How to connect Galaxy S7 to Shield via bluetooth - Shield Android TV Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

OK so I did a search and couldn't find anything. I have an android phone (Galaxy S7) and I would like to connect it to my Nvidia Shield Pro via bluetooth and play music from my phone's SD card and have it stream to the shield to play on my home theater surround sound.
I have paired my phone with the shield, but nothing happens afterwards, it just shows paired and that's it. I play music on my phone and it just comes through the phone speakers.
Is this possible? If so, how?

[Q] Sending audio out via HDMI

I want to connect my Atrix to the Home Theater receiver, so that I can play streaming audio off of it (currently using MOG). Is it possible to do that?
Plugging in the Atrix to the HDMI cable only resulted in 2 options - do nothing or launch the entertainment center, neither of which serve my purpose.
I would appreciate any help. Thanks!
No DLNA on your home theater system?
I don't have a network receiver, but I do have a PS3, which supports DLNA. However, the music I want to play requires the MOG app, which is streaming off the Internet. Not sure if I can export it as a DLNA stream.
you can hack the atrix do do webtop over HDMI. Then you just supersize the phone view, and bam! you have HDMI out.

Music player + ReadyNas

hi, i am running my netgear readynas for music and videos. everything works fine with samsung TV, ps3, xbox, asus transformer but when i try and use it to play music with my s4 using the samsung music player it finds it under nearby devices but only finds one file thats actually not even a music file, its a video mp4 calibration file.
any ideas whats happening, same thing happens on my tab 3 8" too.

Ultimate media consumption?

Has anybody had any luck or even tried to get these three things working on this.
Ps4 remote play
Pc streaming using limelight
Kodi (xbmc) as media center
I have both ps4 remote play and limelight to stream my pc games from my pc working on my nexus 10 tablet and I connect that to my tv using the hdmi out. But since it is a tablet I don't wanna leave it hooked up to a tv. Would rather have a micro console of some sorts to do that. Plus I wanna plug in an external hard drive and play movies and tv shows off it and onto my tv. So I figured the mojo may work well.
Also has anybody successfully paired more than one moga controller to the mojo?
Thoughts? suggestions?
Thanks
Sent from my SM-N910P using XDA Free mobile app
I don't know about other stuff, but I have a moga pocket which paired correctly with Mojo.
Kodi works great!
No passthrough audio but everything else works well for me

Streaming music via USB

I've been using an iPhone for a few months because my S6 got stolen. I'm able to stream music with Google Play Music via USB. It sounds much better than via BT.
I know I can play stored music via USB, but is streaming music possible via USB?

(bluetooth) Paired device on android Tv paired but not connected ??

My TV & phone is paired but not connected - and Im having issues on how to connect them. I had them connected once before but do not know how I did it. Before I was able to successfully send a file via bluetooth from Tv to mobile phone, using the send file to Tv app. Does anyone know what I need to press/or do to re-connect the 2 paired devices ?
The worst part is all android Tv systems are all different - also on android 9 Tv they all different - Only on Sony its basically all automatic - not all have a Sony.
