Hi,
I recently purchased a unlock code from unlockadic for my vibrant but when I went to use it it said Network lock request unsuccessful. Does anyone have any ideas?
If this is in the wrong section I apologize
P.S. I did contact unlockadic and said that this has never happened and that he would have to have his guys look at the problem.
bump because i had the same issue.
you need a non-t-mob sim in the phone for the unlock to activate
I have an account with Rogers & that is the SIM l put in the phone-result was unsuccessful. Code is correct unlock code-i got the same code from three different sources but no luck.

hussafilms is correct.
You need to put in a sim from a network that the phone was not designed for. So if you bought the phone from tmobile then put in a att sim or if you bought it from another company put in a sim that is not from that company. So if you have the galaxy s from rogers then put in a tmobile sim or something.
Let me clarify, I bought a Samsung t959 Vibrant from ebay locked to t mobile and I put in my Rogers SIM card, entered the code and it was unsucessful
How many times did you try to enter the unlock code? I beleive if you have three failed attempts, it will be permanatly locked.
I called ATT and gave me my unlock code for my Motorola Atrix. I used a Tmobile sim card, entered the code. And it said Network unlocked successful. So do I need to enter the code every time I use a non-ATT sim or it is unlocked forever?
And if I do an update, would it still be unlocked, or would I need to re-enter the code.
Thanks.
It is permanently unlocked.
Your good to go
Called sprint today and asked to sim unlock the s4. they sent some request to my phone UICC unlock. followed instructions and it says its unlocked. i want to use it outside USA on GSM. is that it? it s unlocked?
Sounds like it. You can pop Inna T-Mobile or ATT Sim and if you DONT get "Sim card error" popup then you are unlock internationally.
I ll try and let you know
Hello. Im trying to use my old k20 on a new network. The doner sim card fuctions fine on 3 other teat devices. However it is not unlocking from Metropcs. Its been in my drawer for a while and can not find the original sim card. Whwn i insert working sim there is no Sim card detected. The Device Unlock app states both Pass and Fail.. What am i missing?
I have this message too, it basically is saying that the unlock fail because you (or somebody else) have already unlocked the device and have applied it. I just unlocked mine because I had forgot that I can so I can sell it, it worked and was approved, so it restarted and when I checked to see what it would say again, it gave me the "Unlock failed, Unlocked approved" message. In all, the phone is unlocked, but idk why it will still show the Metro PCS start up, aswell with all the bloat.

Unlocking the device doesn't automatically remove carrier bloatware and other signage. That's what the stock ROM for the phone will be like when it's bought as carrier locked.
As for the OP question, if the SIM works on other devices but not your K20, and you're sure it's carrier unlocked, have you tried doing a factory reset with the SIM card inserted beforehand? It may just be the stock ROM being stubborn or stuck with previous config data.
Hi Everyone,
I just bought a brand new s10+ from marketplace. I ran a full imei report and everything is clean & not blacklisted. It was a sprint phone however the provider I use is consumer cellular (uses ATT towers). When I put my sim card in it obviously said invalid sim and request it get unlocked. I wasnt concerned because I was going to convert it to unlocked anyways via odin like I did my note 9. I reflashed it via odin with the u1 firmware. However the same thing is happening it keeps saying invalid sim and the button for mobile operators is not showing. I have a tmobile sim card and if I put that in it works fine. Being though tmobile and sprint are the same thats why it works fine. I also have a ATT sim card, If i put that in I get the same invalid sim message. So it still appears to be locked somehow. Only sprint / t mobile sim works. I thought by reflashing to unlocked it would unlock the phone sim.
Just to be clear the phone is brand new and never was attached to any account.
Any ideas? I dont know what to do here.
Thanks!!
As I understand, phones that are locked to a network are not just software branded... also the phones hardware ID. So flashing a generic firmware is not enough. You need to get the phone unlocked from the phone's original operator
I found out what I had to do. I had to use a remote unlock service to remove the software lock on the phone. Its fine now. Thanks
