Issues after nougat update - Moto G4 Plus Questions & Answers

Did anyone face the problem of heating after updating to nougat 7.0? I received official OTA update before 5 days.
After updating to it, once it strangely got high temperature.
And also it slows down for some of the app.
While charging, it slows down the speed of opening keyboard and apps.
It also takes time to open google photos after taking photos.
Before updating, there wasn't any problem like this.
Can anyone help me about this? Should i downgraded to marshmallow 6.0?
And if yes, then how can i downgraded to stock marshmallow given by moto?

Did you factory reset after updating.
If no, do a factory reset and then report bugs.
First people cry for updates and then they update they cry for bugs which do not even exist.

Hello sir,
I updated my moto to nougat and factory reset due to lagging. Now struck at initial setup wizard.
Its asking to enter email I'd but its not going further.
Any solution??????

You might want to reflash using fastboot and try again. I haven't had any heating issues after the updated. Initially it was slow but got faster the more it learned my usage pattern.

I am not able to download anything from the play store after i factory reset my Moto G4 Plus. Did every possible try but again facing the same problem.
rply ASAP

ME572C getting Lollipop in TW, maybe US getting it soon?

So, if you look at Asus's website, they have released firmware TW_V12.14.1.9 and in the changelog it mentions that "the first boot time after upgrading to Android 5.0" will take 5 mins. So I think that release is Android 5.0. It was released on April 2, 2015 so maybe we can hope to receive an OTA update for WW_V12.14.1.9 sometime within the coming week? I sure hope so!!
do not update if important sound in the headphones, disappeared after updating bass.
Before getting root solution, it's not recommended to update it yet.
OTA released since 12PM CEST, i can confirm that the version of Lollipop is the 5.0.1 WW_V12.14.1.9 which is 779MB in size.
No problem since I updated my tablet except one notification telling me that one application is requesting a newer version of Google Play Services...
Did you have root on tablet before you upgraded the new firmware and if so did you still have root afterwards?

Nop, no root...
Update breaks root. Zenroot failed.

Moreover, you can't apply OTA if you have root AND SD patch applied. Tried to install OTA, but no dice (stumped on platform.xml which was modified).
Thinktank: can you pre-root the ROM and install?
Hi, I've made an OTA update yesterday from .31 rooted version to Lollipop and I've lost root as I've expected. Beside it, tablet is unusable - still cycling messages 'Unfortunately IndexService has stopped' and 'Unfortunately ContextProvider has stopped' . I have to do super-fast double click on these messages and then I have about 0,1 seconds to click some other item before the cycling messages appear again! With this annoying double-clicking process, I've been able to reach "settings" app and make another user account - cycling messages are gone, but when I want to use Chrome, message 'Unfortunately Chrome has stopped' appears and other browser don't work too (Dolphin, Asus Browser, Chrome Beta...).
I've made the factory reset, but messages 'Unfortunately IndexService has stopped' and 'Unfortunately ContextProvider has stopped' still appear and I can't even to pass welcome guide!!!
Tablet is now useless, downgrade doesn't work.
Looks like Asus pulled the Lollipop update for the ME572C from their site.
I checked both the U.S. and Taiwan support sites (www.asus.com/us/Tablets/ASUS_MeMO_Pad_7_ME572C/HelpDesk_Download/ and www.asus.com/tw/Tablets/ASUS_MeMO_Pad_7_ME572C/HelpDesk_Download/). The Lollipop 5.0.1 WW_V12.14.1.9 build that came out in early April 2015 is nowhere to be found.
I hope Asus is going back to fix reported issues and...hopefully...go straight to 5.1 or 5.1.1 with the next update soon.
I checked also and noticed it was pulled after only being posted for a brief time. That is odd. I actually haven't had any issues with mine since updating to the lollipop build and actually have noticed a remarkable inprovement in my tablet since the last update. Of course, I did have to sacrifice my root to go to lollipop, but I was only using root to delete alot of the bloatware since the stock KitKat was slow and stuttered alot when new. It's not like we have an unlocked bootloader to flash custom roms with, so as long as they can make the stock firmware fast and smooth, I'm content to use it. Although, wouldn't it be cool if they pulled it and were gonna release the next update as a 64 bit version to take advantage of the 64 bit processor?

Official Android 5.0 Lollipop. Should I update?

Hi all,
I got a notification on my G2 D802 to update to 5.0 lollipop a while ago but wondering if its safe to do so. I goggled it and found out that some people had some major issues with battery drain and bad wifi performance. Anyway I proceeded to download the LG PC suite to still give it a try however I got this message on startup. " Android 5.0 Lollipop guide
Date : 2014.11.27
For phone or tablet with Android 5.0 Lollipop or later,
phone or tablet will not back up or restore properly due to security on Android.
Refrain from use.
"
Now I am really thinking twice lol.. Can anyone shed some light on this? Is it safe to update? Can anyone did it before can advice me?
Q&A not dev section
Crap. Sorry didnt realize.
It's OK go and update it. But if you are happy with Kitkat then don't update it.
Even i was in same situation but then i went n tried updating using pc suit. Cudnt be successful as it started showing error while downloading multiple times.Any advice?

Nexus 6P - Oreo 991.4MB - notification - should i update?
Dear experts,
I would like to update Android Oreo which is appearing in my notification as Oreo 991.4MB. However I would not like to loose root after that.
What is the ideal way. Should i unroot do factory reset and then update oreo. Because How will i restore apps and data if phone is not rooted after update to Oreo?
Have been going through many threads but very confused.
Pls could somebody confirm that after update to Oreo Nexus6p can be rooted safely and that there are no major issues faced thereafter at least known?
Kindly reply.

Choose yourself. You can backup your apps with titanium backup app if you're are rooted. (download the app via playstore)
Oreo works fine, you can root with latest supersu or Magisk.
Good luck

Possible bootloop after rootless bloatware removal

Hi guys,
Has anyone already tried this https://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-edge/how-to/how-to-remove-oem-bloatware-s7-s7edge-t3739217 ? It is working on my bootloader locked and unrooted ze552kl, but removed app still on the list but with "not installed for this user" notification. I wonder if this would cause bootloop due to firmware update. I'm on 85 and it's unlikely there will be another android N but I believe android O update will be coming soon. Any thoughts?

I haven't tried this, but since none of your system partitions have been modified I would not expect you to encounter any issues with a firmware upgrade.
Hi guys, Oreo is official now ! Removed apps no longer enlisted, so you have to carefully take note of what have been removed in case you want to restore prior updating. Though I'm agree bootloop is quite unlikely using the method.

Strange. I had huge problems with speed on my G6 after upgrading from v20a to v20b but factory reset (which in fact is my second or third after upgrading to Oreo) solved it completely.
Don't your phone overheat or something like that?
