I tried adding a wifi network which is availble in my office. Before it was working fine in my mobile. But suddenly i am unable to add wifi network . When i give all the required settings and give save option. it crashes immediately.

I'm having a problem with file explorer, it won't allow me to open network shares. when I put in a UNC path, it tries to connect to the 3G connection, and then tells me that it can't find the server (duh ). I have an active wifi connection, and it works fine for internet, and the weather app. I've even tried deleting the configs for the 3G and RogersMedia to force it to use wifi but then it gives me an error saying that it can't connect with it's current settings.
This is driving me up the wall, as the previous rom that I'd installed seemed to work just fine. I'm using the HTC Home version of this ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=452533
EDIT: Even tried using the ip of the machine that has the share and it tells me that the network path was not found, then a network resource error.

I installed android froyo v1.8 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=793924) on my HD2. I open it via HARET.exe .
Everything is working fine except the internet. When I turn on my Wifi it detects my router and even it says connected but when i try to do browsing nthhin happens. I have tried several other builds but the same problem presists. I have even tried my network data connection an it is also not working.
Please help me out in this matter.
Check your APN settings:
Settings, Wireless & network, Mobile networks, Access Point Names
Make sure your provider is selected and check the values against those on this page...

If you can't find anything suitable on that page then google for the APN settings for your provider in your country.
I tried but still it doesnt work! Can you tell me why i cannot browse over the internet via wifi. It says connected but when i try to open somthing, it says connection error.
I have the same problem but only with my contract internet, my wifi is working fine. My APN settings are wrong but i can't change them?

I think this should i ask you this. I set my "Preferred network type" as 3g (im using single sim only).
but problem is that when i try to connect mobile data, it works fine for the moment but when i disconnect and then when i try to connect after 1 hour or few hours later, it doesnt connect.
Then i have to select the Network manually and then it works again.
I mean all the time i have to select the network manually first to let mobile data be connected.
also, in the NETWORK OPERATORS, its still saying "choose a network operator" always even after selecting the network manually.
Any idea why it is happening so? coz its very awkward that before you want to connect mobile data, you need to select the network manually all the time.
Note:- WIFI is working fine.

I tried searching and couldn't find anything. The problem I have is that if I connect to a 'private' wifi network (no internet on the wifi network) I can no longer access any sort of public resources. It has been suggested to me that the 'fix' for this is to go into the developer options and set 'mobile data always active' to 'on' . However this doesn't work. Has anyone else had this issue? Is there a way to fix it?
No, not connecting to the wifi network isn't an option, and neither is 'disconnecting' when I need internet and then reconnecting afterwards. I really need to have my data served by the mobile network while also connected to a device via wifi.
This feature used to work fine while I had service with TMobile but now that I switched providers it doesn't work at all. My wifi connection works fine and I've even tried it at Starbucks and other places with public wifi and I still get the same error. Is there any way to wifi call on this phone?
Not every provider enables wifi calling, on some tariff itś possible but requires activation. So I would suggest first get in contact with your new provider. Also you could check your APN .
