MIUI bloody syncing all the time - HD2 Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting and Genera

Hi, MIUI keeps syncing on my phone when I connect to WIFI, it makes the phone so slow that its unusable, when I use 3g data, its fine.
I did turn synicng off in settings, I find it retarded that it just keeps syncing even if I switched it to manual sync.

I uninstalled Xiaomi sync (With a tool) and that seems to have fixed the issue

syncing 2 times with bluetooth does not work.

When syncing throught bluetooth, it connects fine and everything, I can sync no problem. But if I disconnect, or get disconnected (out of range), and try to sync again, the HTC wizard just gets extremly slow, and if I check the active sync status on my pc, it's stuck at looking for changes. It never continues, only way to sync again is to reboot the whole wizard.
Is anyone else having this prob? It's pretty annoying.

Problem with Activesync

Hi there,
Over the last few weeks I have had a problem syncing mu phone, I am able to connect and browse and install software via my PC but it refuses to sync, it starts good by saying that it is looking for changes, then it asks me if I want to combine, overwrite and so on and then after I make my selection it simply says 'Synchronization Error' and remains connected but that is it.
I have tried upgrading and downgrading activesync and my ROM, but what ever I do I get the same result, I have tried on another computer also and still the same.
Please help me as I am going mad, it is not quite a brick, bu is not far from it if I can not get my information on to it.
Cheers
Update
After going back anf forth with versions, I managed to do one full sync ( thank God, now I have my data back at least). but now again, it is failing,WHY ? connection exists, browse and so on works, only the sync does not work.
Do you have bluetooth?
I has a similar problem, I setup a sync profile with my PC via bluetooth and synchronised it through BT. After plugging in the cable afterwards my Syncing was fine...
worth a try
syncing problems
I had the same problem but I seemed to work through it by removing the Mobile Sync 4.5 and re-installing it. It looks like it's not working, but after the install bar goes about half way, everything is on, including the calendar and the Outlook Database. Good luck!

Hey!
I had the same problem last week. One morning I did the sync, but later that day when I tried to sync, it was not even recognizing the hermes. I tried doing different options... At last the life saver was uninstalling and reinstalling Active Sync. Just try that, hopefully it saves ur problem..

Device Keeps Connecting Every Few Minutes (Active Sync Disabled) What Else?

Hi all,
Running DCD rom. I have disabled activesync from auto starting via a reg edit on the phone. I have also downloaded ActiveSync Toggle for XP to disable ActiveSync from autostarting.
My phone still continues to connect causing the device hard found sound to constantly go off during the day numerous times. What a HUGE annoyance! I am wondering how can I disable all active connections that would cause the computer to ding every X amount of minutes indicating that new hardware has been found?
I have tried everthing and dont believe there is a way... lol

All Contact Data Lost

For the 3rd time my phone has lost all my contacts...
This has happened with 2 differnt ROMS.
Does anyone have any ideas?
John
You could save your contacts to your sim card.
just backup with google synce or myphone?
Thanks guys, I have my phone set up with an Exchange Server, but I have to set the phone back to factory settings eachtime becuase the Activesync software fails to work once the contacts have been lost.
I'm really looking for a solution or reason why this is happening to me so I can avoid it.
-John
All of your contacts should be pulling from your exchange server... Are you trying to sync by connecting it to your desktop? Are the contacts disappearing during a sync?
wow! I annotated even joking..... i just lost all my contacts again!
when I attempt to run ActiveSync itopens briefly and shuts down.
i have also lost my imap4 email too....
WFT, could I really be the only one having this issue?
John
SO are you syncing with it attached to your computer or doing it with the data connection wireless? An exchange sync doesn't work if you are connected to your PC.
Also curious if your data connection is poor or if you have tried connecting to a wireless network before syncing?
Do you only lose your contacts when you are trying to run active sync and it crashes?
I never sync directly with the PC - gsm/wifi connection only.
I have had Windows CE devices since the begining of time... Other than the odd software bugs, etc I have never come across anything like this... Four times I have lost 100% of my contacts, email accounts cleared from my phone etc.
Only a full factory reset will allow me to connect with ActiveSync again. Yesterday it happened waiting to see doctor - good thing I had a long wait.
I am not "running" ActiveSync. I have it set for Push, so it syncs all the time.
Maybe try turning off push at first and using Active Sync to pull in everything in the beginning?
I have hard reset my HD2 several times and each time I set up my exchange I manually ran active sync. it takes like 4 times running it to bring all 1500 of my contacts and all of my work related emails into my phone, but it's never crashed on me yet during the sync...
I could do that, but if I turn push off I won't get my email updates, contacts won't get updated/backed up.... :/
Just initially leave push off... Not forever. Once all of your contacts are in there, after doing a manual active sync several times possibly, turn push back on.
I use push mail every day during the week, but when I first setup my phone I run a manual active sync to get all of my contacts and emails on my phone because if I just rely on push to do it initially, it won't import everything. I think I just have way too much to sync or something?
oh, the loosinh of data happens several days after the initial sync. maybe 3 to 6 days later. i think 6 days is the longest It's gone without loosing all the datda.
