Whlist trying to put stock firmware back on my Note 3 SM-N9005 the USB became disconnected and I am now stuck with this issue, I can still get Odin to recognise phone and boot into download mode but cannot flash the stock firmware as I think I have corrupted something, not sure how to proceed, below is my current read outs from Odin.

Are you flashing the latest stock ROM from sammobile.com?
Tried using different USB cables or USB ports?

Hi,
Yes, I am using the latest stock ROM from sammobile, and I have tried all USB ports and 3 wires, it's always failing at the NAND write start stage in Odin on all ports and wires. Thanks for the advice so far.
Try another firmware .
Search Nand Write fail .
The aboot.mbn file is the bootloader.
You confirmed the phone model# in download mode?
Aboot.mbn can fail to flash because the bootloader is not for the phone, the bootloader in the phone is newer than the bootloader being flashed, and/or you need to use the original Samsung usb cable.

changing the usb port do the trick.
Now tried to root and install openrecovery-twrp-2.6.0.0-jfltexx/CSB_signed_Fusion3_EUR_0325_V2 from odin and it says pass on all of them.
But when I'm trying to boot up in teamwin, the twrp logo will show up then it will turn black screen, vibrate a moment and automatically restarts to samsung galaxy s4 screen....
I can't seem to make twrm to work...
I think I have messed up my kernel when I install Abyss kernel for gt-I9505 then it bricked after I install I9505XXUBMF4_modems.tar via mobile odin..
any suggestions?
I'm downloading the PDA for my country and It's taking some time to get finished.
Hello guys,
I am trying to install CWM recovery. As you certainly know the easiest way is by flashing the file via Odin.
Thing is I'm having a hard time trying to do what might look easy at first glance.
When opening Odin 3.09 as administrator, it is able to recognize my rooted 9505 (I'm on Samsung stock firmware) whenever I'm in download mode, but after selecting the corresponding CWM file and clicking Start, I get the following:

I tried flashing the PIT partition file for my phone model, but I also get this:

<ID:0/005> File analysis..
<ID:0/005> SetupConnection..

I tried flashing the files independently and both at the same time. It always failed.
What can i do? I really don't know what else should be done to fix this.
I'm getting
Secure Check Fail: apnhlos
when I try to flash any PDA-compatible file in Odin.
What does that even mean? Android sure has some of the most cryptic error messages I have ever seen.

Also I presume you have the Samsung usb drivers installed?

Don't forget to exit, or better yet uninstall, Kies... This can affect flashing too...

The thing is that i have managed to actually root the phone via Odin using CF Auto root ( I had to click "Start" twice, but i ended up successfully rooting the phone)
I just don't know what I'm doing wrong this time around that it's preventing it from flashing files
Any more ideas? Cheers.
Same probleme here

Same problem here, the only difference is I was just doing a firmware update via Odin and something went wrong (I don't know what). The phone says "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again" but Kies is not recognizing the phone.
Please help!

Verizon bootloader will be locked, I read someone had unlocked it, but never saw anything more come of it

Before you do this open your phone, take battery out and note down your serial number.
What I always try at this stage is Kies. Download Kies 3, click Tools > Firmware Upgrade/Initialization and it will ask for your model number and serial number.
Go through with it. It should download the latest stock firmware for your device and it should ask you to plug your phone in and put it in download mode & press next.
This method has recovered me from the worst situations so I hope it works for you!

I was trying to unlock my phone before this, before I gave up because I had downloaded the wrong version (5.0.1 UK stock instead of 4.2.2 stock, was trying to use the leaked unlock codes) and then I tried flashing TWRP 3.0.2-0 in Odin 3.10-7 which "Re-Partition" was ticked automatically for some reason and I didn't know. Now my phone is soft-bricked and Odin won't cooperate. Help me please!
I will provide more info as necessary!

Unfortunately that's gonna take a while due to my internet being reeeaaally crappy. It takes 3-4 hrs on average to download a 1.5 GB file.
Try changing the USB ports.I had the same problem like you 1 mouth ago and tried changing from the front USB ports to the back and it worked.

Was flashing pit files left right and center, a simple switch to a USB 2.0 port fixed it. Thanks

It's failing with the aboot.mbn file because the rom is not meant for the phone or the bootloader on the phone is newer than the bootloader being flashed via Odin.
It appears that the phone has a locked bootloader and AT&T never released a full firmware after 4.2.2, only ota updates.

So how i can resolve this thing
This guide may help: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4-att/general/guide-odin-to-stock-updating-rooting-t2926642
I have the Canadian s4 so I can't recommend a method to easily solve the issue. I always recommend flashing a stock rom via Odin but that's not possible with many att phones.
