Hopefully I'm Being an Idiot -- Can't Install Certain Apps From The Market

I'm running NexusHD-Gingerbread v2.9 on my HD2. It's a fresh install and I've just discovered that I can't install Facebook, Google Maps, Google Street View, and Google My Tracks (possibly other apps, too) from the market.
Is there something I need to change in the build.prop? Am I overlooking something dead simple?
I have the same problem and have seen the same question posted on several other threads. There does not seem to be a solution across the multiple ROM and platform world. I have tried the build prop edit on my wifes newly flashed HD2 without success. Unfortunately she go t into the game after the last market update..so now she doesn't even get an out of date Utube, Facebook, GoogleMaps etc.. I have suspicion this is a much larger problem but that most people have not noticed because they already have older apps from before market update. Lookse like we have Big Brother Google trying to get us to conform to either buying a new phone or sticking with stock ROM. It would be great if someone could share a permanent solution with our outcast community
To fix this:
1- Go to Market > Titanium Backup > Install .
2- Open Titanium Backup and look for an app called "Market Updater", hit it and choose "Freeze".
3- Download and install a previous version of the Market, say version 2.XX.X, if you cant install it normally, rename the apk to "Vending.apk" and push it to /system/app/ using (adb push Vending.apk /system/app/) or from terminal within phone (su *hit enter* cp /sdcard/vending.apk /system/app/)
4- Go to Settings > Manage Apps > All > Market > Uninstall updates
5- [Skip if your country supports paid apps] Use Market Enabler to set your SIM to T-mobile US.
6- Go to market > Accept Terms and Conditions > Enjoy your Market ! and the INSTALL/BUY button will always be there for you !!
(This is a temporary workaround, until a fix is rolled from Google or whoever.)
Funny, not everyone have this issue, hope the above workaroud works for you.
yea its working great over here and so fast, seriously i found this is the best rom
Thank you, this does get more access to more app downloads. Would be nice to have latest market at some point.

[Q] can't click on "install" when I try to install APK

I am using the international version of the g2 and its rooted , I've tried installing few apk files it doesn't work , i ts not the "unknown sources" option and I don't have screen filter , it just doesn't work suddenly , last apps Install were : echo notification , maxthon browser and push bullet before that i didn't have a problem ...
it's probably one of the apps you have stopping you pressing the install button
had it happen to me a while a go on a nexus 4, a screen colour filter adjustment app was the culprit. I know you say you don't have one so I guess another app is impeding it

app for permission management

Hey, so just wanted to ask if anubody knows any apps/xposed modules to revoke permissions and such? Purenexus had this implemented, but since they dont offer cmte version anymore im using du now and really miss this feature. Mainly i just turn off permission for start at boot and prevent from sleeping, but every app i tried doesnt really work. Any suggestions? Thanks
go to settings > device > apps > tap gear icon or the three dots > app permissions
or if it's a permission you can't edit there... XPrivacy

Error reading the database! Check the storage permissions!

Hi all,
Since yesterday my OP5 keeps pop-up a message '' Error reading the database! Check the storage permissions! '' And I have no idea why. I Tried to find on web anything about that but I didn't get anything.
Here is an screenshot showing the problem.

This message shows every 1-2 seconds. I Tried to stop all my apps to discover who was the problem but with no success.
I dont wanna do a Factory Reset , so... if anyone has any idea to help me. Thank you !
You rooted? May be you need to install "fix permission" app from playstore to fix permission issue.
No , it´s not rooted !
I tried to run '' fix permission '' app anyway, but no changes =(
Hey man did you find a fix for this?
I've got the exact same issue on my Samsung S7 edge
EDIT: I went into Settings > Apps > App permissions > Storage
Then I started ticking all the apps from the top of the list working my way down. Not the best way, but it seems to have stopped the popups! I later went back and unticked apps that definitely need storage permissions, so far so good

Ok Google Detection Greyed Out..

Hey fellas..
From the past few days, I've been facing a problem..
When I go in the Google app, settings, voice, Ok Google detection, the option for enabling this feature has been GREYED OUT!!
I have a Lenovo A6000 Plus and I am running Nougat 7.1.1 on Resurrection Remix ROM.
I have tried clearing the cache and data and then restarting the phone but it doesn't help..
Also, updating the Google app to it's latest beta update also isn't helping..
Also, I have set English ( United States ) as my primary language.. But it still didn't work..
Also, I have given Google app all the permissions including Microphone..
Please help me..
Hi guys ,
This problem that u have can occur if the Google app is not installed as a system app .
So to fix this ,follow the next few steps -
1) Convert Google app into system app using apps like Titanium backup or anything of your preference.
2) Using any root Explorer navigate to Root > system > app and search for an app named similar to 'googlesearchbox' and cut the app from this folder.
3) Now Navigate to Root > system > priv-app and paste the app.
4) Finally Reboot and now the problem will be gone
