I have problem with my gps. Whenever i put my gps on and open maps for navigation, the arrow gets stuck and doesnt move while i am walking or travelling in a car. I updated maps from play store and even cleared data of maps but the issue is still there.
Any solution to this issue?
Check if the same problem persists on other navigation apps
Hello GPS(GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEM) is not successful, at least 10 m of gap!
Same problem here

Hello
I have exactly the same problem. Did you find amny solution?
Ar You guys on stock or custom ROM?
Just asking because I'm on stock Oreo and I've been using the GPS few times/week since Nov. -17 across Europe/North Africa and had no bigger issues except that few times it took almost 1 min. to lock position.
Otherwise haven't had any issues what so ever.
No GPS problem here, got the phone since yesterday and I have no problem playing ... Pokemon Go
Didn't notice any issues with gps, locking speed or google maps on latest stock rom (rooted).
I have the same exact issue as OP, same problem persists with other navigation apps. My location would only be unstuck after I reboot the phone and reopen the navigation app directly after rebooting.

i have noticed that every time i try to use google maps and drive i get major SOD problems and freezing and all kinds of ****.
today after driving for about 30 minutes the phone just completely lost its mind, i had to restart it 3 times in 20 minutes, every time it goes to sleep it never wakes up, when im around my area its fine no problems at all( but i dont use google maps)
only "attempt" to use maps when im driving and usually its a very painfull experience, i fn hate google maps and every time i use it i want to throw this phone out the window.
anyone else nottice the connection between google maps and SOD? or any other phone issues after or while using google maps?
im using the NexusHD2-FRG83_V1.6_(Froyo 2.2.1) build for about a weeks now with very minimal problems
only once in a while theres a pause when waking up usually it wakes up on second attempt.
today first time i used google maps on this build and it totally **** itsself after that
same with my other builds, they just crash and burn,
one locked up in same spot forever
another couldnt find my location at all
keeps restarting on another build
etc...
anyone else?
Do you use a kernel with the g-sensor patch?
Google maps used to drive me nuts as well when moving, especially when I have a gps lock (no clue why that is). With the gsensor patch it seems to work ok here at least.
Has anyone else experienced Google's Navigation crashing back to the Maps app? I see this a few times a week. Today I saw a weird artifact forming a wavy line going from the bottom left to the top right, then the app crashed. Normally it just crashed without artifacts, and sometimes the dot representing me vanishes. Tried clearing Maps' cached data but it still happens.
Generally it remembers the navigation request and after the crash I can click the blue arrow to bring Navigation back up. Odd quirk, never happens on my Gingerbread phone.

Yes Im having crashes wit googled navigation as well. When I start the app, it waits fort GPS land when I touch the screen the program closes. And the drive home widget doesn't work at all.
I have thuis probleem on my 2 nexus7 machines running Android 4.2.1. On my HTC wildfire S running Android 2.3.5 it works fine though.
I cleared the app data and cache, and I've reset it once. After those, it works fine for me. Curious.

I tried on a Qware pro 3 tablet running Android 4.03 and it works fine. And this machine doesn't even has GPS. On the Nexus 7 running android
4.2.1 the google navigation app can't connect to the GPS and keeps waiting, while the drive home widget keeps
o try to sync ( with GPS I think).
I sometimes have the N7 forget to see GPS satellites. Sometimes opening GPSTest+ helps, other times nothing. Since factory resetting it after installing 4.2.1, it has worked fine for me.
Hi all
Having problems with my gps.
When I'm using google maps it keeps freezing so that its stuck in the same place for about ten seconds at a time then updates itself and starts working again properly
The phone is perfectly usable when its doing it so I'm guessing its the GPS.
Anyone had the same issue and any suggestions?
I've factory reset still no go.
Cheers
Hello
My Galaxy S 4 I9505 has weird behaviour.
When i'm driving and start the Google Maps app it gets everything OK (Position, I can use search), but moments later (about 5 min driving) the phone shuts down and that's it, I just can properly turn it on again when i'm stopped (When I try while i'm driving, it almost completes the turn on process, but it shuts down in the middle, sometimes the phone resets to the stock language).
This issue just occurs when I using the Google Maps, because this morning I used just Youtube and Google music while i'm going to work (I was hitchhiking ) and nothing happened.
This problem is getting me crazy, today I will make a new test. I will turn off the GPS on the device and will start Google Maps and see if the problem occurs again.
I will install another app that uses the phone GPS.
Ano more thing, my 2 weeks ago my phone fell and now the screen is broken. Aparently is just the screen, could the fall may broke (or uncalibrated) my GPS?
Any light here?
Thanks!
Not the GPS / Google Maps
Forget what I said before, I was watching Youtube and the same problem happened again!!
I believe that's the battery...
Hi all,
My gps and maps app are acting weird since yesterday night. I tried to reboot both app and phone, but something still seems off. I also tried to switch off and back on the gps, but it doesn't seem to have worked.
Long story short: I have a Nexus 4 with factory rom since 2013. Yesterday on the way home maps got stuck twice; it would show the road, but it wouldn't show my location.
Today I have been able to drive to the airport and return, but it often showed my location in the wrong place, especially when close to exits and parallel roads.
Any idea?
Thanks!
