I have a thor pro. I tried to root it, but it was unsuccesfully. I used. Kingoroot, Kingroot, 360 root, Oneclick root, and root genius, but they didnt work.
I asked to Zeblaze, but they said they will not provide any info about how to root the device.
Any suggestion?
Regards
there is a lot of video in youtube using MTK SP flash tool,how to do a backup,custom recovery patch and how to root using SUper su.
you can use different twrp recovery with watches with same hardware and software and try with SP flash tool,but always do a backup first.
is possible root installing Magisk via TWRP... i successfully do this on "Zeblaze Thor 4", but i think also work for others Thor for what is TWRP available:

Apa bisa untuk zeblaze thor 4 dual?

Since the stock 5.1.1 was released

https://www.dropbox.com/s/wjpsa77tceastir/Root_SM_G800H_DS_511_Required%20Files.zip?dl=0
Installation sequence:
1) Enter the download mode and install firmware 5.1.1 through Odin. To reboot and enter the Lollipop everything is working;
2) Again in download mode, install the modified kernel (Kernel.tar) via Odin (use AP or PDA, depending on the version of Odin) and reboot;
3) Again in download mode, install TWRP via Odin and reboot;
4) Save "BETA-SuperSU-v2.50.zip" to SDCARD (internal or external);
5) Reboot into Recovery mode (TWRP) and install "BETA-SuperSU-v2.50.zip";
6) Restart and will be with root.
Note: Those who do not allow write to the SDCARD with Lollipop 5.1.1, install the program " FolderMount" after root and run the first time he will ask to start and fix this problem
Also if you lost your SIM and WiFi after updating to 5.1.1 try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s5-mini/general/sim-wifi-fix-aftar-lollipop-update-t3224352
Big thanx to Blue cat and @falcaobr i just shared thir effort
And sorry for my bad English
Happy rooting : )
ITS HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO UNINSTALL KNOX AND HIS FRIENDS AFTER ROOTING SO YOU WONT HAVE ANY PROBLEMS IN THE FUTURE INCLUDING THE BOOTLOOP ISSUE THAT SOME USERS REPORTS

You don't need any custom kernel if you install TWRP and flash SuperSU directly! After flashing TWRP your warranty counter was tripped!
Negative! I beg to differ friend, I have tested before with the original kernel and TWRP but not working. You can only root with the same kernel modified.

I rooted many many ROMs since Android 4.0 and I have never needed a custom kernel for that! And why is here a Beta version of SuperSU linked? My Note Pro 12.2 with 5.0.2 ROM needs also no custom kernel! Simple TWRP and a RELEASED SuperSu Zip!
What do you mean with "not working"? Details please.
Btw. here you can find the link for the official released version of Chainfire's SuperSU: http://download.chainfire.eu/supersu

on 5.1.1 installing SU without a custom kernel will cause an infinity boot screen
i tried it on the s6 and the s5 mini
On my Note Pro 12.2 this is not a problem (with CM12.1 and Pac ROM), also on my HTC One mini 2. Did you used your Beta version or the official Release?

I forget to mention that only TW roms required a kernel to get a working SU
if you dont believe me go and try it yourself and you'll have an infinity boot screen : )
as for SU only 2.50 support TW 5.1.1
theres a new beta 3.10 as i remember for android 6.0
I worked over a half year with SU 2.46 on 5.1.1 (CM12.1 on my Note Pro 12.2)! What do you mean with "TW ROMs"? And no, i don't try it, because I need my warranty on my phone. I have a rooted Note Pro 12.2, thats enough and it is only rooted, because I have to change the resolution and DPI to use it with a external Full-HD monitor.

TW roms=Touchwiz=Samsung stock roms
as for cm12 it has a built in custome kernel so SU works
and calm down ._. nothing to be angry for .-.
But 2.46 works on 5.1.1! Don't use Betas if you don't know what you do and do not post it as Guide for users that not have the needed knowledge!

Ok, so if I want to take root in S5 Mini, I need to set up a modified kernel and a recovery, right?
And if I want to go back to the original kernel and recovery, I can do this? And back to the KitKat?
Thanks for the guide!
(OBS: My English is not very good.)
[pt-br]
Ok, para eu quiser fazer root no S5 Mini preciso instalar uma kernel e uma recovery modificada certo?
Caso queira voltar para a kernel e a recovery original, eu possível fazer isso? E voltar para o Kitkat?
Obrigado!

Hello,
I've been trying to root my Huawei P8 on Android 6.0 and EMUI 4.0.3 on Build B337 (GRA-L09C33B337)
The problem is that I cannot find a root guide for EMUI 4.0.3, the closest guide I can find is for 4.0.1 and I have no idea if it will work smoothly or not. Could someone tell me if this guide (hidden link below) is going to work? If not, is there any working guide out there?
Thank you

Yes, works perfectly, if you follow the instructions EXACTLY and use the latest TWRP and Super SU.
I used method A) Rooting in systemless Mode (by maintaining the original Stock-Kernel).

Thank you, it worked. I have a problem though, my Lastpass app stopped working, re-installing doesn't change a thing. What could be the issue?
I'm hoping to root this 10.1" Galaxy Tab A 2016 model (aka SM-T580) which is running android Oreo 8.1. I can't seem to find a guide that says it will work on these tablets which are running 8.1. So can someone can either guide me themselves or link me somewhere that can. Preferably a no PC method. But methods that do require a PC are fine too. I'm familiar with ODIN as well as Android Fastboot etc.
I found this method but it doesn't specify if it will work on Oreo 8.1 or not -

I made THIS little guide after rooting my T585 running Oreo end of last year. Your T580 is basically the same (just without LTE), you simply need to replace any gtaxllte downloads with the gtaxlwifi versions. :good:
I have since then updated to Pie custom roms and everything is still running fine
Good luck :fingers-crossed:
Is there way to root this tablet without having to flash TWRP?

I guess if you installed the Magisk Manager app it might be able to root your boot image ... you'd have to extract it, let Magisk patch it and then flash it via adb.
Just a guess though, I didn't try it on this device. Flashing Magisk through TWRP is so much easier :angel:
Rooting SM-T580 or T585

Apparently not. Methods vary according to which version of Android you have. I think eveyone has 8.1 by now, and I'll assume you have it also. So far, the following is the easiest method to follow. Here's the tutorial from You Tube that I know works. You can use Magisk 18 (which I have provided) or 18.1, both work for the device.

That's not even the current version - 19.3 is and can be downloaded via the original Magisk thread.

Have you rooted your device? I don't know if the 19.1 version works. I know the 18.0 and 18.1 do. Try it with the version 19 and let us know.

My devices are all running 19.3 and doing fine - phone, SM-T585 and my TV box :good:
I bought Zeblaze thor 5 and after update OTA firmware my fitness aplications not work anymore, not recognize gps tracking and mileage when running or bike ride.
I dont know why, maybe some permission.
Gps with google maps work either well.
Where I can download old firmware or some custom rom maybe for Zenblaze thor 5.
Cheers Guys!!!
Well in the middle time I got stock firmware for Zeblaze thor 5 from [email protected] .
Here it is the link in rar file with all instructions:
mirrorace.com/m/2TGn3
or
openload.co/f/Y8IE9gy0UW0/Thor_5_fimware_upgrade.zip
or
upload.ac/ihnt8z2wqbq2
or
nitroflare.com/view/45C652DE4C47B36/Thor_5_fimware_upgrade.zip
That ROM is android 7.1.1 with OTA support original zeblaze.
If you brick the firmware ,than you can unbrick with this ROM.
I hope some developer will made better custom ROM for this awesome smartwach and TWRP will be nice way to go.

TB-8304F1 Tab 8 - Stuck on Android 7.0
Hi, apologies if this isn't the correct way to do this.
I too have a Lenovo Tab E8 which I just purchased and found I cannot upgrade it beyond 7.0
Details are:
Model : TB-8304F
Kernel: 3.18.35
Build: TB-8304F_S000030_190227_ROW
Does anyone know if there is a way to update this to a later version of Android. I have never rooted any of my android devices so this will be new to me.
Thanks, Shane
No, there are no available roms for this device so operating system cannot be updated beyond 7.
The only thing possible is to temporarily root (which resets after each reboot) and install some apps with root access. SetCpu did not work for me to increase speed

I found a way to root this tablet booted root. However it will tell you it has a red state when you turn it on and stall your boot by 5 sec. NOTE: If you would like to obtain your own boot image from your tablet to feel safer Follow this Post...
