[Q] I believe my friend bricked my LG G2 :( What to do

T-MOBILE LG G2 D801
Please bare with me as I dont know that much about rooting/custom rams etc
So I wanted to load some custom software on my LG G2 which my friend had done for me before without problems on my Nexus 4 which i no longer own. He rooted the G2 easily and I settled to get CM11 or 10.2 but first we needed a custom recovery so we tried to go with ClockworkMod but it was not avaible for the D801 variant so we went with TeamWin TWRP so we tried to back up the current ram but the stupid TWRP messed everything up and wiped the whole recovery... Also we where unable to load any other RAMS on their.. we tried all the tricks changed the settings cleared cache reseted everything but it wont work... So my friend said I should go to T-mobile to replace it even though the warranty got voided because he got his s3 replaced before when it was rooted because they did not care... But this time for me they cares and the guy was like no goodbye...
WHAT SHOULD I DO? I dont want to go to a flIPphone...

Can you get into the twrp recovery

Find stock flash procedure. Follow it. Alternatively, adb sideload or OTG. Search and you will find.

Im trying to get into TWRP but im unable to... i dont know how to

Download official firmware in kdz format. Put your phone in download mode, flash and u are done. You can find the procedures in sticky thread. Good luck.

yes it makes touch response slow... so what i did that i installed cwm recovery, flashed an old rom version backup and then installed stock recovery and then updated it OTA and hurrah i have latest software update......... but i had to root it again by installing twrp recovery or wht ever method u choose.........

First ... I flashed rollback package its only 9mb .. by 3 buttons bcos there is no localupdate

What is your phone location.i have a MEAFNAF can this works

Have you tried chinese 4.x version of hisuite? put phone to fastboot and connect it to pc, in hisuite there is "system restore" option, it supports L10 and L00 versions.

there you can find hisuite 4.x version, it supports L10 and L00 versions. Boot phone to bootloader and try systemrestore from hisuite.
I did install it but didn't try to restore because it doesn't support L09 and my phone is working, just wanted to go back to LP.
I don't know what version or region it restores to phone, but that might not be too relevant if your phone is bricked allready

Ok you can find a global hisuite 4 in the huawei site of south africa its a new one

hi guys i have got the update for android 6.0 but i was on root before and had twrp installed and i dont know how i got the update for upgrading, but i tried installing but failed so i flash so many recovery, etc dont know i m noob in this then my phone got bricked then i downloaded the stock rom for my phone then it started then i upgraded to 6.0 but now when phone starts i see htc logo which we see while booting at myt homescreen and it dosent go i tried to go to recovery but it dosent go to recovery it just shows the mobile photo and some kinda red symbol pls help me

yes pratik and yeah the HTC logo it got removed i just reset to factory reset but i dont have recovery

The problem may be due to the fact that you have installed the ota without locking up your bootloader it happens if u want to upgrade what HTC releases officially u have to lock bootloader and then proceed as giiven.... But now I will suggest u to download the twrp recovery and recover it , until there will have been a stable mm ROM flash able zip available rooted for a5_dwg

redmi 2 booting problems

Hi,
I have redmi 2 8gb phone. I was using only single sim till today. When i added the second sim it started to reboot for a few times and went dead.
Now, I have inserted only one sim but the phone reboots and stuck at mi logo.
Please help.

Yes might be. I have one reliance gsm sim and one airtel 4g. So accidently must have put 4g sim in sim 2 .

And the best thing to solve this I recommend you to flash MIUI latest fastboot ROM.

just factory reset in recovery mode..then put 4g sim in sim 1 and report back.....it might solve ur problem

It's Redmi 2 Prime fastboot rom, flash this you will not have any issues regarding LTE and Vo-LTE.

Ya it will be fine. You will be getting lollipop bootloader which will enable you to flash 64-bit custom Roms and modem too which you can use Voice over LTE. But if you gonna use MIUI you will end up with less storage space this can be overcomed be using custom Roms which allow you to install apps on SD card.
Now it's your wish which one to install.

It was just a mistake... I wanted to download MIUI 8 for Redmi 2 and downloaded it for prime and flashed!!!! Lol
I had VoLTE written over the signal strength and I even called to check it... But my phone was lagging and the ram never went more than 300MB. I rooted the phone but when I was installing Xposed my device got bricked and since then I never tried that ROM again.... U know coz I hate laggy devices haha

2. Which rom you are using now?
Now I am wanting to flash 7.1.1 rom in my hm20 lte-in (2014818).I am now on mini 8 lollipop.
3. If there are any precaution that I have to take before moving to 7.1.1 or I can flash roms directly by wiping Nd flashing?
Sorry for these noob questions.

Yeah.... I recovered it!!!
And right now I am on resurrection remix official nougat version....
But somebody told me about the lineage os so I will check that out today!!!
And if u r going to flash a new ROM I suppose u already have TWRP so make a backup using TWRP in ur SD card.. and then use advanced wipe and then install the ROM and the respective Gapps...
Wipe cache before rebooting ur phone or It will be bricked and also first boot will take time!!!

i'm having the same problem with my redmi 2 . it is the problem with only 2nd sim slot .. try any gsm sim (not 4g) in 2nd sim ,like tata docomo or aircel . and do not put any sim in sim slot 1 ..see if the phone shows the same problem ,but there is no problem with using sim slot 1 ,then it is the problem with 2nd sim slot only..

There is an app called flashify on playstore u can download it from there and then download TWRP or cwm or philz from the recovery section for Redmi 2 and flash the image file after extracting it!!!
