[Q] Odin possible for non-dev devices?

Since I'm rooted now, I'm also worried now (about bricking the phone). Is there an odin option for us? I see one for the dev edition but not for the non-dev. Thanks in advance!

I downloaded the stock firmware for my Verizon GS5 and used Odin to flash it back to stock last night. Then I loaded my apps and backups and then rooted.

Yeah, I'm sure flashing a stock ROM would work fine. It's unlocking the bootloader and being able to flash custom/AOSP roms that I'm looking forward to. :silly:

Here is the link I used to download the file. I had to sign up for an account on the site, but I was assured the site was legit and the file did work to Odin my Verizon Samsung Galaxy S5 back to stock.

BTW, this is only for the Verizon non-dev Samsung Galaxy S5 phone.

Your best bet would be to flash a T-Mobile rom. I've tested some of the 6.0.1 roms and couldn't get data working but the 5.1.1 roms should work fine.

Which 6.01 Roms would boot for you?
Echoerom and Dr Ketan (with Vitamin kernel and M3 fix). Neither will get data with Verizon or T-Mobile. You'll have to flash a 5.1.1 rom. If you want 6.0.1, CM13 is the only working option right now.

I haven't updated once, yet. I'm still holding out for root.
Went to the Samsung booth at Best Buy & the Samsung rep said that even with his software, he cant downgrade firmware for me.

Possible root?

This method is for the chinse version of our phones... but i figured they are snapdragon so there components are their same? I know tmobile and sprint have the same parts and everything so maybe this will work. Its a recovery file and i will be trying it as soon as possible.
