Did you perform a hard reset?
When you did, then try to revert with Odin to Nougat.
If it's still there problem send it to be repaired under warranty.
I updated it with OTA update. will reset it now then see what happens .. tried another camera APP and the same happened

me too
The camera firmware is embedded in kernel. So, whenever you boot the device, it will take the latest revision of the firmware from the kernel.
The last thing you can try is to flash official Samsung firmware for your device and region with ODIN.
My camera also stopped focusing recently. I got it fixed by getting the camera module replaced.
Did anyone face the problem of heating after updating to nougat 7.0? I received official OTA update before 5 days.
After updating to it, once it strangely got high temperature.
And also it slows down for some of the app.
While charging, it slows down the speed of opening keyboard and apps.
It also takes time to open google photos after taking photos.
Before updating, there wasn't any problem like this.
Can anyone help me about this? Should i downgraded to marshmallow 6.0?
And if yes, then how can i downgraded to stock marshmallow given by moto?

Did you factory reset after updating.
If no, do a factory reset and then report bugs.
First people cry for updates and then they update they cry for bugs which do not even exist.
Hello sir,
I updated my moto to nougat and factory reset due to lagging. Now struck at initial setup wizard.
Its asking to enter email I'd but its not going further.
Any solution??????
You might want to reflash using fastboot and try again. I haven't had any heating issues after the updated. Initially it was slow but got faster the more it learned my usage pattern.
I am not able to download anything from the play store after i factory reset my Moto G4 Plus. Did every possible try but again facing the same problem.
rply ASAP

Have you updated to Nougat, and are you on roaming mobile data?
Model : G950U1 Samsung Galaxy S8
My camera doesn't work after update pie. There's almost no way I haven't tried. I touch the camera app and the black screen turns on and off in 2 seconds. When I touch the flashlight button, " Can't turn on flashlight because the light is being used by another app." the text comes out.
I tried some solutions on forums:
Clear camera app data and clear cache but not working.
Safe mode not working
Factory reset not working
Hard reset not working.
I changed software G950U1UES6DSI1 (android 9 on September) to G950U1UES6DSG1 (android 9 but old on July) not working.
Also;
My Samsung Galaxy S8 phone can't return to the old version. Because my software binary is 6 level how can do anything?
Same problem
I have exactly the same problem with my G950U.
I did everything said above to try to fix this but it's still the same.
However, I managed to recover the camera and flashlight with an earlier version of PIE but it didn't last. Before it defitively stop working, I had some problems with the front camera who forced camera stop sometimes.
My actual ROM is the last : G950USQSDSJ1
Please HELP US !!!!

Did you get any fix for it

I have acquired a used G6 H872 (T-Mobile). I have been unable to get it network unlocked so the phone is useless to me. I am looking to sell it but first I need to solve the camera issue.
When I first received it, the phone was on stock and the camera worked. I unlocked the bootloader, rooted it, and installed MSM Extended. The camera worked. After deciding to sell it I restored it to stock with LGUP/kdz. Now the camera opens but the screen is black. This is the second time I've encountered this with a T-Mobile G6. Why is this happening? And how do I fix it?
Thanks!

You need to flash stock Nougat, and camera will work. Arter that you can updrage to Oreo and then to Pie.

Thanks for the reply. I thought I can't go back to Nougat because of anti-rollback.
Doesn't matter anymore. Found a cheap service that unlocked the phone. Installed MSM Extended and camera works again.
I wonder what breaks the camera in the stock ROM, and why it works in custom ROM.

Since I now have two H872 G6's that have exhibited the same camera issue, I decided to try rolling back to Nougat. First, I was wrong - I was able to roll back.:good: Second, rolling back completely fixed the camera issue, in addition to the proximity sensor! :good::good: The only remaining issue with that particular phone is that the haptic feedback/vibration doesn't work.
