Why ?

I tried all the Links and Files here on this forum But None of them worked on My O2 Mini S. (WIZARD)
It says " O2 plus is not supported on this device"
How come?

In My Case It says "MyStErY patchPatch for O2 Plus v2.0" Cannot be installed
Try Installing in Other Location
I tried the storage card too.Wont Install(I mean the patch)
It is NOT there in add remove progs also.
But ll the PLUG IN settings are showing in the TODAY SETTINGS though
they Wont Work.
BY THE WAY the link mentioned above has many FILES and VERSIONS in different Messages.
Though I have tried all..is there any specific one which Works the Best On WIZARD / Qtek9100/ i mate K-Jam/ O2 mini S ?

The patch is for all phones, I used the file listed in the first page. It works on mine.
Storing on the card is a problem, you have to install it on the wizard after installing O2 plus and reseting the wizard.

That site is somewhat odd. It's aimed at asian O2 customers. Is there a UK specific version?

Yeah, already been through that thread. Was looking for one specifically for my phone and hoping to get a UK version....
And I still want to know what the patch actually does....

Then I really don't know what you want or are looking for. This is for all phones including the one I have "Wizard" which is what this forum is all about.

I was just trying to find the one that is officially for my phone (O2 XDA Mini S), not that has been convinced to work with my phone.
But I was still wondering what the patch does. Does it change some registry settings so the phone looks like a compatible phone or have the limitations just been removed from the app or something else?

To get it to work on my UK O2 Mini S XDA I downloaded the file that contains both files,

un-rar'ed them to my XDA, ran the program file, reset my XDA and then ran the patch file.

I didn't know you could choose, normally it asks me either phone or card...

My phone crash and can boot to Windows
I try this update this version and it cause my phone to crash and now it can't boot to Windows (only to booter !!).
I try to use previse ROM I use to update (depod ROM) and it fail on 2% although I already did that once (I update from CHN to WWE).
Does this utility erase and lock the phone ??
Anybody know who to recover from that crash ?

I use "ARTE_DOPODAU_12570702_026990_WWE_SHIP.exe" and my phone came to live.

I did the upgrade
I also had the lockup like L.A , but reverted to the dopod rom and run the program a second time. And now I am running the customised ROM
Will evaluate and feed back. Maybe a bit late because I would be on the road a bit

Are you guys using a dopod mobile phone, or another brand? (Original htc, orbit, etc.).

Mine is originally HTC P3300.
I confirm that the lite edition also works on my phone. I may stick with it because I want the freedom to choose my applications without cluttering my memory. The lite also have audio booster, graphic equaliser, and voice recorder, and media hub.
In addition to these, the customised one has Notem, GSFinder, Sprite backup, reset, BatteryStatus, Card export, and soft key aplet, opera browser, TCPMP, registry editor, etc.
I must be off now.

Yes, some time back

i can also confirm that this only works if you have a clean device, ie. you have to HARD RESET the device BEFORE you update with these roms (both lite & customized). (you also have to hard reset after the update)
ps. the also seem to have a third rom on their website, has anybody tried this?
p.p.s it seems that this rom does not allow you to go below the year or 2143 when you try to set the date and time, can somebody please try this on their device to see if they have the same problem.

The third ROM comes with some map software but I did not d/l it because I wanted a lean base.
You can set the date to "normal"by going to start>settings>system>regional settings and change from Thai to English (US)
The Dopod ringtones are also posted as a cab file at the same site.
Admins: Since this is not "ship ROM" where does it fit? Will upload later if there is clarification. The PDA Mobiz site is painfully sloooww

Lite and Modified versions on ftp now
I have put them there now.
Tips: The hard reset procedure will not show a "lighted screen" , so hold the buttons a bit longer (i did it for 20-30 seconds ) before releasing them.
When phone is resetting and tells you ".....The cold boot did not complte ......."and you need to press yes, do not be in a hurry Just take some 20 seconds before clicking on the soft button.
If you get stuck, reflash the shipped rom and try again after the initial settings. (tip above was to hard reset before starting)

HTC solved problem with hotfix slider

if you download the hotfix slider to HTC UK and overwrite with the old version, working great, now the videocall working

Thanks for the info. It's weird, that the file date still seems to be Jan. 7, 2009 (which is when people were having problems with it). However, I installed it just now and it worked fine.

Yes, can confirm! The new fix works fine. Release Date is the same, but filesize is different.

Or can I just install the new version on top of the old hotfix?

Unistall Hotfix BLA03337 (slider fix) and the antifix(if you installed it), then download and install the new slider hotfix from htc support.

no, I overwrite the new one without unistalling the prev version.
it's BLA03337, if you want unistall it before use te new hotfix.

That's strange the UK got 4 fixes and when I look on the dutch site I only see 2
Is it still possible to download them ? even if there are english

Installed again and now the video caller icon appears again.

Unfortunately, I unistalled the old hotfix (the one which messed up the videocall button) before installing the "new" hotfix, and now I cannot install it anymore: it says "please use the correct version". And BTW the text is still there... any ideas?
Does anybody still have the old version of the hotfix, such that I can try to reinstall it?

I've discovered that in europe the Nubia z17 is called as Archos Diamond Omega.
I would like to know if someone can confirm me this, ad if the rom will be the same?

It should have an international rom pre-installed with google play etc.

These are the same devices if you have Z17S with 8GB RAM and 128GB ROM.

No need twrp. Just download global rom and install it, it works perfectly for me, i just did it.

Any version is compatible. 1.06 is more stable

Hello, I have a version "Cn_Common_2.10" I received it originally with my z17s, by geekbuying. Is it better that I stay on this version? Knowing that I think that it is impossible for me to have the update in ÔTA because in the settings I do not know how to open the option ...
