Hello,
could somebody advice which usb LTE modem dongle/stick could work with Android HU from Isudar?
There is PX5, Octa-core, Android 8, 4G RAM, 32ROM.
I don´t want to use dongle with LTE modem and Wifi hotspot, I would prefer Just LTE modem works with HU via USB port.
I´m from Czech Republic and would need:
LTE band 2100 (B1), 1800 (B3), 2600 (B7), 800 (B20).
Thanks
Alcatel One Touch Link W800 on a Dasaita PX5 flashed with Malaysk Rom. Looks like it should have the bands you need.

Hello,
thanks, bands are ok.
I found that it's with wifi hotspot, do you use it with wifi hotspot or just LTE modem via USB to radio?
And do you think that it will work with stock firmware from Isudar?
Thanks
Making use of the topic...
Do I really need to root or change the room to use LTE modem with a usb dongle?
I Dont know the HU real manufactor.

I think it makes a ethernet connection and will disable WiFi for the stereo until it is unplugged. Will still broadcast WiFi hotspot for other devices to use at the same time. Not sure about stock firmware or unrooted since I do not have anything with stock firmware.

Hello.
The Nexus 4 never officially supported LTE. Some people discovered that there was partial support in the chipset and figured out how to enable it. However it only works on a limited frequency range and you have to know if the cell sites near you have the right frequency band. I never bothered figuring it out for myself as HSDPA+ is fast enough for me and I only have a small amount of monthly data to use anyway.
You need to use older versions of the baseband/modem as the most recent ones disabled the possible LTE modes. Whether older versions of the baseband are compatible with community ROMs based on 6.0 and up I don't know. I haven't seen any discussion for a while now. Phones with good supported LTE have been common for a long time and I suspect anyone who really needed LTE has moved on.
Band 4 LTE works just fine, problem is, I think Tmo in the US is the only carrier that supports it (thankfully I am in the US and on T-mo in that case). Any ROM with a Hybrid Modem will work. I am on latest 7.1.1_r4 Nitrogen OS and is works fine: http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-4/development/rom-nitrogen-os-n-substratum-10-09-2016-t3459341
Make sure LTE shows as enabled: http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-4/general/updated-zip-one-lte-enabler-flash-one-t2358931
Hi
Good news!, in latest 7.1.1_r4 Nitrogen OS, this ROM has build.prop modified by default with LTE option enabled in mobile network menu. But this ROM has modem device only for 3G, so i flashed this file and 4G LTE it's back again on band 4!

SM-G950FD missing GSM850 band
My S8 is missing GSM850 band. I probably never noticed that, but the problem is that this is the only working 3G band in the area I live now. I forced to use my older SM-G850W to get my service. To my understanding, GSM850 just disabled on this Russian variant. I have already tried to Odin similar ROMs from South Americas (same CSC: FOX) with no change.
Device Model: SM-G950FD
AP Firmware: G950FXXSBDTJ1
CSC Firmware: G950FOXMBDTJ1
CP Firmware: G950FXXSBDTJ1
Firmware Country: SER
Is there any way to get GSM850 enabled? Is flashing with G950FOWT9DTF1 possible? Will it help?

Technically the S8 with Exynos (like your device) should support GSM 850 MHz.
You can try to set the mobile network mode manually to 3g or back to auto - see my screenshot.
I did everything but it seems like the band is physically disabled (please see my initial screenshot)
The only way now I can imagine is to change modem/country...

Unfortunately, you need custom firmware to make this work. Question is, why would you want CarPlay on an Android Head Unit? Why not just buy a CarPlay unit?

Why not check out this guide that provides custom firmware and lots of improvements to YT9216BJ including UI, sound and connectivity. Might help you solve your issue with CarPlay as well.

Using activity launcher
And i forgot to reset the bands and updated to android 12, now i am stuck with band 1 of LTE, and now i no more have access to band change activity
Anyone can upload the com.example.tmo.bandmode apk from their android 11 build? Or a solution to change band, as i badly need it in my locality.

Hi,
I was using Android Auto with my gts4lvwifi for years , I have replaced the old soundunit of my car by the tab. I've made a custom dashboard in carbon/epoxy for it and a lot of cable modifications (working w/ the steering wheel buttons!)

Since weeks, Android Auto isn't available for mobiles/tabs screens, I've tried the Reloaded tool but it's laggy and using old design. It need to enable the Android Auto server on phone, enable AP, connect to AP with the tab and open the reloaded app and use the wifi button to open Android auto. A lot of manipulation.
I'm looking for an alternative (always on gts4lvwifi). There's Android Automotive and Tomtom IndiGO.
About Android Automotive (SnappAutomotive)
Android Automotive need sources (it's okey) but had to build myself on a LineageOS 18.1. The Snappautomotive source is only for gts4lv (LTE) but theres a WIP fork for gts4lvwifi by pheizaut
My work computer is W10 with 16gb ram but only 250gb SSD and 1mbps DSL connection (locked by domain controller). Can't build without getting error due to long time download and long time building (20+ hours for one build).
By time, I have contacted pheizaut who confirm not working on it anymore.

About TomTom IndiGO - URL
Alternative for Android Automotive but the repo to download the -ota.zip (already builded) is locked by account. We need developper account at TomTom to get it. I have requested 3 times the creation of the account to TomTom (3 weeks ago) and nothing. No sources available.
