Hello,
I flashed nougat rom then tried to revert back to MM rom and lost the IMEI and now the bootloader is updated to a new version with january 2018 security patch. So now I cant perform downgrade as it doesn't fix the IMEI.
I tried blank flash and many other ways possible but either the device is not detected and even if I manage to install the qualcomm HS USB drivers still it install the driver efficiently and RSD Lite doesnt detect anything in anyway.
I did the twrp backup but its of no use as restoring doesnt fix the IMEI and still shows 0. So I was wondering if I can edit the boot.img and other files to revert to stock marshmallow by updating bootloader info and files. Please help if its possible. Somehow it seems possible through QPST but the driver configuration plus I dont have the qcn backup. And I dont know much about QPST for this variant.
So kindly help

Please help. I have k4 note A7010a48 which has 16GB and 3GB updated to S219. I had rooted my device with TWRP and SuperSU 2.78. I wanted to update my device to latest version which is s232. Hence after suggestion and searching through the internet, i recently flashed stock recovery.img whose size was 13MB via SP Flash Tool. Now my phone is constantly going through boot loop. though i am able to go to stock recovery i dont have any idea how to remove my boot loop. i tired searching in XDA forums too but i could only see that it has stock rom of A7010 only. please help. My computer's OS is windows 10. if it may help. also i think that the drivers that i have for this device isnt functioning properly. i have a TWRP backup of my phone also. i would be very grateful if anyone could kindly help me get through this mess.
flash it with spflashtool to the current official rom, should fix your device, though it might erase your imei numbers which you'll need to restore incase that happens...
good luck!
I'm hoping someone can help out or point me in the right direction. I'm new to the Huawei environment.
My Rogers P10 Plus is currently on firmware VKY-L09C654B195. My bootloader is unlocked, I have TWRP installed, and I'm rooted (using this method - https://forum.xda-developers.com/p10-plus/development/root-huawei-p10-plus-vky-y-dm-verity-t3605061)
1) I've been getting notifications that there's a new system update, VKY-L09C654B198. I tried updating once and it obviously failed as it just rebooted into TWRP and nothing happened. Apparently I've read that I can't just update this way. I've searched the forum and seen various methods of updating (dload, HWOTA,...) but I can't seem to find this VKY-L09C654B198 file anywhere to manually download. How do I update my phone? Or better question, is it even worth my trouble to do this update?
2) I understand that DATA backup with TWRP is currently not working. Am I safe in assuming that doing a SYSTEM backup with TWRP, and backing up my apps and DATA with TitaniumBackup is sufficient if I end up messing up a firmware update?
if you want latest firmware from Huawei you would need it's original boot loader and non-root device :/ So so far you won't be able to get B198 atm since of no one has shared a copy of it. If you did it would require a re-root since updating the device would revoke the rooted changes. Which I mean root access will be lost.

Any Luck. I need a twrp backup of VKY-L09C654B198. I wanted to install the Magisck custom rom and it failed. No my twrp says no OS installed and I rebooted into bootloader. I tried to restore with DC Phoenix, now my Serial number is 0123456789ABCDEF and I can't boot into twrp as the unlock code generated earlier no Longer works. If I use dc HCU tool to restore the serial number, I will need the twrp backup to restore my p10 Plus.

Sorry, I haven't been able to find anything to help with my issues. But it isn't really a big deal for me as it wasn't really a high priority. Sorry to hear about the trouble you've run into.

Care to share the update file? I might want to try going back to stock.
Dear Seniors.
I am facing great hardship because my phone is stuck at boot logo.
No booting in recovery mode to flash another rom.
I did unlock bootloader of it by using tuliptool with success. After that i flashed custom rom in it. after reboot it is happening that.
Please suggest to recover it.
Did you flash twrp after unlocking? Did you make backup of stock ROM? Perhaps find a version of the factory firmware and flash that.

Now my phone is running android 6.0.1 B02

In easy words......... my recovery.img has been corrupted. I have no idea to get rid of this situation.
I planned to unlock my Mini's bootloader this weekend. After reading this post, I decided to act later until the root cause has been figured out.

Several people myself included have been able to use tuliptool to successfully unlock and root the device.
mine is hard bricked too. but I think it is worse than the case listed on the op.
if you want to hard bricked these are the steps:
follow the procedure to install the Spanish ROM 6.1, than another android m b12, than finally the android seven......use tulip tool and install twpr fine, root ect. amazing ROM.......buuuuut......I lost my IMEI somewhere in this process, and the original FTM which had a small menu changes to another static one, without the menu.
I needed this menu to open the com port to fix the IMEI. than I had the brilliant idea to re-flash android M via twrp (without modifying the zip file to remove the recovery, something I knew so well from the older axon mini).
results:
-lost twpr because the stock ROM wrote over it,
-cannot boot the OS because I flashed android m but the phone had the aboot 7.
-i now have a brick
I need a genious to sujest something to bring it back to life........sh....t...sh...t.....sh...t
any chances I could inject aboot7 via ADB through my dead recovery which somehow the phone recognises? ADB shell still seems to be working
thanks
Hi
I got my self in quite a pickle here..
so advice or help is very welcomed.
I own a Huawei P10 lite,
with a software version WAS-LX1AC900B049
First off I unlocked the phone, then flashed TWRP recovery, and thus far everything was ok
I wanted to install Lineage 14.1 OS, and I failed because my version of the phone is not supported..
but during attempt installation of Lineage OS , I deleted data, system, dalvik, and cashe..
I did not make a backup!!! (major mistake, I know..)
so effectively I deleted my OS :-/ ..
but it isn’t over jet..
because I could not find a stock rom, namely WAS-LX1AC900B049 version
I thought of debranding my phone to Orange, namely WAS-LX1AC109B110 because stock roms for Orange are available on the net.
so.. using TWRP I replaced oeminfo file..
(this time making a backup of oeminfo)
but once I downloaded Orange stock rom, put it on the
sdcard in /dload folder and entered download mode on the phone, nothing happened, update failed
but.. also changing oeminfo resets the system so I guess that turned off USB debugging..
so now the TWRP is not available because of the system reset, and in the fastboot and rescue mode , adb program from Windows, does not detect device..
so..
it seems I have 3 options..
1. somehow install Orange stock rom
2. make fastboot and rescue mode to work properly so I can reinstall TWRP and go further from there
3. find original stock rom WAS-LX1AC900B049, may be it will work
by the way erecovery does not work, it conects to the wifi, starts serching, and then fails
Help please..
I unbricked the phone
for anyone interested I used adb to unlock the phone in fastboot and rescue mode..
the phone was showing me a message that it was unlocked but it was not
once unlocked previously installed TWRP booted immediately, so from there I installed Lineage 14.1 by HassanMirza01 and it works great
Happy that you fixed your problem but how did adb detected your device as you mentioned it didn't at the first place?
Planning on going back to stock and I think the same trouble would happen for me too.
oH MY GOD!

YOU DID AS EXACTELLY AS ME ...HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH and now im still tryiong to find it solutution ...have you found some?
While trying to install treble, i corrupted my partition. then i went to a service center but when they flashed August 7.1 build it started rebooting after 60s, i fixed that with a persist image. But i lost my imei. So i went again to center, then they flashed oreo 8.0 with January security patch. and there is no imei too. after that i tried to install non treble custom rom and Final RR works. but if i flash nougat and oreo through edl mode it doesn't boot and got stucked into bootloop. The problem is i can't use my phone after flashing with edl mode, but when i flash custom recovery and flash 8.1 RR it boots with no imei. whats the problem? any one can help me? Thanks. i need my phone badly. i also tried 8.1 fastboot images through edl no luck only bootloop.
Look, you trebalized the device, so I think you have to de-trebalize and then flash any stock ROM. There should be tutorial in Guides amd discussion section
Talking about IMEI - if you know your IMEI (it could be on the box of the phone), you can flash your imei, there is tool on the internet, but sadly I dont remember the name of it.
PS: Flashing IMEI is illegal!
