Back story dropped phone last week onto carpet, no cracks or shattered glass phone had a tempered glass screen protector and case, screen stops displaying images phone is working however.
Get screen replaced upon initial boot the phone hangs on LOS boot animation, enter recovery perform factory reset all is well for the rest of the night. The following morning I turn the screen on with the home button after a few seconds the screen goes black, back light is visible along with the buttons at the bottom of the phone, the phone is working I can hear emails coming in.
Is there a chance LOS is not playing nice with the new screen or could another piece of hardware have been damage?

I dropped my S4 the other day and cracked the glass but it continued to work. A few days later I picked the phone up and hit the side button to bring up the display and now all I get is a flash and the screen remains black. Rebooted, pulled battery and still does the same. You can still hear emails coming in and when I get a phone call I can swipe the screen and take the call but it remains black. The only thing that lights up is the led and the menu and back button. I took it apart looking for a loose cable but saw none. Any ideas? New digitizer?

Hello,
My wife dropped her Galaxy S5 this morning from waist height, face down on a wooden floor.
There is no apparent damage at all (no scratches on the screen or on the sides), but the screen was staying off after that.
The rest of the phone is still working fine.
I advised her to try applying a little bit of pressure on different parts of the screen as I thought it might have been "disconnected" or "unplugged" during the fall (not making contact anymore).
When she did, the screen turned on, but when she stops pressing on the screen, it turns off again (though sometimes, it stays on for a few minutes and she can use it normally).
Should we send it in for repair or is it easily fixable (applying a bit more pressure?).
Thanks in advance!
So my son got the tablet wet. I let it dry out for a few days then turned it on. Everything seemed fine. It went to home screen but the touchscreen was unresponsive. After about ten second's the screen went negative kinda then blank. It still vibrates and makes noise from notifications and volume buttons. But the screen will not work. Is there a screen replacement I can buy and would that work to fix my problem? If so is there also a video on how to do so? Thank you
So I was watching a video on my Huawei Nexus 6p GOLD 64 gb, and suddenly I get a black screen. Everything's working fine. I can still unlock the phone and I hear the touch sounds and the fingerprint scanner is working but the screen is black. I've only had the phone for two months now. I have a case and tempered glass on the device and I've never dropped it or exposed it to harsh conditions. So what could be the problem?
P.S This happened twice to me today and the phone goes back to normal but it has a pink vertical line from the top to the bottom of the screen on the right side. When the screen goes black anything I try to do with the phone I get a half white screen flicker and the left side would show me the normal screen sometimes.
Thanks in advance.
Looks like a dying AMOLED panel. I guess you'll have to get it serviced.
Hi. I had done a successful repair of the screen on my Nokia 6, not to long ago. However my screen was being lifted away from the phone by the case. So the screen was pushed back down back into the phone, and it was lifting again. However I got this weird effect on the screen (attached photo). It seems to fade in white... I can still use and see Android. Any suggestions?
Here is the photo
The screen is broken.
