Stock Kernel GT-I9500

I've been looking for the stock kernel for my Galaxy S4 GT-I9500. I flashed a custom kernel thinking about "higher scores" in benchmark tests but it didn't work and now I'm getting lower scores... Even with the CPU overclocked to 2.0 GHz... But I can't find the stock kernel.
I have the stock firmware (thanks to SAMMOBILE) on my laptop but I am trying to avoid the master reset. I'm uploading a screenshot of my current firmware so that it would be easier.
I hope someone can help me and if this is a repeated thread; well sorry about that.
THANKS! :good:

Please open the tar.md5 file of your rom with WinRAR and extract the boot.img file and send to me i'll convert it to you as an Odin flashable pack
EDIT : Here is the link for the stock kernel extracted from my rom zip and converted to an Odin flashable pack It goes on the AP tab of odin no need to wipe anything https://mega.co.nz/#!ZZ5HQSLK!5VSAHAQW8_n2upHObILy7lLNa2coEFI-KRdwibC7WIA
Its a great method for switching kernel but there in anpther problem. Perseus kernel stops android logger so when you return to stock kernel you will get bunch of fc's. I didnt manage to take care of it. I always install a rom when switched to stock kernel.

N910TUVU1COD6 - Modem - Stock Kernel - Stock Recovery

If you are looking for the Stock Kernel - Stock Recovery or Modem file for the latest Lollipop Update for the TMO Note 4
You can use FLASHIFY to install Kernel or Recovery
You should be able to flash the modem using ODIN 10.6 - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2711451
I am not certain about earlier versions of ODIN.
you will find all files here - DOWNLOAD
Stock Rom from Sam Mobile is being uploaded to GOOGLE DRIVE - when it is finished uploading you can access at link above.
Flash in ODIN 10.6
I hope this is helpful
I am not responsible for your actions or your phone.
Not yet considering upgrading to Lollipop as I am not willing to give up Xposed.
Curious though if there could be any benefit or adverse affects in flashing the "Modem" ONLY to KitKat based ROM?
Anyone tried - comments?
modem file is no longer on mediafire. says it's removed.
edit: got it

I have posted a new link for the Modem - Kernel and Recovery - but will need to post a new link for the STOCK ROM a little later - sorry for any inconvenience -
PS - anyone know why Media Fire is banned? Just curious?

I totally agree! Fingers crossed that xposed works with TW one day. Yeah, I just flashed the modem file via odin. Works great on KitKat. Tried calls via cellular & WiFi calling, data via LTE & WiFi, tether, and Bluetooth all around. Don't know about battery life yet or signal (cell tower practically in my backyard) but will report any negatives here if found. Oh btw, use cp button for modem on odin. And you we can always flash back to the old MK7 version if there any issues.... Enjoy!

The OP loaded them on Google Drive now.
Do we still need install modem file, boot.img and stock kernel even after I flash (through ODIN) the firmware from sammobile? Sorry, I have been installing custom ROMs and trying to get back to stock to see how it works. I thought just flashing firmware would be enough (and I thought this will take care of latest model, boot.img), am I wrong?
No need to flash these if you did the whole deal.

Thanks, and I can install other baseband firmware N910TUVU1COD6 though mine is N910TUVU1ANK4. Correct? Thanks again, just trying to avoid bricking...
Indeed. These phones are hard to brick
So has flashing this modem to a kitkat frimware and rom change/increased the signal/data speeds?

It's possible to have minor improvements through an updated baseband/modem/radio version but nothing miraculous. Sometimes newer versions are worse. Just depends. Mine seems the same so far. We'll see. You can always go back.

Untouched Lollipop Firmware (androidfilehost.com)

Some people have requested other download links to get their firmware from other places than sammobile.com. I have to agree with them, when I downloaded from there it was a$$ slow and they make you pay for a quicker download speed....which is a HORRIBLE model for the android community. Others also couldn't download from sammobile directly on their device. Therefore, I have started to download certain firmware and upload to Android file host.
Here is what I have compiled so far:
SM-N910T - N910TUVU1COD6
SM-N910W8 - N910W8VLU1BOC4
SM-N910R4 - N910R4TYU1BOC4
I used this method to install:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2903733
Is there any other firmware you would like? Let me know and I will add it to the collection.
I am not responsible for any damage, flash at your own risk.

No. Those are base firmware tar files. Flash via Odin 3.09 or newer. Both CF Auto Root and TWRP are flashed in the same manner.

Yes you can. If you update via Odin, you can then also use CF autoroot to root and install TWRP. I will post a link to what I have used to do this. I am using COD6 rooted with TWRP 2.8.6.0

I was wondering what other firmwares can be flashed to a Tmobile Note 4? Is it dependent on what other regions have the Qualcomm processor in the Note 4? I'd love to try something other than the Tmo firmware.
Thank you good sir!

I just happened to see your unanswered question - didn't know if you were still looking for an answer - unfortunately you cannot flash firmware from another phone on your phone using ODIN without bricking your device. you can flash the new Firmware for your phone and follow steps offered in the various XDA threads to install roms that are based on different variants - for example - if you are on TMOBILE Note 4 - once you have rooted - you can flash a Rom from the International version of the NOTE 4 - there is another file you have to flash to fix certain problems - but it can be done. you probably should do a google search to find all of the specifics - good luck - hope I helped you.

Thanks, it makes sense. I got a little confused for a minute because I can flash any country's firmware on my Tab S, but it's the WiFi - only version. Now I remember about installing international ROMs on the Note, system only. Thanks buddy [emoji106]

EPK2 bootloader and modem for N910T

I downloaded the EPK2 firmware from sammobile and parted out the BL and CP for those of us on custom ROMS. This allows you to ODIN just the BL and CP w/o losing yer custom rom or any data or anything. Tested it myself and am currently running it trouble free.

This may sound stupid to some, forgive my ignorance, but if I flash the BL and Modem over my current DOK2, can I then just download and install a custom rom that is based on EPK2 and flash it like normal? Or do I need to actually flash the OFW?

You will have to flash a newer ROM. Whatever DOK2 ROM you are using now will prob not play nice with the updated (not upgraded) BL and baseband. Personally, I haven't found a MM ROM that I liked for this device.

Yeah that is what I had planned on doing. I was just wondering if flashing just the modem and BL would allow me to then flash a custom MM rom without having to first flash the full firmware. Was just looking for a short cut. But I have not decided if I want to upgrade or not. I am currently using Maximum Overdrive v7.1.1, just seems a bit sluggish these days.

[GUIDE]: Flash Oreo build G955FXXU1CRB7 - SM-G955F

New Odin was leaked! New guide is here.
New Oreo build for Samsung Galaxy S8+ (SM-G955F) is live! G955FXXU1CRB7/G955FOXM1CRAP/G955FXXU1CRAP
Download: https://mega.nz/#F!7wo3nJID!2BPhlHlXVLNOzoxF8Cwbcw (OXM multi-CSC FW)
How to install:
Download Odin
Extract Firmware ZIP, open Odin and load BL, AP, CP and CSC packages.
Put the phone into Download mode, connect it to PC and press Start.
This FW contains both, CSC and HOME_CSC packages. CSC will repartition your device and wipe all your data, HOME_CSC allows you to keep your data.
Troubleshooting:
Odin says "Fail!":
Make sure you have correct drivers installed, try using different cable or computer.
Storage shows only 16GB after the update:
Try doing factory reset or flash CSC instead of HOME_CSC to repartition the device.
This does NOT trip KNOX!
Or if you don't want to wait, I have created a bash script, which repacks the firmware for you:
GitHub: https://github.com/kernel-killer/sam-fw-tool
All you need to do is drop the script (repack.sh) to folder containing the firmware, open console and execute:
Code:
cd firmware/location && ./repack.sh
You might also need to fetch some prerequisites before running the script:
Code:
sudo apt-get install tar unzip liblz4-tool coreutils
The script is for bash on Linux but can be also run on Ubuntu on Windows 10 (Windows Subsystem for Linux) or Cygwin.

Thanks for the upload - about to flash it now.
What country/region is this firmware based on?
Pardon my potentially silly question - could I flash an XSA CSC file to make this more of an "Australian" release (for example HOME_CSC_XSA_G955FXSA1AQFE_CL11665648_QB13965623_REV00_user_low_ship.tar)

The firmware contains OXM multi-CSC, it does not matter which region it was meant for (but it was DBT) because all regions included in OXM receive identical firmware.
Generally, it is not recommended to mix parts of different firmwares and because G955FXSA1AQFE was CSC for Nougat, it cannot be guaranteed, that it will work, however, if it worked with CRAP, it should work with CRB7, too.
can i use this on my phone model?
