Added to the first post!
Just a simple question. Is this ROM based on 4.010.40, as that's the latest US release. Just asking because your description stops at 4.010

Again this is the AUS release version, US is .11_GEN2 and now it appears that they just pushed .13_GEN2 OTA to the USA.....

I bought mine at Best Buy in the US, and it's a GEN 1. That being said, the .40 release has a GPS.conf file that's set for North America, so if it is an Australian update, they messed up big time!

Here's the gps.conf straight out of the .40 update that you state is an Australia release:
"NTP_SERVER=north-america.pool.ntp.org
SUPL_HOST=supl.google.com
SUPL_PORT=7276"
If this is an Australian update, then Acer screwed the pooch for the ppl getting this update in Australia
Just a PSA, really. There was another thread reporting success, but that was with an older version (75) and on a different variant which bootlooped for me.
Latest Xposed version 79 SDK 21 for x86 is booted and working perfectly.
Would anyone like to share which modules do and don't work for them? I haven't installed any yet myself, but I'll report my findings when I do.
Working without issue:
GravityBox [LP]
XHangouts
YouTube Background Playback
YouTube Adaway
Materialize Xposed Installer
NotifyClean
Maxlock
Greenify
Fix Lollipop Memory Leak
Flat Style Bar Indicators
Not working:
None that I've tried yet.
If anyone would like to add which modules do and don't work for latest 5.0 FW, then post here and I'll keep this post updated.
installation works for version 79 SDK 21 for x86

Did you get it here? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3034811
I've flashed 79 SDK 21 for x86 a number of times and every time the Xposed app tells me the framework isn't installed. Is there a trick to doing this?
P.S. If you know of any way to downgrade from lollipop back to kitkat do let me know, I upgraded earlier today and I'm regretting it already.
@topjohnwu
There is version 16.4 now, but your post says 16.0 is the latest stable;
https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/official-magisk-v7-universal-systemless-t3473445/page5
Should we stick to 16.0, or update, when we see latest versions like 16.4?
Thanks
Version 16 will be fine. Inside Magisk manager you have the setting option to receive update notifications. You also have the option to not see beta version notifications. You can choose to turn that on.
Magisk developer is busy at the moment.
Use the latest stable version of *any software* if you are not sure. Don't try anything else if you want stability.
Right now 16.0 is stable so use that.
You should read release notes too.
If you have magisk installed it will give you stable updates if available.
Does this help?

Issue Resolved!
Hi, does anyone have been using Magisk Module Riru Edxposed on their H990DS Oreo? How's the experience? I found a thread in reddit who share that their system became lagging after installing this magisk module. Anyone care to share the experience? Much appreciated. Thanks!
I have been using it on the US996 stock Oreo, I doubt there are many differences between the variants.
I did use much earlier versions of EdXposed that seemed to have lag issues that caused me to go back to the original Xposed.
Current versions seems to be OK thought with the added benefit of SafetyNet passing.
Keep in mind that I am currently using the beta Magisk (21.0), 21.1 caused bootloops, with the Canary version of EdXposed.
I have also used EdXposed with the stable Magisk 20.0 with no issues other than SafetyNet was harder to pass.
Beta Magisk 21.x needs plugins to be updated for it, only the Canary versions work for it as far as I know, the versions available in the Magisk repository are not compatible, they throw up errors during install.
Some updates.
I tried the very latest Canary and Alphas (0.5.1.3_xxxx) and had issues with random restarts.
The 0.5.0.6_xxxx versions are much more stable, I would stick with those for the time being.
Has anyone been able to flash and have the latest magisk version work on shield? I've had no look thus far
bump
I use magisk delta 25.2, I think it is the latest version.
Did it by flashing modified boot.img available in 2019 section.
