What's the difference btwn GZR gapps and open gapps....
I have googled everything and get nothing...
After searching there is a new gapps confused me i.e., bean gapps
Please give me a clarity of these all gapps mainly GZR and opene gapps...
And also which gapps are better...?
GZR gapps is ground zero roms gapps. Some custom roms prefer gzr gapps than opengapps. The required gapps will be mentioned in the op of corresponding roms
As @william.johhn7! said....
GZR are Ground zero gapps.
Bean Gapps are also there.
As far as I understand they have difference in package building method which I don't know if affects the quality or performance much.
Open Gapps are mostly used but sometimes there are also some devs who tell you to flash specific gapps but even still I have flashed Open Gapps without any problem.
As for which Gapps are better It depends on your preference if you like all apps from google in your device or not. I always use Pico Gapps because we can always install any gapp we need from play store. And sometimes stock gapps can cause problems too which never happened with me btw.
And finally there is also another gapps called "Micro Gapps" which are not the Micro Open Gapps but something else. "Micro Gapps" doesn't have Any app of google. Not even play store. Basically It stared as a thought "Let's free pure Android form Google's bloatwares" As far as I know they will only sync your contacts from google nothing else will be there.

I've got AOKP 8/15 flashed and it works fine without gapps, but any gapps package I flash boots into recovery every single time. Is there a special set of gapps I should be using? (Formula 84's custom gapps allow the rom to start, but certain features force close)
Also, yes, it's the grouper aokp, I clean flashed, and I've tried all the quick fixes.
When I attempt to install the PA gapps, it "succeeds" but when I restart into both Alpha 1 and 2, I have none of the gapps in the stock package. I am using the zip that @TKruzze provided for 5.0.1, but Alphas 1 and 2 are 5.0.2. Would this cause the gapps not to show up? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
EDIT: It appears I was flashing things in the wrong order: I flashed gapps and then ROM (it's been a while ^^'), and also the gapps package was too large for my tiny Nexus 7's system partition.
I made a root in my Nexus 4 and installed the latest CyanogenMod for my device (cm 13.0-20160320-NIGHTLY mako) But have no doubt in which GAPPS install on my machine, I tried to stock but gave error 70. I wish tell me what the best GAPPS install, so you have no error with my aparelho.Instalei peak but would like to know better.:good:
You can flash any arm gapps made for mm.
http://opengapps.org
how to do it actually the flash thing of gapps
Copy the gapps file to the phone's internal memory and flash the gapps file using twrp. Don't unzip the gapps file before flashing.
I had CM13 on my Nexus 4, which worked ok.
I updated my Nexus 4 from CM 13 to CM 14.1 ( Google 7.1 base)., an overwrite update. The phone is sane but not surprising the Google Apps including the playstore are dying. I assume I need to update the exisiting Gapps to 7.1 and further assume the OpenGapps 7.1 arm stock is the right one.
The Gapps 7.1 installer terminates for insufficient space. The Nexus 4 has a 828MB system partition with 237MB availalble. Although the log shows no existing Gapps, it finds about 180MB of items to remove but is still 481MB short of being able to do the installs.
I've tried excluding as much as I can in the Gapps flash, but I'm still about 280MB short. Is there anything I can do other than wiping the phone, repartitioning and starting CM14.1 from scratch?
OpenGApps Stock package is way too big for a successful install, use Pico one. Restore your CM13 backup (assuming you made one) and flash CM14.1 nightly and Gapps both at the same go without rebooting the device. In case you didn't made the backup, factory reset is needed before flashing.

Thanks!
Actually since I didn't have a CM13 backup I just went and flashed pico on my CM14.1. It seems to have worked and solved the problem.
I also added GEL via the play store and have OK GOOGLE working too., as well as Google Calender and Youtube. I don't know what else I use that pico left out. I don't use the Google branded media and game apps.
Hi folks,
My dream is to have a minimal ROM installed, like Havoc OS without Gapps, but to able to install the minimal GAPPS to run Google Maps.
I tried HavocOS with MagisGapps, stuck at boot. BITGapps fails with sideload/package.zip (status 1), Nikgapps OMNI does not work.
Any recommendation how should I do?
And what is needed to run Maps btw? Because I tried with core Nikgapps and I installed Maps from Play Store, but it does not work.
Did you try MindTheGapps? Run this with Lineage and you will have the smallest ROM possible.

You can use any rom you like. Remove anything google related or dont install any gapps and use microG instead.
