further to my post about sound recorder:
I have done some more digging:
firstly the app is called speechrecorder I believe that its part of the standard android build:
com.android.speechrecorder
I just find it odd that it is being displayed when I go the manage apps section.
Any thoughts anyone?

How can a youtube link displayed in the browser be opened via the native youtube application, instead of the HTC flash player, wich is much more blurry and has lower resolution than the regular app?
I didn't read throgh the whole forum, but I tried to ask on other sites, but didn't get response.
Please help!
Go to settings --> apps
Find HTC flash and clear the default settings for it. Then next time you open a link it should ask for your choice of app.
All guesswork, but seems the only way to do it.

HTC Flash Player has no defaults to it. Clear defaults button is gray.
The same goes with HTC Streaming Media.
What are you talkking about, cymru?
Hi guys,
I have a problem running Vegacomb 3.2 Build 9n Update3. When I have multiple video players installed, when I press on a video (either in gallery or OI file explorer), I do not get list of installed apps to choose from, but the screen is just dimmed (until I press back). Same when I installed Dolphin browser and clicked on link. With one browser/video player this doesn't happen. I was looking if there can be something cleared (like defaults) but couldnt find anything.
Thanks

Hey all!
Ok, so I am not able to post in the devs section until Iv made ten posts, so Im posting this "fix" over here.
I have been following XDA for a while since I got my SGS2 and have tried waaay to many ROMs! Ressurections ICS is a brilliant release, but i found that the camera would FC without notice everytime it was opened.
If anyone else is having the same issue, I figured it out:
Open up App manager (from app menu, menu button, manage apps).
Scroll to "Media Storage" app in the list.
Select it and then select force stop/close, and clear app data.
Now the camera should work!
I have no idea what it does to any other part of the phone or any photos etc that you might have in the gallery or on SD.
Anyway, thought I could be of some help
Look forward to being more active in this great community of awesome developers!

Agreed. Reported.
Also, if people want the official MIUI info they can go to official MIUI site.
Although I understand you want to be helpful. You are not developing MIUI simply announcing it? So I moved the thread to General.
Cheers

So with Call Recording working on all versions of the S4 using the WanamLite ROM I am wondering about how it could be taken further to more closely mimic the features of apps like Call Recorder.
I'm thinking of building some kind of app to run in the background which would automatically enable the record button at the beginning of each call, accounting for the fact that recording can't begin until the other line picks up. This app would also enable auto cleanup similar to Call Recorder.
Any ideas on this or methods to accomplish the same thing another way would be appreciated.

Well the question is about development techniques that could be used to write an app. I am a developer. Does that not make it appropriate for the developer forum?

hi, it would be great to have this implemented on the S4 like it was done on the S2 and the S3, directly in the phone settings.
here is the S3 thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2091959
maybe you could PM mythtrandyr to help you with it :fingers-crossed:

Nope. General discussions regarding what's to be developed is best discussed in the general section.
If you have something finished, post it here.
