Kernel

I am not an i9000 member. I am galaxy sl i9003 user. If anyone from i9000 community can please help building a 3.0 kernel it would be grateful. We just need a booting 3.0 kernel so we can have a stable ics. Another member @dhiru1602 from SGS I9000 community is helping us in cm9. He has made cm9 nearly stable becuase of absense of 3.0 kernel he is unable to do anything. We dont need any high tech feautures we just need a booting 3.0 kernel. If some one can help us please reply or pm me. It is a request from i9003 members
We have a spare device and are ready to give
Thank you
i am looking forward as i also got an 9003, too.
Good luck, but you better post it in a i9003 forum

Adding oc steps to a custom kernel

First of all : Hello!
I follow xda and its community from years, and reading and searching trough topics i have been ever able to solve my problems, until now.
Unfortunately i'm a newbie (<10 posts), so i can't post in the direct thread, and i have to post another one here ; besides i've searched trough forums, but i don't find anything.
I have a Galaxy S4 I9505 on which i installed XXUDMH8 taken from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=42798446#post42798446 ; in the past i've installed faux's kernel (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2273437), but now ausdim's (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2342298).
I'm very happy with this kernel : it's more stable and fast, really smooth as butter, in some words really impressive.
But i've a question that's mading me mad : could someone explain me how i can add oc steps?
I want to add 2214 mhz, 2268 mhz and 2322 mhz steps (as in ktoonsez's kernel http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2297379), but i don't manage to understand which files i have to add/modify, and where are located : please help me!

get kernel tuner on google play. but i would not oc that much it will make your phone crash go about 2198 max
I've installed it before to give it a try : it's certainly full and rich of interesting features under every aspect ; but unfortunately isn't what i was looking for.
I've talked to ausdim before, and he explained me that to reach my purpose i must recompile the kernel from source code.
That'all apart from an easy and beginner thing.

Q&A for [KERNEL][Shaky156-V1.0][OC - UV - GPUOC - 4K HDMI - FIOPS - XZ ]
Some developers prefer that questions remain separate from their main development thread to help keep things organized. Placing your question within this thread will increase its chances of being answered by a member of the community or by the developer. Thanks for understanding and for helping to keep XDA neat and tidy!
Nice
Is there swap support? I can't get it activated, for some reason if so. If not can swap be added? Love your work btw.
Think I made a fixable mistake.
My device had TWRP and was rooted with SU but I have 4.3. For some reason I wasn't paying attention to the OS and flashed this rom anyway. The stock kernal is for 4.4 too am I right?
Any easy way to fix this? I'm not getting past the Tegra Note startup screen. I can still boot into bootload and thus TWRP to update the stock kernal.
WIFI problem Shaky Kernel Tegra Note
Sir i love your kernel. I have watched rootjunkies videos and learned about your kernel. I am on kitkat with latest ota update.
When i installed it using twrp, it closed my wifi and i was not able to rotate my screen too. I have then used the stock one you provided. Please fix this issue sir
Please explain me in detail.
i am newbie.
By the way thanks for the kernel
I appericiate your hard work
Im here fingers crossed to get hands on shaky custom rom, i lot warranty on second month just to use his kernel so yeah many thanks to all devs
core usage
Hi
Thanks for your mod. I have a few questions and would appreciate if you could help. Apologies if they have been asked before.
I had to downclock as dead trigger got choppy at 2.1 Ghz by the way...
At stock speeds, am I right to assume that 1.8Ghz is only attained with one core? If so, would using performance governor while setting the max frequency at 1.8Ghz detrimental in gaming? Would the note not deactivate some cores to attain this frequency? Is it a limitation that your mod has?
I do not care about battery life. Therefore, which min/ max settings should I use in setcpu and which governor and schedulers would offer the best speed?
Also, has anyone found a fix for EA games sound stuttering?
Thanks!
Mat
first of all, the kernel just kicks ass
now my question: is it possible to get my previous bootanimation back while keeping your kernel installed?
Hey man, thanks for this kernel, gave this tablet a much needed boost.
I did notice something though. In one of your first replies you mentioned that you fixed the sensors issue, but the one on the link on the OP still has broken auto-rotate.. Is it just me?
I'm using one of the newer Tegra Note 7s by the way, tn7_114gp.
Hello
I want to consult how to make setting min and max of 1 core sets all cores min and max frequency.i'm had another tegra4 deivce want to oc,but only 3 core when 4 core runs together it will limit at 1.6ghz.
Shakey156 custom kernel Tegra Note 7
I have flashed this but accelerometer is not working. It was mentioned that autorotation was fixed but the kernel file I flashed seemed to be broken in that respect.
auto rotation problem

Is there any custom kernal for Tegra Note 7 running on 4.3 JB
Shanky156 has posted a custom recovery but is it just for 4.4 or will it work with 4.3 too?
Please help!
Thanks for an excellent kernel
I was working on my TN7 having this kernel, but I've updated to Android Lollipop, and deleted the kernel ... Will this kernel run on Android L, or is needed to wait for a new kernel for this version of Android ???
pls can someone give me the shaky kernel link or just post the file here.
That would be very helpful. Thanks in adv.

[Dev-needed] A5 2016

Hello, this thread is just for asking if some dev can make a custom kernel for the a5 2016 the a510m to be precise, I just want to boost a little the core clock and the gpu scaling, and maybe some audio boost, and selinux permissive. I know is not that hard, but I'm not a dev and I know nothing about coding. So if somebody wants to help, or know where I can find someone that could help me I will be great. A already asked to the boeffla kernel dev (I used to use his kernel on my old s3) but maybe he don't want to do it.

[REQUEST] s3ve3g NEOX Kernel recompiling.

Hello everyone, first of all I wanted to thank Renix63 for posting the cm12.1 neox kernel: http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...nel-cyanogenmod-12-1-overclock-1-593-t3230195
Very useful and fun kernel to use, however, I would like to add some custom features of my own (I want to add support for specific wireless USB cards that use Realtek, Atheros and Ralink chipsets).
I did flash the neox kernel onto my phone (together with resurrection remix rom) and got the .config file out, in order to start the 'make' process.
The thing is, that I have no idea which compiler I would be using, and how to give it the path to compile, or how to appoint it to the specific ARCH=arm kernel.
I really need someone to grant me any help, or somehow to enlighten me, PM, Skype, facebook or whatever else.
Thanks in advance for anyone who has the knowledge and willing to share it on this thread with me, and other who are reading it.
NOTE: i will be grateful if someone compiled the kernel for me BUT i would like to know how to do it myself.
Please please please help me, it will be highly appreciated since i was already been looking all over the internet and was working on it for more than 3 weeks straight, without any success.
I would like to thank all the extraordinary developers on this website regardless, especially Renix63 for his wonderful kernel.
