Go in battery settings, battery optimization, choose the audio app and then dont optimaze. Disable advanced optimazation on battery settings too.
disabling battery optimization does not help

Which app are you using? Did you disable advanced optimazation?

There is currently an issue on all lollipop ROMs pertaining to headsets that do not have microphones. When such a headphone is plugged in it either triggers a continuous loop of Google search prompts or a multitude of random screen touches. If you use headphones or any 3.5mm compliant headphone jack device, you may want to flash this till it is fixed from source.

IT WORKED!!!!!! THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH !!!!:good::laugh::highfive:
Cheers, also, why didn't you put it in themes & apps?
Noob
Sorry but how is the easiest way to flash this zip.
If I try with the defaut recovery from Cyanogen it gives me the E:No signature E:Verification failed errors.
And this recovery does not have the option to disable this check.
If I install another recovery may I loose the auto update feature from Cyanogen?
Thanks!

Well I thought it being a fix and all, that it wouldn't classify as an app or theme.

You can use ES file explorer or winrar on your desktop to extract the file inside of the zip. After which you can use es file explorer to manually copy paste the file to your system partition and then assign appropriate permissions.

I had the issue where plugging the headphones in launched the google voice search, but with this fix the icons on the homescreen get a white square behind them (guessing it's touchscreen issues). Any work around for this?
This is great, thanks!
However, anyone else now having issues with the YouTube app's play/pause buttons and seekbar not disappearing in fullscreen, or is it just me?

Seems to be a general issue, I will look into it asap.

This should not happen, as this fixes both the Google voice issue as well as the white box issue. Are you using a headset with a mic or a standard headphone?

May I have the model of the headphones/3.5 mm compliant device you are using. Have you tried flashings newer version of your ROM and manually pushing the file, as I think the is theost likely issue.

This is re-creatable usually through pausing a video and changing the quality (to 720p or above?) and doesn't seem to happen when not using headphones. Apologies for the lack of specifics, it's a bit finicky. Have since flashed two newer nightlies and still present.
EDIT - this can be temporarily fixable by turning the screen off and on again a few times...

Yeah it can be fixed by turning off the screen but it seems to just show up again when you go to watch another video, anyway I am testing a fix and so far it seems to be OK, I will upload it if everything is good

Ah amazing! Thanks again for your hard work
So, anyone tried this or know if it's even necessary in CM12.1?
I must admit I've flashed this fix on the last few nightlies without checking first if the bug is still present as I've seen nothing about it in the CM changelog.
For anyone who cares, this is still necessary with CM12.1...

No, it's not. I used CM12.1 (RR 5.4.5) and a pair of headphones without a microphone and never had this issue.

It doesn't affect ALL headphones, it never has. Still affects my non-microphone Shures that work on stock, after a full wipe and fresh install of CM12.1.
I'm still unsure if this is necessary, I have still not flashed a stock lollipop ftf and have the need to use this on newer cm based firmware's. I shall flash Lollipop and verify whether it is necessary.
Hi,
I have installed the latests CM 14 by grarak.
Since yesterday i'm trying tu use Google Allo. But it makes loud and ugly noises whenever I send or receive chat massages.
I already tried to reinstall the app, did wipe the caches. But the sound remains.
Does anybody have an idea to look for the cause of this problem?
Thanks!

Wow, that was a quick answer! Thanks!
Do you have any idea what causes this sound glitch?
Am I the only one?
But may be with the next complete wipe it will be gone...
Believe me, all is fine with your phone-ROM-combi
These sound should be...
Go into settings and deactivate it

Me too have same problem.
Google Allo also does this on cm14+ roms on OnePlus One. I think that it's missing a sound file or something at the rom level.
me too,annoying
Same problem over here...

I had the same problems with cm. But now I'm on dirty unicorns without these problems
Same problem on RR ROM. Doesn't happen on stock ROM.

Has anyone tried the Pixel fingerprint sensor features on the a2017u?
Yup it works nicely. Using it to turn the screen off ?
Remember to disable power management policies on the app
I'm using it. Works good, I use it to pull the notifications down.
What about battery consumption ???

It has almost no impact on battery. Very well optimized app.
The newest Gravity Box update also includes fingerprint launcher functionality now for everyone who wants to have more possible options to choose from.
How does one go about installing this?

The OP in that link has a good instructional video on how to set it up and use it
Hello, quick question: How to pernamently disable Dolby Atmos function in Axon 7, because I noticed pretty high battery drain for a single app? I can;t ,,turn off" the app in setting, I am able only to ,,force stopping". The app isn't on a list of MiAssistant apps in ,,autorun menu". I am using A2017G, by the way.
Thanks for any response, really.

If you have root you can simply disable the app. but are you sure it causes that much battery drain? it literally doesn't even aplear on my app battery usage list
Maybe you can try deleting its data and see if it starts to behave

I do, and it is very annoying, it is also presented when writing with the keyboard, when recording a video and using the camera.

I do not know if it's a phone problem or not, but it does not make sense to think it's a phone problem because flickering only occurs in the circumstances I mentioned earlier.

By any chance you have the rootless Pixel launcher or SwiftKey keyboard?

No, I'm using "Gboard" and "launcher" that comes by default on the phone.
But in the same way the camera also blinks when using it.
I have the security patch for March.
I have noticed it too. And not just between switching apps. It happens while browsing media streaming apps also.
I booted my phone in safe mode and the problem was solved.
I still can't figure out which app is causing this.
