Recovery does not start anymore - Sony Xperia X Compact Questions & Answers

I need help.
When I switch on my X compact the led stays off, and I can't get access to recovery.
I flashed it again, same problem.
I also flashed the stock firmware, then the recovery again.
Same result.
Any Help?
THX
EDIT Sorry I did not press the right buttons. Now recovery works.

[Q] Recovery Boot loop, can't go into recovery or my ROM: standby maybe have answer

Greetings.
I am sure there is an answer on XDA but an hour of Googling has got me stumped. Please point me to the right answer.
Starting point
Rooted N900T, stock rom, stock recovery.
What I did
Installed ROM Manager
Told ROM Manager to install the latest CWM for my phone. Completed with no errors.
Tried to boot into recovery with the standard "hold power, vol down, and home" but I could never get into recovery. It would look like it would start to boot into recovery then it would reset and boot into the regular ROM.
Then I told ROM Manager to reboot me into recovery.
Then it went badly... I am stuck in a boot loop that continuously shows going into recovery, then samsung logo, then repeat.
I have pulled the battery, tried to go into download mode, tried connecting USB, tried Odin.
What I want is a working phone. I would like to back up the stock rom and go to CM12 nightlies but for now I will just take a working phone.
Please help,
David
think I found the answer at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2666432
At least I got out of the loop, not fixed but progress.
That worked, the only other piece of info you might need if someone else has this problem is that there is no PDA button on the latest version Odin, it is called AP

To get into recover turn off the phone then hold down the power button and volume down button at the same time, it will go to recovery just choose English.
I cant get mine to boot into recovery only fastboot... Any help?
Do as duquesa says and press the volume down button and power.
Hey guys,
Can anyone help me please. I had my phone rooted on 5.1.1, then I downloaded and updated it to Marshmallow with the official oneplus software. I also chose not to overwrite the recovery when I flashed it with TWRP. However, now the phone doesn't allow me to enter any recovery (stock or twrp). I have downloaded the toolbox and reflashed the recovery, also tried flashing the stock recovery but nothing is working. When attempting to boot into recovery through bootladder, absolutely nothing happens and it just stays stuck on that screen. If I attempt the manual method, then it stays stuck on the 1+ loading screen.
Thanks in advance.

LG V20 LS997 DirtySanta Root Help

I followed the tutorial and it worked perfectly the first time, but i flashed the deODEXd rom then. I wanted to go to stock so i went to twrp and flashed the stock rom and reflashed SuperSU, and now my phone is stuck at the LG bootlogo. I cannot get into recovery, the hardware buttons wont get into recovery and i do not have adb access. I have still have fastboot access. Can anyone assist? Thank you in advance.
Update: I figured out the issue. If anyone else is having a similar problem PM me. Thank you.

It was because i didnt install the stock rom and supersu at the same time, i booted into recovery by holding the VOL- and power until the screen turned on then let go of the power while still holding the VOL- then holding the power button again, that got me to the factory reset screen and i hit yes and that got me back into TWRP where i reinstalled the stock rom and supersu then rebooted

Tried to root, recovery flashed but didn't boot, now phone won't reboot.

Hey guys and gals, I decided to take my new PH-1 and root it after getting the latest OTA (this is an unlocked Sprint variant). I flashed the twrp for my build and there was an error, tried it again and the same error so I rebooted back into fastboot and it flashed but I didn't reboot into recovery. Flashed it again and booted into recovery but it was just a black screen as if the phone wasn't turned on. The closest I've gotten to recovery was the android laying down and it said "no command" but I forced a reboot at that point (I think I could have pressed up on the volume and pressed the power button to get to it from there but I haven't been able to get back to it).
I ended up flashing a modded boot image for root with Magisk 14.3 and that worked but I can't reboot my phone, it just goes to the blank screen like it isn't on and I can start it up again by holding the power button down for 15 sec. and it seems to function fine but I can't flash the OTA file to go back to complete stock or to go to the Oreo beta.
If anyone could give me some insight into this problem or a way of fixing it I would grateful, thank you.

No command - recovery

Hi. Having a issue with my girlfriends phone. Don't know what happened, but it got stuck in bootloop. So I did a Odin flash, phone had custom Rom before this.
Now it's stuck on bootloop, and some times ends up like pictured.
Can enter download mode, but not recovery. I guess this has something to do with it having twrp before I flash stock on Odin?
That no command screen is shown first when recovery is booted. You either have to wait a bit for it to show or need to play around with a combination of keys to unhide the recovery menu.
Also when you go back to stock firmware from custom Rom firmware you have to factory reset your phone to boot it up again.
Finally, after about 3 hours I finally got access to recovery menu. First time I could not make any selection, 2nd time I got to factory reset and wipe clean. Now it's booting normally!
Key combination
Hi, which key combination did you use to get access into recovery menu?
