V9 Quad Band Smartwatch Phone - Other SmartWatches

Good morning to all,
I have bought this smartwathc, my idea was to use it as a phone when I was on call, but some apps don't work.
Every time that I try to open an app like facebook or whatsapp on the watch it says, check version and after that download failed.
Does any one has this smartwach or know how to fix it?

thanks

I'm not sure but I think you need a SIM-card with mobile data

android market terms of service problem

Hello, i finally got my Hero. loaded a new ROM onto it and rooted it, but i´m having some trouble with the market app. whenever i try to open it it just says loading "android market terms of service" and stays there forever, the only choice is to wait longer og choose decline.
I´ve triyed both on wifi and gprs connection, and every other application on the phone can use both connections to browse and so on.just not android market..
Here is a little infor about the phone to help you figur my problem out.
ROM: update-hero-modacocustomrom-1.1-signed
Firmware version: 1.5
Baseband Version: 63.18.55.06U_6.35.04.25
Kernel version: 2.6.27-a550404199 [email protected] #521
Build number: 1.79.482.3 14733 CL#49365 release keys
Software version 1.0.0.A6288
Hope some kind soul is willing to help me out, thank you in advance.
I just put 1.1 on my Hero a few hours ago, and Market is still working fine for me. i did update the radio first though; you might want to try that.
otherwise, it could just be Market playing up, not at all unusual in my experience...
Updated the radio to this version, "update-hero-radio-63.18.55.06_6.35.05.15-signed" still no luck getting allowed to accept the terms of service, but i seems that the phone now has better signal strenght to the phone net.
After apoximitly 5 minutes i get a window instead of the loading screen where is says "Attention. An error has occured. Please try again later."
this sounds similar to teh connection errors that people are experiencing when they skip the sign in process during the initial set up. In general,m the only solution to that is to hard reset and sign in to google at the very first opportunity, during the set up screens and before you ever see the touchflo homescreen.
of course, it could just be a proxy in the APN settings.....
Year, i had that problem on the first time i changed the ROM, on that occasion i skipped the google account setup, and couldn´t use any program the used the internet.
But on this install i did do the sign in on first boot, and every program other that market that uses the internet or GPRS is working (weather, browser, mail, stock´s and so on)
Only thing that won´t start is the market tearms of service.
I had the exact same problem.
You need to contact your service provider and get the APN settings for your provider. After you have entered them in connect to marketplace over 3G and you should be fine.
My problem was caused by my phone company, Chess.no, shipping the unit with APN settings for Netcom! Obviously with a Chess sim inside the phone had some connectivity problems. Once the Chess APN settings were in I got connected straight away.
are you using wifi or 3g? I heard that market likes to make it's initial connection over 3G....
sadly i have a locked t-mobile G2 so i don't have any of these problems, i just sign in and it is automatically set up for me over 3G.
Arctic Matt was spot on, there was no APN profile in the phone, just made one with a name. after that it worked instantly.
Thanks alot.
Thanks for listening
I cannot believe that Scandinavian mobile providers, with their lazy ass coffee drinking cake eating lifestyle, have failed to notice this problem. If you look around on other forums (Google, Chess, Netcom) there are tons of people with this shortfall. I am so sick of this constant crap in Norway that I am moving my entire family over to Canada! In Norway, the technology is there and people want it but the companies providing it are infested by tech thick 50 year old management morons who are incapable of overseeing projects.
Just imagine if you were not a member of xda devs and have just got this phone as an average Joe. No apps! No help! ...and they wonder why people hack the phones to hell.
Glad I could help.
Sorry to dig up an old thread but I've got the exact same problem and have tried everything listed here. I had this issue on my LG Optimus One running Froyo, I flashed with a new ROM and still have the same problem.
I tried:
1. Master Reset through the phone (3 times!)
2. Entering APN and connecting via the mobile network before using WiFi (also tried WiFi first before using mobile network, no difference).
3. Signing in through the YouTube App and ensuring sync was on, yes that works, and I can see my Gmail, but still can't sign into the Market.
After (3), each time I try to open the Market I get " An error has occurred. Please try again later." and the Market just exits.
Anyone have any other solutions which might work??

Sometimes your provider will block your connection to market, until you verify that you are over 18 (as a child proofing method) etc.. (even on wifi, somehow)
at least that was a problem with someone I knew.. .. I assume master reset would clear market data and cache?

I don't think that's my issue, I've used my SIM as well as many other SIMs in other Android phones to access the market, it just seems to be an issue with this particular handset, oh well its weird!
Did you find a solution to your problem? I just flashed Android 2.2 to my HD2 and have a similar problem, only android market wont work.
Thanks!

Okay so i had to download an app called MoreLocale2 and force the locale to English(United States) and hard reset the phone. Worked fine after that. Hope it helps!

DHD Going to Voicemail

I've had my DHD for a few days now.
Originally it was locked to 3 and sold to me as brand new and still sealed in its box. All I've done is put my old sim (from my iphone) in and unlock it to my carrier (O2) and installed a few apps, etc,
However I've noticed that the majority of my calls are goiung direct to VM and that I'm not getting alerted to new VM's.
I've seen a few threads around (here and other forums) that talk about this being "the norm" when gprs is in use - either fore of background use.
So my question is ... how do I identify what is using gprs or is there some way of turnign it on/off whenever I want to use it? Not being able to receive calls just because I checked my emails or similar is ludicrous. Never had this issue with my iphone ...
Any help for this HTC / Android newbie would be great.

So answering my own question - it turns out there's an HTC widget toolbar that has some of the more important (I guess) on/off functions available.
Installed that and now I can turn off/on - wi-fi / mobile / auto-sync / roaming - as and when I want. Turning off mobile solves my issue and also turned off wi-fi which just helps preserve power.
If anyone knows of a better toolbar / widget to do all this and more than please I'd love to hear of it.

Lemfo Lem5 Pro Smartwatch - brand new with issues

Hello. I'm new to the group. Like so many others I was looking for a cost effective smartwatch that was not as expensive as Samsung or Apple. The Lemfo Lem5 Pro got very good reviews so I ordered. I use iPhone 7+. According to the company and the seller (Gearbest) this watch works with iPhone.
It arrived today and I find it not very functional at all. Not like in the few review videos I've seen. It won't show me the IOS option in the phone's bluetooth section under available devices although it shows up on my phone and says connected. WiFi also shows connected but I can't seem to do anything online. I can't even get the weather to show up. When I click on the plus side to add more watch faces it simply shows a spinning wheel and does not want to show me the supposed 50+ watch faces available for download. It shows me 4 faces.
I Have tried doing a hard reset of the phone and it still seems to not want to function.
Does anyone have any experience with the Lemfo Chinese smartwatches that can offer some help on why this device might not want to connect to anything? My wifi is very strong and shows connected. The watch shows that it is connected to the iPhone but the LEM5 IOS option does not appear anywhere in my settings so I am at a loss to understand why it isn't doing what it should. The instructions are sadly very minimal and a less than great translation from chinese.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions you might offer. The watch looks great just doesn't seem to want to do anything.
Just got the LEM5 Pro.
After watching a few videos, i've realised that this more of a Smart Phone in the shape of a watch. So the functionality even with an android phone is very limited.
It can connect to an android phone after u download software, but even then... you cant make calls unless you insert a sim into the "watch".
Dear sir, which app I have to download for connecting my Lemfo Lem5pro.I am unable to do any thing with this Watch.Kindly advise me which app I have to download to activate with my phone.
Kindly advise me.
Thanking you.
Where did you got the LEM5 Pro? I am going to order one from coolicool, it is less than 120 bucks now.
same problem
i had the same issue at the beginning i thought it was due to the lemfo server being busy or webpage being hallt for few weeks.
it worked after few days. i have problem in connecting to different android app for watch. i cant even connect to lemfo band app. it only works on lemfo watch app which is pretty useless. if you find any solution to connect bluetooth directly to phone then please share with me. i want control my watch with my phone such as tracking health and other uses of the app. thanks
What about Android phones it has the same issue
Connection
The only way my Galaxy 8 plus will connect to my watch is if I use Bluetooth Tethering. Search for Bluetooth Tethering in the settings of your phone, turn it on, and select the watch from that screen, it'll connect.
The problem I'm having is it won't send texts.
I have a lemfo lem5 pro wich have the same issues, the software seems to have a bad optimization ,to make weather work i insterted a sim ,gps without sim for me is not working , the wireless is working but i don't see a browser ,the 50 faces are showing up but it's takes a lot to load them and sometimes stops loading after a few.
I know the Lem X is a GSM device compatible with AT&T and T-Mobile, but I saw that if on the CDMA platform / Verizon, you should still be able to get call
ALERTS and text ALERTS. I know you can't answer calls on the watch, nor can you respond to texts, but I can get call alerts, but I just cannot get text alerts. Any idea how to make it alert me to texts?

I found a Smartwatch in the Sea!

Hello everyone. I'm on vacation right now and yesterday I found an LG G Watch in the sea. I'm really surprised it's still working, because the fitness app shows no data for the past week, and it's an IP67 device. But anyway:
I wanted to get the phone number of the owner so I could call him and give him back the device. But there's a problem: I don't have a compatible charging cable to pair it to my phone without resetting (through ADB), the Contacts app doesn't allow me to see phone numbers, just contact names, and if I try to start a call or send an SMS the watch says I can't because of course I'm disconnected from any device.
What can I do?
I don't want to give it to the local police, cause last time I returned a smartphone, and two days later the policeman was using it as if it was his own.
P.S.: I wanted to post this on the dedicated LG G Watch subforum, but since there's not much activity and since this is a completely normal Android Wear (1.5) phone, I thought I could reach more people posting here. Thanks for the help!
up... nobody can help?
So there's no way to find the owner huh?
I'd say that you are the new owner. Unless the prior owner put a special app on the watch, given that it is not an LTE device, there is no way to determine who the owner is, even if you charge it up.
You could ask LG if the owner registered it and if they would return it to them ?
or...
Settings - Personalisation - Accounts
does it show an email address ?
Here in Ireland there's a popular radio (FM) show that people call in with unusual little requests and issues with wide coverage. Usually somebody who knows the other person tells them about it within 5-10 mins. Maybe theres something similar in Italy?
If it's got no data for over a week, keep it. Congrats on the find.
Thanks to anyone for the given advice. I tried hardwiring a cut USB cable and pushing a Contacts APK with no success (app instantly crashed). Sent an eMail to LG some days ago and still no response. Also my holiday ended so I'm back to my far away city.. I feel really sorry, but I can't find any other way. Unfortunately there's no radio like that.
I have seen more people get better results on Reddit. Try r/helpmefind subreddit.
you could try this:
go to settings -> known networks
look for a wifi and create at home a new one with no password and the same name. The watch should connect to it and you are able to send a sms or something else.

If it's not difficult, can I have a photo of the back of the box? What's the model number for the LTE version?
