Can anyone confirm if the adaptive fast chargers from samsung activates the quickcharge on our G6?
Because those samsung chargers are cheap.

I've been using this Samsung charger almost everyday for a few months now, it works great
I didn't see any difference in charging time with the "official" LG charger.

Is the quick charge notification displayed? (batt level has to be below 80% to test it)

hey folks,
it's that never ending question i guess
i buyed that nice KIDIGI Dock for my dhd..it looks so pretty in it..and with the "Desk Clock" it adds a nice look to my desk.
so my question is, if its really that bad to keep it in there all the time. what about trickle charging? does usb support this?
i dont wanna damage my battery..
btw: when i get home, my battery is normally about 60% charged..if i put it in the dock whenever its on 60% it shouldnt damage it right? the memory effect can't happen on li-ion batterys compared to ni-cd ones i guess...
any tips?
how do you handle it?

ah btw: if you wanna have some pictures of the dhd in the dock, it's a pleasure to share them with you!
Li-ion battery does not have memory. They have a limited life time. Normally around 2 years. Whether you charge it or not, does not make a difference.
You can go read the boring details on Wikipedia.
ok thanks...so i think i'm gonna have that great look all the time
btw: this is it

sometimes it will chagge for a bit then it will start to drain again.
if its charged there is no battery drain
battery is physically in good condition
[also have a nother cable and 1a charger that used to charge the phone with the same issues]

does this still happen if you turn the screen off and charge?
It charges slow if at all the only 100% way to charge is to turn it off looks like it can't handle the power provided to it via the charger have also factory reset
Shameless bump had new battery wall wart and cable all genuine Samsung on warrenty still not quite right it now shows 1200mA how every just to prove me wrong in the store plugged into their charger and it showed consistent 1800mA can anyone with a s5 run the battery monitor and giv me some of the stats

Does anyone know what the two pins under the cover are for? They look like charging pins which means that wireless charging might be possible with a different back plate or a modification? The review on Forbes today suggests that.

They are only used in the China market running H2OS.
When plugged in the H2OS will adjust the theme of the phone to match the new cover style.

Reviving old thread for new random question.
We now know the 2 pins under the cover are for the H2O styleswap themes, but looking at a teardown of the OP2, is it possible that it could "tapped" into for wireless charging and/or NFC?

Goodday folks, So i have a 910F running stock android 5.0.2 i recently noticed that sometimes my battery charges really slow from 90% till 100% to measure charging current i download an app called battery monitor by 3c. The current seems to be normal however i noticed another weird issue that my phone continues to draw some power from charger even when the battery indicator is full with green led (the draw seems to be going down around 100ma when i took it off) . Im using stock fast charger and cable can anyone else confirm if this is normal or if i have a defective unit? Attaching a picture for reference. Thanks

it will draw power to keep the battery at 100%
and it's normal for the charging rate to go down a bit when almost full.
a battery produces more heat while charging when it's almost full, so they need to slow down the charging to reduce the heat production.
I received a faulty Tab A (soft brick) which I was able to fix, however it seems to charge very slow. I used 3 different chargers for a Samsung and Xiaomi mobiles and Asus tablet, all around 2-4a, but they all charged at the same rate. It took 5hrs to reach 94%. I left it on flight mode for the last 24hrs and it's only dropped 1% (which is amazing) so I'm sure it's not the battery at fault. If multiple chargers/cables are charging at the same rate and the battery loss is solid I'm guessing it could be the USB port. If not, what else could it be? I don't know the history of this tablet as they just dumped it on me.
Very shallow curve, it should be a lot steeper:

Hello, I own a T585 and I can tell you that this is very picky with loading ports.
I have a multi loader (Easyacc) and the Tab is only with 2.1 Ampere fast charging.
Not with 1.0 not with 2.4 not with more.
Reccomend you to use a similar charger or a original.
I didn't quite understand what you mean. So I have to use a 2.1a charger or original Tab A charger only? I found them in 5v and 12v, both for Tab A, which one is correct?
