New Update via OTA - B310
Updated from B308.
I just hit check for updates in settings and my tablet pulled it. It doesn't say in the notes, but I hope this fixes the Bluetooth/wifi issues. It seems bigger than just a security update, but you never know. Well I'm off to reboot now and see.

No fix for Bluetooth/wifi on this update. Bluetooth off, the tablet speed tests great. As soon as Bluetooth is on and connected to my headset, it tanks to almost nothing. One test I was showing 0.17Mbps down on a 200Mbps service.

It doesn't work for me. It said that its not authorized for this installation or something like this. IMEI check said the firmware is not approved for installation.
Doesn't work for me either. @ahent this update is not for BTW-W09, only BTV-DL09 (4G version).

I just updated this via FirmwareFinder proxy method on my DL09C100 (European LTE version) coming from B307. Worked like a charm. Without FirmwareFinder the update was not shown. Nice to have security patch level February 2018!
Worked for me too, updated to B308

Same here, also coming from B307. Worked fine with Firmware Finder although it didn't show up without it. Finally a rather current security patch level. I really love my M3 and am glad that I can use it safely for longer now.

Hi, can you explain how you did it? The update shows in FirmwareFinder, but it seems the Proxy and DNS methods have stopped working.
I have seen instructions on how to download the files and install them in case the bootloader is unlocked. But is there any way to install it with locked bootloader?
Update came via OTA. I didn't use Firmware Finder.

Hmm, ok. That means I won't get it for another year (not kidding, I have no idea what Huawei does with rolling out updates).
Edit: Great, I could install it via FirmwareFinder with the DNS-Auto (VPN) method. The proxy method, which I had used for previous updates, had not worked.
Security updates are now included until 1st of June 2018. I am positively surprised that Huawei is still releasing security patches.

I updated my M3 lately with Firmware Finder with the DNS-Auto (VPN) method - one of the latest updates there (2018.06.09 BTV-DL09C100B310 OTA-MF 216 MB), was accepted for my device.
After the installation of this version the battery is drained a lot faster.

arrrgh. laziness.
I am sideloading the original FW ver. 2.19.40.18 (1.15GB) now. So now it is unrooted. Then update to .20 then to .22, then root again. What a waste of time. Should have unrooted first. haha.

Yup. Something like that.
In order to fix mine and bring back alive.
1. Download the latest FW for the ZE551 from the Zenfone 2 support page of Asus India.
2. Install TWRP
3. Format /system and /data via TWRP
4. Flash the latest firmware .20 downloaded above.
Back in business. Bootloader still unlocked. I will try to update to .22 later. Hope everything goes well or else back to square one.
I found the update summary on asus Chinese site. Translating it into English:
1. The United States and Canada software get new security feature Kill switch
2. Improve India's 3G signal data Capability
3. Fix Thailand Provider True SIM1 not able to make call

Looks like B225 not released worldwide. My Chinese Mate 9 in Pakistan doesnt offer the update, yet.

Authorization always fails for me on new firmware via FF.
For HiCare, ensure you use Service >> Update. If you just go to Member >> Check for Updates I don't think it will work.

Looks to be a minor update, but at least they're still thinking about us
States EMUI version 5.0.1
Android version 7.0
Android security patch level August 5, 2017
So far, the main change I have noticed is the addition of a "Moving Picture" mode to the camera app, which is similar to the Live Photos you would find on iOS.
Also, it seems they have added an automatic video creation "Highlights" feature to the Gallery app, utilizing Quik video editor. Not sure if this was already included in previous versions.

Got this update notification on my FRD-L14 2 days ago and for some reason it keeps failing to install with error "failed to verify update package" i was initially rooted and had Magisk 14.0 installed. But i've reverted to stock recovery and boot image which i flashed using fastboot commands.. Can anyone help with the above or better still piont me in the thread on how to create a TWRP package so i can flash it.
I've even gone as far as flashing system.img from my backup B385 UPDATE.APP but still no luck.
I am using a FRD-L14 and currently on stock EMUI 7.0.
Thanks

U have stock recovery and boot right? Flash the recovery and boot image of B385 and then from recovery factory reset ur phone. After that try and see if u can update ur device. Also if u wish to lock ur bootloader then hit download latest full package.

Well I got the phone about a week ago and just activated my new tmo sim card last night to get cell service on it so I'm probably not the best judge of whether any performance changes occurred. Based on the change log I wasn't expecting much though.
FYI I'm still completely stock, locked bootloader for now if that made any difference in the delivery of the update.

Thanks for the explanation. This is the route I had to take. I have FRD-L04. I was on B385 with TWRP and Magisk 14.0. Unrooting and flashing boot.img and recovery.img from 385 did not help to install the new update. I keep getting the same error of Package failed. No matter what I seemed to try nothing worked.
So, this sucks, but, I factory reset. Then RE-locked bootloader. Then, I had to download *latest full package* otherwise I still received same error. But, now I am on B388 and i'm going to try flashing TWRP and installing Magisk now.
Live photos seems interesting. Pretty excited about that.
Question to anyone who got the update, any changes in battery life?
Any one tried the new updates ? they are available in Firmware finder .I think they are with latest security patch and also they mentioned :: "This update optimizes power consumption and improves system security with Google security patches" .

Once you get the notification for system update on your phone, it will automatically be available on Hisuite.
Make sure to back up user data before flashing any update as you may need to manually perform a factory reset before using the new update. I own an FRD-L14 US version and i am on the latest update for my model thanks to Huawei Pc suite. All other methods always fail after 5 - 10%.
To update using Hisuite, simply launch the PC software and click on update after properly connecting your phone. I have been referring to only the PC version as i can't vouch for the phone software.
NB: Don't forget to flash stock boot and recovery if you've modified your device prior to using Hisuite otherwise it'll fail after reboot to recovery.
Best of luck, Cheers!

thanks for awesome guide i will definetly try this:good::highfive:
You will get the OTA some weeks later. Until then, you will not be able to flash the update through any official means (like using HiSuite, TWRP, erecovery, etc.). If your bootloader is unlocked, try my "Flashing unapproved Firmwares" guide for Honor 8 in Guides section. It will work flawlessly.

sorry about the late reply, but yes 12hr battery global. for screen on time i get 4-5hrs usually, i just got this phone a few months ago as a FRD-L04. i rebranded because of how slow updates come out on the L04, which was my real only complaint with this phone. battery life is awesome and emui is sleek and nice compared to other OEM android roms.
i don't really care for much about SOT because my whole goal is to minimize that as much as possible. i use a moto 360 daily so most of my notifications are going to my watch and my phone stays in my pocket.
other than that, this update is just a security patch.
Does anybody now if an update is available for Chinese Mate 9? something showed up today in my HiCare app about EMUI 8 but cant downloaded because quota has been reached.

Have you checked firmware finder to see if you could just download or install it through there? That might be a possibility, I saw MHA-AL00 8.0.0.334 (C00) there so that might be the official update, if you check firmware access and it says approved for installation then it's the official update.

Yes i did, using MHA-AL00 and MHA-AL00C00 and none of them work. I can download the files but when i chec firmware access it says "not approved for installation". I wrote to the chinese support because of the HICare where you can see the quote of 20.000 but its always 0/20.000 i have tried every hour, hoping it will be reset and the quote will return to 20.000/20000 but nothing. Its a fake in my eyes. I guess they want to wait a few weeks/month before they release Oreo for the Mate 9 because to be honest, if Oreao would be available already for the Mate 9, there is no reason to buy the Mate 10, specially for those who have the MHA.AL00.

/EDIT

You'll have to install using HWOTA. Just flashing in TWRP won't do anything.

Bootloader will lock when you've finished installing, so no need to relock manually.
guess quota was reset, downloading it now
Can not add my google account or any account. sucks
/EDIT
OK managed it. Nice
It shows quota full for me. I have a L29 rebranded to AL00. How's the update situation for you guys.
finished update without any issues, kinda love it already but will give it couple of days to check performance and battery life, not sure if rebranded will take OTA updates

I just had minor issues with gogle but as usual, when i bought it there was not a single gogle app installed. But now everything works. Whats not so nice is that the yellow pages are the chinese ones, food delivery the same etc. The food will be cold until i have it in my hands
So youu guys got the updte through the quota system, not the system update way?

That's right, using Hi Care, couldn't be easier. I was a little upset because the context menu did not work but it was just because it had been reset to the default launcher. I use NOVA because i love to touch any app and a menu opens offering me: uninstall, remove, setup etc. That was the mayor reason to change to Nougat because i really loved Marshmallow. But now everything works fine, Gmail etc. I am happy. My wife is upset because she has the Samsung S8 and they will not release an update to OREO until it comes with the S9. I would never again buy me a Samsung mobile.
My google Play store did not work anymore, uninstall the one you have and use this one

works like a charm
I upgraded to oreo through hicare. When I checked for update , it said no limit.
