Hello, guys.
I really need your help on this.
I bought a S7 Edge (G935F) with ATT Mexico in 2016, 2-years contract. The contract ended this march. and i already have the unlock code.
According to the instructions from ATT, all i need to do is do a factory reset, insert the SIM card i want to use, and input the unlock code.
But the problem is, i flashed the official UK ROM (G935FXXS2DRC3_G935FOXA2DRB1_BTU), which i downloaded from SamMobile, onto the device back in 2017 in order to update to Android Nougat.
And now when i insert the new SIM card (non-ATT), the phone just doesn't show the page where i am supposed to input the code. It simply doesn't have service.
I downloaded the official ROM for ATT Mexico from SamMobile, and tried to flash it.
The Nougat ROM for ATT MEXICO (G935FXXU1DQL7_G935FUWE1DQL7_IUS) was installed successfully, but still, no place to input the unlock code, simply no service. Even IMEI, IMEISV and the baseband version are not recognized. Weird.
The Marshmallow ROM for ATT MEXICO (G935FXXU1APER_G935FBUS1APER_IUS) simply couldn't be installed successfully. I got stuck on the start screen after the flash and couldn't even boot into the system.
UK Nougat ROM (G935FXXS2DRC3_G935FOXA2DRB1_BTU):
AP_G935FXXS2DRC3
BL_G935FXXS2DRC3
CP_G935FXXU2DRB6
CSC_OXA_G935FOXA2DRB1
HOME_CSC_OXA_G935FOXA2DRB1
ATT Mexico Nougat ROM (G935FXXU1DQL7_G935FUWE1DQL7_IUS):
AP_G935FXXU1DQL7
BL_G935FXXU1DQL7
CP_G935FXXU1DQL7
CSC_UWE_G935FUWE1DQL7
HOME_CSC_UWE_G935FUWE1DQL7
ATT Mexico Marshmallow ROM (G935FXXU1APER_G935FBUS1APER_IUS):
AP_G935FXXU1APER
BL_G935FXXU1APER
CP_G935FXXU1APEQ
CSC_BUS_G935FBUS1APER
HOME_CSC_BUS_G935FBUS1APER
And here is the phone's info after i flashed the ATT Mexico Nougat ROM:
CSC Code of the firmware: IUS, which means ATT Mexico
Active CSC Code: IUS, which means ATT MG935FXXexico
Product Code: Blank
Original CSC Code: Blank
CSC Country: Mexico
Bootloader: G935FXXS2DRC3
PDA Version: G935FXXU1DQL7
CSC Version: G935FUWE1DQL7
Baseband Version: Blank
(Got these info through the application "Phone Info Samsung")
I noticed the phone's bootloader is still the same as the bootloader of the UK Nougat ROM even after i flash the ATT Nougat ROM, which i think probably is the main cause of the problem.
I also tried to flash the bootloader of the ATT Mexico Nougat ROM, and Odin always gave me "FAIL (error 1892)".
Another thing is, after the flash, when i check the CSC info from the application "Phone Info Samsung", it shows the CSC is IUS, but when i boot into Recovery, on the bottom, it says, "Applied the CSC-code: BTU. Successfully applied multi-CSC."
And FRP Lock is already off.
I really need your help on this issue. Any help or guidance is greatly appreciated.
Love and Peace.
Daniel.
it's my pleasure to help you out

hi guys. anyone experienced the same. here's what happened:
i was using i9505 glb kitkat (csc=glb=globe philippines). i flashed clockworkmod, then install carbon rom.
last month, i re-flash my original glb kitkat. then went to recovery. i noticed that the csc changed to sin (singapore singtel) without doing anything.
now my problem is what rom should i use next time i update to lollipop: glb or sin.
pls help and many thanks.
Is your phone SIM unlocked? If it is, it doesn't matter which CSC you use. Otherwise, stay with CSC GLB.
No. I used regionlockaway to make it sim unlocked.
Then as mentioned, the CSC doesn't matter. Case in point is my I9505. Originally an O2 phone, when I purchased it the S4 was already unlocked and had Ukranian firmware on it. When I installed the Black Edition UK firmware (CSC BTU) after repairing my S4's SIM tray and again removing the SIM lock, I ended up with CSC AUT (Switzerland) instead.
On an open firmware such as CSC BTU, there are actually multiple CSCs within the firmware, and all the CSC does is customize the firmware to the needs of a specific region. In the case of AUT, the firmware installed three Swiss-specific apps that could be easily removed. BTU and the other CSCs essentially do the same thing, and I am guessing this is without modifying the firmware itself.
Ok. Thanks guys. I'll still use glb firmware once lollipop is released. I had once semi-bricked my s4 (got repaired at samsung center) so i'm kinda nervous this time.
Hello,
I picked up a Claro (Argentina) i9500 from eBay that said it was unlocked. My telecom is Rogers and Canada and the phone prompts me to enter an unlock code. Well before I go through the hassle of an eBay return (the seller was in California) I wanted to try to unlock it myself. Unfortunately the options to unlock are not available on my phone (Guide I Tried). I also tried the unlock service UnlockCode4U.com but they were unable to find a code and refunded me the cost.
So I've seen that for the i9505 variant you can flash the ME2 modem and access the *#0011# menu options but I haven't found a corresponding modem for the i9500. My baseband is I9500UBUHOK1 and I'm using Atom ROM.
Can anyone offer any insight or a baseband that I can flash before I attempt to return the phone?
Any help will be appreciated.
==EDIT==
I'm not actually entirely sure WHERE the phone is from. Using the Samsung Phone Info app on the Play Store is shows me this:
FIRMWARE
Bootloader Version: I9500BUHOL1
PDA Version: I9500XXUHOB8
CSC Version: I9500SERHOB8
Baseband Version: I9500UBUHOK1
Latest Firmware: I9500XXUHOK5/I9500SERHOK1/I9500XXUHOD4
CSC CODE
Product Code: GT-I9500ZKLSER
Original CSC Code: SER
Firmware's CSC Code: SER
Active CSC Code: SER
CSC Country: Russia/RU
Mobile Operator: 302720 (Rogers, but probably set from inserting SIM card)
So the fact that it is from Argentina was wrong I'm guessing, as the SER code is Serbia/Russia but Claro was on the original firmware and doesn't seem to operate in Russia. I think it's easier at this point to just return it.
Ok so I recently got a Unlocked Galaxy S7 edge (SM-G935FSZL) I thought that it was just a SM-G935F but using 'Phone info' I get the extra szl. On to my dilemma, I was attempting root when I soft bricked my phone into a bootloop. I flashed a firmware which I thought was from the U.K waited for a bit then rooted successfully and everything has been fine or so I thought. I noticed it changed from LTE to 4g after flashing the firmware, I didn't pay it any mind. But now my speeds are extremely slow unless Im outdoors which was NOT happening before. I cant seem to connect to a galaxy vr device that was given to me brand new. And I dont have any CSC, Im guessing thats where my problem lies? I would love any help and advice to fix this and get my phone back up and running how it should be. I will give as much info as possible. I'm in the United States and T-Mobile is my carrier.

Hello,
Can someone please try to explain this to me:
When I flash a multi CSC firmware on my S8, from the same region as my original firmware, how will the phone decide with CSC to assign from the multi-CSC list?
Example:
I have an S8 from Vodafone Romania and I want to flash the Romanian ROM firmware. But this firmware also contains other European unbranded CSC codes.
On what basis will the phone assign ROM as CSC to my phone? Based on the SIM card?
Many thanks.
No matter.
I have reflashed my branded Vodafone S8 with the open firmware for Romania. After, did a wipe cache and factory. Then the phone asked me to accept another reset to apply features from my sim card. Done that and the CSC is now the one from my country ROM. So, short answer, keep the sim card you want the CSC for in the phone to have specific settings
Is it possible for me to flash the unlocked uk firmware BTU if I'm on EVA(EE) and if I did so would I be able to use an o2 sim card and still receive updates? Theres probly a thread for all this but i just cannot see it lol.
Thank you
Hello... It should be haven't done on my s10 plus cos its the unlocked version but did that one note 9 was also on EE and did put the BTU with odin.
