File size: 83MB (it's recommended to download at home or where wifi is available)
Rename the file to update.zip, put it to the SD card.
If you're frustrated (like me) to have your nexus one updated to lastest Froyo version, give it a try.
I finally make mine (AWS variant) have FRF85B and enjoying slingplayer!
Instruction:
1. Press and hold the volume down rocker and power button till you see bootloader.
2. Choose recovery
3. When you see Android bot and triangle with exclamation mark, press both power and volume up rocker.
4. Choose apply update:sdcard and press the trackball.
Here is how to update Nexus One to FRF85B.
tipsneeded.com/update-nexus-one-to-frf85b/
So this is the full OS update,
can this be used to return stock if you root without unlock bootloader?
No luck with the manual update. Tried it twice. Down loaded the file, moved it to /sdcard and renamed it update.zip and also tried just "update" with no extension. When I rebooting using the instructions, I saw a message in the top box that said "preparing SD card" but then nothing happened after that.
Any ideas?
after loading the zip on the phone power off /
hold vol down + power/ hit power on bootloader then hit power on recovery/
at the screen with the red triangle hold vol up + power/
then do install update.zip/
wait like 5 mins and dont do anything , the phone will power itself off and like a couple of times
boom your done doesn't wipe but you might need to resetup widgets
Tried that too and still no luck. I know the file's in the right place, but whenever I power up, it's not goiing into the mode where I can choose recovery. It's basically booting up normally after it says "preparing SD card". Strange. I guess I'm stuck waiting on the OTA update from tmob.

Yes, can't get to fast boot. Saw instructions for holding up-volume + trackpad then powering on. Also saw instructions holding down volume than power on.
Neither gets me there.
happened to me also a couple times. take the battery out then put it in, hold down trackpad and press or hold power button while holding trackpad down and then choose bootloader and then recovery
ok. It was my mis-understanding of the directions. I wasn't holding the keys until fastboot menu came up. Got it now. Thanks
Do i unzip the file or leave it how i download the file and just rename it update
(Never Mind Figured it out my self)
You leave it zipped. It doesn't download to the /sdcard root, so you have to move it then rename it to update.zip. Initially, I left off the file extension, but it was expecting it so it failed. After I added back the .zip, it worked flawlessly.
My one mistate was not holding down the keys to get into Fastboot. I was just pressing them simultaneously, not holding. After figuring that out, it was all cool.
Hi,

I have decided to upgrade my Huawei U8800Pro stock ICS 4.0.3 to CyanogenMod 10.2 JB 4.3.
Quickly I realized that this is easily said than done. Tutorials I have found on the Internet are not good. They lead me to brick my phone twice during this process, so I've decided to share my experience with community. Here are step by step instructions:
Prerequisites:
I didn't bother to write any hyper-links, because they will probably be dead by the time you read this. Instead I wrote name of the files you can search in google.
Root_u8800pro.zip containing unlockbootloader_u8800pro.exe
AndroidHandsetUsbDriver_v1.zip containing DriverSetup.exe
gapps-jb-20130813-signed.zip
cm-10.2-20130929-U8800pro-VIDEOPLAYBACK.zip (here the ROM thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2409681)
recovery6.0.3.3.img (I recomend non touch version)
HUAWEI_U8800P_Android_2.3_V100R001C00B521_Oversea_Normal_05010TXB.zip, containing dload folder (link)
404029_4.0_BasebandCWM.zip
When you have all those in place, you can start with procedure:
Install USB drivers for your phone. Run DriverSetup.exe
Connect your phone to USB and wait to get detected. Then run unlockbootloader_u8800pro.exe (chose first button and wait).
Optionaly download Root Checker from Google Play to see if your phone was rooted. You can skip this step.
Copy dload folder to root of your SD card
Unplug USB cable and turn phone off
Press Volume up + Volume down + Power on at the same time. Hold them till you see that your phone started with firmware update procedure. Wait for procedure to finish. Now you should have stock GB 2.3 rom on your phone.
Turn off your phone
Press Volume up + Volume down + Power on at the same time, and wait till you see pink screen
Connect USB cable and wait till Windows detect your phone and show you image folder. Go to that folder and backup original recovery.img.
Copy recovery6.0.3.3.img to image folder and rename it to recovery.img
Turn off your phone
Press Volume up + Power on at the same time and hold till you see recovery console
Chose factory reset
Chose clear cache
Chose advanced/clear dalvik cache
Flash 404029_4.0_BasebandCWM.zip
Flash cm-10.2-20130929-U8800pro-VIDEOPLAYBACK.zip
Flash gapps-jb-20130813-signed.zip
Reboot your phone
Wait till setup wizard of CynogenMod apears
If all went well you should have CyanogenMod upp and running on your phone.
I'm not responsible If you brick your phone. I did it twice before I finally succeeded .
How to unbrick u8800pro:
You can always get back to good old Android 2.3 folowing this procedure:
Copy dload folder from HUAWEI_U8800P_Android_2.3_V100R001C00B521_Oversea_ Normal_05010TXB.zip to the root of your SD card
Turn off your phone
Hold down Volume up + Volume down + Power on and let firmware update do it's job
List of useful key combinations:
Assuming your phone is turned off.
Go to pink screen Volume up + Volume down + Power on
Go to recovery console Volume up + Power on

i'm using u8800 pro.i installed CM10.2.but wifi is not working on my phone and gapps also not working.....pls help.....
I think many of us may not be aware as how to perform local update in honor 7 which has marshmallow installed on it. I have gone through it and understand how it feels when you download an update and while trying to find local update option update app. Its frustrating and discouraging too. But I could find the way to do it on some other site. Its simple and easy. Just see below.
How to Update
Unpack the firmware package on your computer.
Transfer the extracted dload folder to your phone’s microSD card.
Take a backup of your important stuff using Huawei’s native app.
Safely unplug the USB cable and turn your phone off.
Reboot while holding Vol Up + Vol down + Power for a few seconds. Release Power upon vibration.
Once the upgrade starts let go of the volume keys and allow the installation to proceed.
And enjoy
Would you like to thank me......Pl go ahead

OTA can also use this command ?
No, this code is only usable for local updates! (the update file has to be in folder `dload` at your ext sd card at first!
