Hey everyone,
I have been using a G900F with LineageOS 14.1 for approximately 9 months now without any troubles and was able to install APKs just fine.
But suddenly, when I want to install in APK and click on it, the phone does not show me an option to "install" anymore, only to "open with Texteditor or OpenStreetMaps". I have tried differen APKs, checked that I still allow installation from unknown sources, there is enough free space left on the phone.
I have no idea what the trouble could be and I cannot find an answer online, because all I can find is that people need to turn off their screen dimmers. But I don't even get to the point where I see the option to install the APK.
It would be great if you could help me, because I really don't want to wipe everything and install LineageOS again.

It's been years since I've installed a custom ROM, so I'm rusty on the process and trying not to brick my phone. I have a Verizon Galaxy S5 running OptimalROM 13.1, and I want to upgrade to LineageOS (KLTE) 14.1. I went to this page and tried to follow the instructions:

However, it gave me errors just trying to prepare for the install using Heimdall, at step 5 where you're supposed to enter "heimdall print-pit". It tries to download something and fails. I don't have my usual assortment of microUSB cables so it is possible the one I'm using is suspect. It also occurs to me that the instructions could be assuming I'm upgrading from stock rather than another custom ROM.
Like I said, it's been ages since I've tried doing this, so I appreciate the help on these newbie-looking questions.

I am using LineageOS 14.1 for my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. I freshly installed it and flashed open_gapps-arm64-7.1-micro-20171225 afterwards. The problem is, that Excel and Word keeps crashing..
I am not able to start it for the first time. Am I missing something?

I flashed back to Stock and after the OS was running, I flashed TWRP again and installed LineageOS. This time I flashed Open GApps first, before the first restart. Maybe this was the error. It could be also possible that I removed my external storage and so Excel and Co. is working now.. IDK

I love this lineageos rom. Really nice rom & almost stable for my Oppo N3. I have a favor. Can you please fix some bugs in latest lineageos release 3.3.2018. Camera apps same as Gallery. Also can you add more option on root access in developer setting? For now root access have adb only. Please add more option root access for apps only, adb only & both. Thank dev, keep up in your working hard.

Thanks m8, but I tryed to fix this by reset the phone with the stock firmware, but now I don't have the WiFi and the Sim not detected error
It is easy to recover.. Your Nv ram file is damaged while flashing.
Steps
1- Get ur phone rooted
2- By using root explorer (I prefer ES file explorer) Delete the /nvram or /nvdata folder. (I advice you to keep a copy).
3- Wait for 10 sec. And restart your explorer. If your sim is detected then it's good . If still not then go to /nvdata/md/NVRAM/NVD_IMEI
4- Delete the MP0B_001 file.
5- Wait for 10 sec and reboot your phone.
Congratulations your sim will start working.

I have samsung galaxy s5 with lineage 15.1 oreo which i installed today, at first the the phone calls was good but after 3 hours when i try to call my friend there is no sound in both ways, but when i try to record an audio it works, when i try to call on facebook messenger it works, i don't know what the problem is, I tried many solutions, I change the build prop audio txt to 'none' it didn't work, I tried to run it in safe mode, I tried to clear cache and data from Google play service it didn't work please help?

Just an FYI... as a type of Unspoken Rule, the threads for its predecessor typically continues to the new version until/unless the OP Developer changes the title or states otherwise.
For the time being, you should use the Official LineageOS 14.1 thread for the klte devices.
