Hi
Anyone using a Hermes as a bluetooth modem?? I fine that bluetooth keeps switching itself off!! Happens randomly, have to go into settings on the hermes and re-tick the 'bluetooth is enabled' and 'device is discoverable' boxes.
I want bluetooth to stay on all the time until I switch it off!!
Are the Tytn roms any better in this respect. My device has the stock t-mobile rom installed.
Cheers
Nigel
Update:
This appears to occur when the device goes into standby... If I set it to never switch off then bluetooth stays enabled and the laptop stays connected.
I guess this is the same as the bluetooth headset disconnect issue reported by some here.
Perhaps someday, HTC will fix it, and then some day after that, T-Mobile will release the patch!!

Hi there, after the update i have always troubles with bluetooth.
When the device is connected to my samsung gear s3, randomly i get crashes and have to turn on blueooth again.
When the device tries to connect with my car, i got bluetooth crash and even if i turn on it again it crash.
I have done factory reset and network reset but they don't solve the problem. I have also reflashed the rom with the additional package.
Any ideas? Anybody with the same problem?
Hi,
I have a rooted H990DS running stock on which I tried DOTS1.4, NeoCoreParaDox and mk2000 kernels to try and solve an issue with bluetooth. If I try to turn bluetooth on from the second screen, the icon in the second screen shows it is on but it actually isn't. If I try to activate bluettoth in the settings I can pull the switch to the right but it soen not actually turn on bluetooth. Sometimes, but not deterministic, I have bluetooth finally turned on but it is not reliable. Does anyonehave an idea as to what might be wrong ?
Cheers,
JF
Running my Mi A1 with stock ROM but having numerous bluetooth issues.
It will connect to my earphones without issue, and to my keyboard. However it will not connect to my Ford Fiesta, or to my Amazon Echo. Tested my oneplus 3 with these to confirm and they work fine, so its purely the Mi A1.
I have tried clearing bluetooth cache and forgetting the link.
Any other steps to resolve this?
Generally the devices never even connect at all, says connecting then gives up.
Update: ran the latest software update so I am now running 8.1, still not able to connect to 99% of the devices I try, says pairing then gives up. Any ideas?
I have some BT issues as well, this is my experience.
With Oreo 8.1 stable (updated OTA from 8.0) I was unable to pair further BT devices ("wrong PIN or passkey"),
although those paired previously (some from Nougat) still worked. Neither clearing BT cache and data or resetting
the network settings helped. I saved a couple of logcat logs during the unsuccessful attempts to pair a BT headphone and a BT speaker that worked earlier.
After a full factory reset BT pairing starts working again, although it seems that this happens only for a while,
then it may stop again, maybe I have some interfering app or whatever. I am not trying to delete some paired device
to check again.
This issue is still ongoing, tried more devices and same issues.
Another one I tried is connecting my phone to a bluetooth keyboard (Anne Pro). This works fine, however now the phone keeps popping up with "Please connect a keyboard".

Did you ever manage to isolate the cause of this? I still can't connect to devices

I have never had a problem but have read in several threads people say they have trouble pairing with Bluetooth while Wifi is turned on, not saying it will work but try turning off the Wifi and maybe data too and see if it helps, other have reported it does.
Done another factory reset, issue still persists. Have tried removing all Bluetooth devices, wifi, and mobile network off. Still unable to connect to a bunch of devices.
Tried a bunch of different things, but still can only connect bluetooth to my earphones, and sometimes Amazon Echo. Everything else will just say connecting and then stop.
Hi all
I have weird problem with my h96 Max+
basically whenver i toggle bluetooth on in the settings, it either doesnt look like its fully enabled. or if it toggles completely, then when i back out of the settings page, and immediately go back in to check whether its saved that setting, the bluetooth setting will have turned off again immediately
i have also tried restarting and unplugging all devices. I have even flashed it from Android 8.1 to Android 9 which uses a newer UI. nothing has worked and i cant get the bt to enable
I have also plugged in a usb bluetooth receiver. The light turns on but nothing happens on the software or settings wise
Any ideas to troubleshoot this?
One random google result for the OpenEleec forums for their software suggested it has to do with Ethernet. Which i have tried unplugging to no avail
Thanks
