, modify platform.xml to have full access to microSD, install xposed, etc.
It works OK (as far as I can tell, I am not an expert).
CHANGELOG:
Version 2:
Removed even more unnecessary files
Here is the file [UPDATED]:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4aBOrwRL1VMeVUwcFNtNEZnRHc/view?usp=sharing
Many thanks to zxz0O0 for guidance.
Mirror if you want.
Enjoy.
Pc o recovery?
PC. Windows only.
Anyone who can confirm it working? And with no extra features.. Malware etc?
Sorry for my ignorance....but can anyone explain what RIC is and why do we want to kill it ???

Here it goes.
As far as I know, Sony RIC is a kernel module that manages security, but somebody may correct me on that.
The "/system" partition i.e. folder on a Sony Xperia phone cannot be written to, if you don't disable it.
Without writing to the /system, you cannot:
Modify the .xml that enables apps to write to the microSD card, which is disabled by default in kitkat (look at https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=nextapp.sdfix).
Install the xposed framework
Modify files in the /system partition for any other purposes.
The usage is as follows:
Get a ftf file for your Z2
Modify it using PRFCreator by using this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z2/general/4-4-4-creating-rooted-update-package-t2933155
Flash the phone using the recovery with the generated .zip file.
Make sure USB debugging is enabled on your phone, together with Allow mock locations (in Developer options), and that you have adb etc. istalled
Plug the phone, say yes to USB debugging query.
Run the script to kill RIC.
Enjoy.

You Sir are a gentleman and a scholar.
newb-asking-stuff-now^^
Hi there,
Im planing to do this "make ur own pre-rooted update" thing for my Z2 to get this annoying "there is an update available" message away, and maybe it also offers some nice features^^
the thing is this Z2 is my first smartphone in general (tried them in the first gen and hated those commercial-bombers xD so it took me a long while to give it a new try)
so Im not very much into rooting and so on.... I dont even know exactly how I managed to root my actual phone xD but yeah anyhow I did it with a tutorial from xda.....
what i want to ask is.... is this ric-killing really needed? as I said I dunno how exactly I did root for my 4.4.2 but I never had issues with using my SD-card or such..... never heard bout RIC before this thread here aswell.....
what is this for and does everyone need this?
....atleast how does it come that this seems to be needed with the 4.4.4 but wasnt needed on 4.4.2? or why did I never hear bout it?
(my root went something like this: using any batch-file, flashing triple-recovery twpr, cwm, and something I dont remember^^ after that rebooting several times and again flashing something from recovery.... but never there was something stated like RIC.... only TA-Backup had to be made tough Locked bootloader as this scares the **** out of me xD)
Will this work on any Sony device or just Z2?

Not really needed, no. But if you want your navigation software (Sygic, Here maps etc) or custom cameras (from the playstore) to save files to the microSD, it becomes necessary. Thank Google for instituting the silly policy with KitKat. I think they reverted it in Lollipop.

I am not sure. I made it for the Z2 and used it on my Z2, but the original script was supposed to work on multiple Sony devices (so it says).
So maybe you could give it a try, and report back?

Hey bro, It works perfectly fine. I tested it on Z1C and it worked perfectly. :highfive:
just for complete understatement...
So I am actually in lack of some kind of permission as I never did this with my actual ROM? Would this allow me to move apps and just everything I desire and manage to turn on rwrwrw on the external SD?
(or is this not even part of ROM? Im not even clear bout whats included in kernel or ROM, and no idea what exactly is contained in firmware then xD anyhow I know ofcourse what those are but just can never find a explanation what differs those wich I could remember^^ Isnt it in principal all of them are part of the ReadOnlyMemory?)
Tough Im able to use foldermount and link2sd?
is this here then only usefull for "regular.no.root.required.apps" wich dont take advantage of su, or how does it come, that I read bout this kitkat.sd.killing.move but still never found the phrase RIC on my huge googling.expiditions....
(luckily knew this before purchase of a 128gb card and could go for the smaller 32gb wich is more than enough for pictures music and vids xD)
Works perfectly. I was upgraded to 4.4.4 via OTA and I was able to save the root but I wasn't able to mount system r/w. Now everything works perfectly.

But in future with Lollipop update, I think Sony will let us move apps to SD, in AOSP(CM) builds they have the option to move the apps to SD.
So I discoverd now whats this for, I found out if an app wich doesnt make use of SU wants to write on SD it fails.... I didnt get it cuz I just let make apps use of SD wich anywaye do use SU ....
Only thing Im still wondering about is why can the stock foto.app (sony) write to SD1 and other apps can not? As I know sony.foto never asked for root.permissions^^
Trouble with Google
I have used your software and my phone is full rooted. Unfortunately, OK Google won't work anymore and when I speak, it did't search. What should I do now? Sorry for my bad English.
so, can you explain step by step how to use this?
Working great on D5803 with FW .77

Need HELP @ Note 3 ( SM-N9002 / SM-N9009 ) SIM2 Call Audio/Mic Routing & MagMa-NX ROM
Got my hands on this one beautiful piece of Samsung Galaxy Note3 SM-N9002 Dual-Sim, and it had this odd version of Chinese samsung rom on it, as it comes from factory, half apps installed that comes with it was in Chinese and had no play store etc and was on 4.xx android, so I went and did my research, found working TWRP, managed to install it OK, then tried few beautiful ROM versions and found MagMa-NX (note7 ported ROM) works wonderfully well, zero crashes etc etc and it also has kernel support for SM-N9002 during installation which I chose to use, all features work 100% and everything works ok, all but SIM#2 call audio.
I mean, I have signal on both sim cards simultaneously OK, I can make and receive calls and all would seem ok, but when dialed to or from SIM#2 there is no audio coming out from earpiece or loudspeaker and mic dont seem to activate as even if I try to record call which feels like muted for both caller and receiver ends, call audio recorder while recording does not pick up any sound trough phone microphones, so I think its something to do with settings in some file not done right or else I dont know what I could be doing wrong.
both sim cards worked 100% ok before ROM flash, but now I'm lost because I cant even flash back to old stock rom, and yes I have gathered original android 4.xx rom but it fails flashing via ODIN every time, so my best bet is on doing some DIY on current MagMa-NX note7 port rom... I wonder if there are any fellows who I could buy the paypal-beer for great help sorting me out on this DIY project? Please PM me or post here if you feel like you could collaborate in resolving this dilemma for me... would highly appreciate folks
I will keep an eye out
I think I figured something. Everytime I attempt to make a phone call on this, I get to choose from which sim card should I dial, #1 or #2 , but what I have noticed now is that I am being asked "SIM1" or "Slot2" ... SLOT 2 I thought? That may be the reason that audio routing doesnt work well for this... tried searching build.prop but this string is not there and I just dont know where to search for this string to get this fixed, anybody can chime in?
Thanks
Did you figure it out ? As i have the same problem with the same rom in addition that when i call anyone and he is on a call i don't get notified with " call waiting

Which CSC did you choose?
I did not figure anything out guys... as I was trying to get this working, I tried every CSC option possible... none worked. Which should have been the one that's working for this models?
in fact Im thinking of selling this beauty of note3, its almost new... in case someone interested I have it... because I would love note7 port rom on this, and nothing else... PS I could live with it being just single-sim option, it works but not perfect as sim #2 is useless then... signal there and texts only works for it as described above...
at the moment its on stock adroid 5.0 and its all 100% ok and fine, flawless, but its boring!

Well, i know that mixer paths are different on single sim and dual sim phones.
Can you extract from stock rom the file "/system/etc/mixer_paths.xml" and overwrite the one in custom rom ?
I think I tried something similar if not exact with no success .. let me repeat the process just in case...
PS also, I will try and dump both versions of these files. Is there anything else I may need to dump from stock rom 5.0 rom?

There are some specific binaries and libs, but i'm pretty sure magma rom already inject them during flash when you select n9002 as variant.
Dumping the CSC folder is a good idea too.

Indeed, conflits may happen. But just dump it and let we examine it.
Ok here is what I managed to try, I backed up stock rom android 5.0 all working state mixer files from etc dir, then flashed magma rom again, backed up those same files for restoration to working state, replaced files with ones extracted while on 5.0 stock android, reboot device, no sound whatsoever, phone wont even buzz keypad dialtones or connect dial phonecalls just hangs. So I went and restored back original magmanx rom mixer files, reboot, but still no success... so now I have just finished restoring 5.0 again, will dump csc folder and share with you. will also need to charge my battery a bit because @ 30% cant expect much to happen when flashing magma nx...
Thanks for the help amigo!!!
Alright, tried merging csc from 5.0 to magmanx 6.0, no luck. then tried after this to merge mixer file from 5.0 to magmanx 6.0 , no luck, back at square1....

Did you checked correct permissions before reboot ?
I'm afraid the problem is deeper than mixer paths.
I'll try to digg more.
I enable root explorer in third party file manage, grant permission, copy file from sd card to system/etc, prompt to overwrite -grant, overwrite complete, power off phone from power-button menu, power on, done. is this bad/incorrect procedure? magmanx has root from stock, when I navigate root dir I get access grant prompt, I grant it and then I can modify whatever.
please let me know what else I could do? maybe there are specific files I could look in to dump out of working 5.0 rom? Thanks!
or maybe just directory content filenames that could/would make sense by their name etc?
its weird, I think its something to do with the kernel itself... maybe Im wrong, but I dont think 9002/9008 kernels were ever made properly to be tested thus the errors... I cant even find any other kernels for 9002 other than included in magmanx and it aint working well anyway

The file "mixer_paths.xml" must have permission set to 0644 (like other files in /system/etc directory).
And try darklord Kernel.
6044 is as per read/write permissions for user enabled, as per this link http://permissions-calculator.org/decode/0644/ , I assume these permissions will auto set after moving replacing file do they not?
Where do I obtain the darklord kernel? I was pretty sure it comes with it... let me re-do the rom and take some snips as I go

Sorry i just noticed you already have darklord kernel.
And set permission like other files in this directory (if not already done by your file manager).
Hello all, I found a method to Root and get a custom recovery on our cricket variant, no donations required! You need to find a copy of sugar qct with a username and password, I don't remember exactly where I found it but it shouldn't be too difficult to find. Then you need to let it update to the latest build, which includes the programmer for our phone. If you don't see 6055u in the list it's not up to date. From there, Hook up your phone (may need to manually put it in download mode. Press upgrade and then navigate to the install directory, look in /bin and find where it downloads all the mbm files. Replace the one that starts with an r with the TWRP recovery for 6055. You may have to overwrite it multiple times during the process. If you did it correctly you will be able to boot into TWRP, if not try again. If you don't close sugar I believe it won't overwrite the firmware files, but I haven't messed with it much. I will try to write a tool to make it easier when I have the time but I'm pretty busy. Feel free to pm me with any questions and I will help the best I can.
To get root just install supersu

I will try to write a tool to make it easier when I have the time but I'm pretty busy. Feel free to pm me with any questions and I will help the best I can.

Did a Google search for "sugar qct" and I see a couple of million hits for "The Sugar Act"...
Tried Root Genius, and it, of course doesn't work...
If you happen to find a link for the app or method you stated, I would be eternally grateful... My lovely wife and I upgraded our phones to the Cricket 6055U, and, since, while not an Android developer, per se, can find my way around the device without being scared off...
So, with due respect, I'd ask if you have the app or name correct?
Thanks, friend, and best respect.

Oops... was premature... found it and am giving it a try... I'll post my results after I give it a shot...

This should help with setting up sugar. The only difference here is to update it and you also need a username and password that I don't have on me at the moment. It will be a few hours until I get home but I will update asap.
Edit: nevermind lol, good luck friend. You may need a decent battery percentage as well

OK... apparently I'm an idiot... Running Windows 10 Pro, and the installer says it's going to install to an appropriate folder on C:\... yet, trying to find it, it really is weird.... I'm going to try on a VMWare Win 7 virtual PC, and see if I'm able to find it there, and move it to my actual C: drive...
If it works, I'll be grateful for your contribution and praise you to the highest heaven!

Can't seem to get the beast to work...
If you would be so kind, would there be any way you'd be able to write up a concise step-by-step thing, if you've made it work... I've got the .chm file open on my desktop, and have spent a few hours trying to make it work to no avail.
Again, if it worked for you, your process would be welcome.

My point is that the site recommended seems to insist on Lollipop on the small beast... and there doesn't seem to be a recommendation for the .bin files, and, when installing on Win 10, it seems to install the Sugar app into some directory on my C: drive that is really not that accessible... Did it using a VMWare Win 7 32-bit virtual, and was able to access the directory, copy and paste to my regular C: drive (old Windows geek since Win 3.11... and DOS 3), and it seemed to run... (of course, running as Administrator), but it really doesn't seem to work for me... Again, I freely admit that I'm likely not doing something right, but even after some research and the included .chm file, I seem to be missing something.
Again, and begging your indulgence for seeming like a noob or a rube, but if I'm not making it happen, I rather think that the tips would be lost on someone for whom this is their first Android device...
Kinda frustrating, as, even though I've been a tech-support guy and database developer for more than 30 years, this thing has me stymied...
I found it fascinating for the *#*# command, earlier, from another noble soul, and, obviously, I also found that the device as configured says, basically... "Don't give a damn... you can turn this sucker on, but as soon as you exit this menu, I'm gonna turn it off again."
Just a little frustrating, and it seems that most of the tips and tricks elsewhere seem to be thinking that new owners of the 6055U are running Lollipop.... aaarrrgggghhh....
If it needs Lollipop to work, and if there's a relatively painless way to downgrade, and then upgrade from a ROM, I'm good with that... the Idol 3 seemed to require that, and it worked well for me, with just an evening's work. This one? Cricket seems to have had a warped sense of humor about it... I seriously dig the device, and, since my Idol 3 broke, and my lovely wife's LG G-Stylo (which was a pain in the ass, and next-to-impossible to root, and then be just perpetually stuck at the logo screen with an unfixable boot loop, if one screwed it up, and just required sending the beast back to LG, as long as one took out Cricket's warranty plan... <sigh>), we took the plunge on this one...
Not much for which I require root, but, since I spent good money on some legit apps (and lucked into a few ... ahem... not legit apps that worked for me), these things require root... I know there's a way to do it, and the Sugar app seems promising, but, mildly autistic guy that I am (and 60 years old, with a memory that doesn't work as it used to), a slimmed-down step-by-step doc would be helpful... should some noble soul put such together...
Apparently, the root method has worked for at least one member here.... But this weird old Jewish hippie doesn't see the mental diagram....
Any help would be welcome, my friends and mishpocheh... ("dear family" --- been here enough years, albeit a relatively quiet member, that y'all might as well be family... )
Hey everyone, sorry about the confusion. I installed on Windows 10 pro with no issues. As far as the page I linked you can disregard everything but the app itself. The update that downloads is marshmallow, and I've had no issues overwriting the latest version. I may have gotten sugar from a different location though, as soon as I get a chance I will do a better write up with everything. A helpful way to find the install directory would be right click on the shortcut from the start menu and click find Target / open file location. If it brings you to the folder with the shortcuts do it again and you will have the install directory. The app should be in (install dir)/tool and the downloaded updates go in (install dir)/bin under a folder that only shows up once you start the process within sugar. I will try to compile the information into a more user friendly format tonight but I can't make any promises on that.
Also just to clarify, I didn't use any chm file
I'm wondering if you could upload your version you have on your pc. I just spent the last month in jail here in Orlando fighting a case and the only proof I've got is on my phone on a phone that I deleted my videos on. I really need the videos back too get a not guilty if I gotta pay for it it's cool but I'm out on bond and all the recover videos apps require root
I got this to work last night. Typed up some instructions but didn't get them posted. They're on my PC at home and I'm at work.
Basically use the copy of sugar in the download package in this thread and then start it and let it update https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/recovery-vodafone-prime-tab-7-t3548560
Those are the basic instructions too except we don't need to swap out bout and use the TWRP from deckersu thread.
Once flashed it'll automatically reboot. I found you had to make sure you caught this and booted into TWRP right away don't let the phone boot. Then transfer SuperSU in TWRP and flash.

FYI this root method wipes your phone so I don't know if this will help your situation or not.
In sugar there is an option to not wipe, it's under session settings or something to that effect

Wish I had noticed that!! Oh well, stoked to have root and it's good to start fresh. Got Xposed installed today and finally got that annoying charging light turned off. Working on getting wifi tetherng working. Then if I can figure out how to get the dialer to be friends with Google voice this phone will have all its annoyance fixed
Thanks so much for figuring this out and sharing!!

Thank you for finding this thread, it is the same one I found but I couldn't remember where it was the other day when I started this thread. Hopefully this will help the people who have been having issues, although I will admit a more painless method would be preferable. I'm currently working on modifying a dirtycow exploit to simply flash the recovery and reboot into twrp, if I get it to work I will zip it all up and post it here.

I got wifi tethering working I did a lot of things but I believe that did it was adding net.tethering.noprovisioning=true to my build.prop then I went into system/app and changed serviceentitlement.apk into serviceentitlement.oat using es file Explorer

Thanks for figuring this out!!! I'd been messing with it for a few days. The renaming the apk to .oat was the piece I was missing. That and a reboot got it working!!

Hi, i created a version of one ui 4.1 for samsung galaxy a10,
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. BOOT UP YOUR PHONE TO RECOVERY
2. FLASH System_Repartitioner_4000MB, be careful, do it with an sd card otherwise all the files will disappear, it will go back to recovery on its own as soon as it's done.
3. FLASH Vendor_Repartitioner_680MB, AS IN THE FIRST IT WILL RETURN TO RECOVERY BY ITSELF.
4. AS THE LAST FILE YOU MUST FLASH OneUI_4.1_Galaxy_A10_Arm64_Apks WHICH IS THE ROM. JUST IT'S FINISHED DO WIPE CACHE AND REBOOT NOW, IT WILL TAKE 5-10 MINUTES TO REBOOT, GOOD LUCK!
camera and face recognition dosen't work very well...
FILES ARE THERE
Download one ui (I put the link for one ui because it's too heavy, the other files are below):
OneUI_4.1_Galaxy_A10_Arm64_Apks
